More like the last WC final![]()
"The sinking superpower."
That’s how one Russian MP, Vyacheslav Nikonov, described post-election America in today’s Komsomolskaya Pravda paper.
A Russian senator I spoke too raised the spectre of "civil war in a country with nuclear weapons".
With the postal votes likely to be mostly Dem, looks like Michigan (16), Nevada (6) and Arizona (11) plus the 237 Biden has, that’s 270.
I must have miscounted - the final result will be Biden 270 - 268 Trump.
Will the winner be decided on the basis of who made more campaign speeches?![]()
Joe Biden is projected to win Michigan gaining 16 electoral college votes towards the 270 required in the race for the White House
That will put him on 264, so he still needs the 6 from Nevada.
269 now assuming he takes Michigan. Still needs Nevada.
Personally, its the best of both worlds - Biden presidency with Republican Senate. That will prevent any absurdities being passed like rolling back tax reforms or packing the court.
Stimulus will be a bisht now.. Mitch McConnell is going to be a happy maan.
He is already ditching Trump look at his press conference
Republican establishment never liked Trump in the first place (look at the criticism of Mitch against Trump in 2016)
Does anyone think Trump will be back in 2024 ?
Does anyone think Trump will be back in 2024 ?
There is a chance. Unless he is doing time in jail
Highly doubt it.
However Kanye West got approx 50,000 votes in 12 states but has already declared Kanye2024.![]()
I've posted an analysis which I hope.helps clear things up.

Yep. Would have preferred for him to have won a second term so there would have been no doubts about his success as a President. Now there will always be a large section of America who will feel he was robbed of pushing through the reforms necessary to make America great again. That is how it will be presented by the nostalgia vets who still hark back to the US of the 50s.

In America if you're a one-term President then you're de facto considered a failure.

Not if it is such a close contest and if the supporters of the losing side believes in conspiracy theories that "someone" doesnt want its leader to win. Both these factors exist in trump's case.
Not by the people who voted for him I bet.
No guarantee Trump won't contest and win in 2024.![]()
I think Biden is going to take Pennsylvania. Trump’s lead has dropped from 600k to 150k with 500k mail-in votes still to count.
Nevada is really tight. Arizona and Georgia getting tighter too.
Arizona has been decided already
Donald is not dead in this yet.
Can you give your source? I'm looking at Google and Trump has a lead of about 200,000 and 89% votes counted.

He is. PA is Biden's and it won't be close.
As far as I see, Trump's lead in PA, NC, GA and AK is too large for Biden to cover. However, Biden only needs Nevada, over there Biden's lead is paper thin.
The manner in which these mail in ballots have swung the election completely in states where Trump was leading is very suspicious
especially where Biden received 1 million votes whereas Trump received only 1000s

Georgia is definitely up in the air - last time I checked Trump's lead is down to 18K and the Secretary of State for Georgia said there's about 50K votes to count

Likely but not guaranteed yet.
The two Georgia Senate races may go to a run-off in January 2021 which would decide which party holds the Senate. I shudder to think of the amount of money that'll be thrown into those contests...

Lead down to 116,000 with 8% of the votes left to count - about 500,000 on play. Biden likely to get at least 2/3 of these. He’s going to win.
Nevada lead for Biden up from 8000 to 12000.
This is like the last day of a great test match.
We all know Biden has won it, it's just the formal crossing of the line left.
In cricket parlance, its the 5th day of a test but target is tiny something like 150. The chasing team had a stutter in the beginning and were reduced to 25/3 but now are at 120/3 with two set bats at the crease.

Trump is not winning Pennsylvania. Philadelphia has huge amounts of votes left and Biden has already reduced the gap to some thousand, coming from way behind.
Georgia also has most of the mail in vote left and those have leaned heavily democratic. Plus the counties with votes left have gone and go blue, Atlanta being the important one here. Biden has made up the gap significantly and he only needs 3 out of every 5 to get the lead. Certainly possible and it's trending that way too.
NC is very close too and I have little idea about the vote left there. Could go either way but with Trump leading, I think he takes it.
Biden will win this without needing PA. As you say he only needs Nevada. The vote left there is mainly from Vegas area and that is a democratic. It's going to near impossible to make up for that.
Alaska is a safe red state so that's going to Trump.
The question left I think is how large is going to be Biden's margin.
If Dems restore the blue wall, take Georgia and Arizona, this will be a good election for them. They have made inroads in Texas and as evident NC as well, which could very well go blue.
Trump lead in Georgia down to 13,000 with 38,000 left to count, again mostly postal votes coming from blue counties - Biden needs 66% of these to win but he’s hitting 80%.
The manner in which these mail in ballots have swung the election completely in states where Trump was leading is very suspicious especially where Biden received 1 million votes whereas Trump received only 1000, I can understand why Trump will demand an extensive audit of these votes
