US Elections 2020 : The Joe Biden vs Donald Trump Thread

True that. A reason why i would never vote a Democrat in even if i cant personally stand the incumbent. And to top it all, the Democrats in my area are also keen on increasing the property taxes!

Ironic as southern states are known for having high property and sales tax to make up for no state income tax

Thats why everybody is flocking to Florida these days! I am in northern NJ & we are taking a beating everywhere.

223 Biden 166 Trump. Lol Can Biden end up being the oldest US President to get elected to office?

223 Biden 204 Trump. News Channels are calling Texas for Trump

Trump's got this.

Not possible, he can't win those 3 swing states - MI, WI, PA with the behemoth of postal votes that are yet to be counted. People thought Trump won VA, then the urban votes of NoVa came in and swung back to Biden.

Ay bro i heard lotta fine palestinian girls there :afridi
Yea lot of Arabs

Philly the biggest metro only reported 22% of votes so far, rest are from rural areas and the postal votes expected to be more than 60% in Biden's camp.

Interesting Biden has come out an made a statement saying he's on track win. The tone sounds like one of a defeatist. Very odd. Perhaps he was banking on Florida.

Donald Trump's surge among Hispanic voters shows shallowness of the liberal narrative about race

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...WT.mc_id=tmgliveapp_androidshare_AwL1QvyCTQqS

Trump wins Florida.

You're embarrasing yourself. British people clearly know nothing about America. Cuban-Americans have always been a solid Republican voting bloc, they fled Cuba cause of socialism. Cuban-Americans are a separate subgroup within the Hispanic votebank in fact most Hispanics would consider it a separate votebank altogether as Cubans have always been heavily conservative (Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio etc). If anything the Hispanic vote helped flip Arizona from Trump to Biden and almost pull an upset in Texas. Other states with huge Hispanic populations have been reliable blue for decades such as California, New York, New Jersey, DC, Illinois and New Mexico. Cubans expectedly vote for Trump and the British media thinks Trump won the Latino vote :)) .

Yeah defeatist like whining about the election being stolen cause you're losing :))

Looks like the polls were wrong again. The reliable polls had Biden winning Florida, and despite 100Ms from Micheal Bloomberg, Democrats failed to win Florida.

The race stunt failed for the liberals.

Actually only some of the polls had Biden up by 1% and others had Trump up, also 1% is well within the 4-5% margin of error. It's basic statistics.

LOL! The MSM and Democrats were doing bhangra based on polling data before the election, but when the polling turns out to be wrong, it's - 'margin of error'.

Glass ceiling anyone?

Democrats didn't learn from 2016 that they shouldn't have blindly believed the opinion polls leading up to Election day and most importantly blindly believing in CNN.

Achingly close.

Will come down to the 3 rust belt states.

But Trump is winning, no?

All the polls said Biden would win easy.

Lolwut?!

The score right now

Biden 224 - Trump 212.

How is that winning? The polls didn't say it would be an easy win, it just predicted that the race would be decided by by the 3 midwest states - PA, WI and MI and that's correct, those are very close right now but once the mail in votes are accounted for I predict a Virginia like result.

Americans will never believe in these polls again, mark my words.

All the news channels say different numbers. Which one are you following?

😂😂 Reminds me of Andrew Scheer where he failed to defeat Trudeau given the fact the later was at his most vulnerable and ready for taking out

This is what most pollsters expected it would look like and it kinda looks like this rn

Biden just won Nebraska's second congressional district, first time a Dem has won it since Obama 2008.

The Black dude on CNN is stopping short of crying and venting where he is like this current president showed grotesque incompetence in handling Covid-19, blatantly encouraged racism, xenophobia and white supremacy and still this race was not as dominant for the Democrats as it was anticipated to be 😂😂

What do the shaded ones mean?

Light pink and Light blue means it leans towards either repub or democrat which is why Texas was close and Florida went to Trump within 5 points. Darker shade means a more comprehensive win.

Many Americans are probably feeling like how we felt after Modi won 2019.

Biden will be the new president . Biden will win Michigan just like Wisconsin.

Biden will be the new president . Biden will win Michigan just like Wisconsin.

In that state:

Trump: 51.6%
Biden: 46.7%

With only 22% of votes left to come in. Biden has a lot of catching up to do.

Can someone please tell me in a nutshell who is in a better position to win? What ate the percentages looking like atm?

Nah Trump or no Trump we will be fine I am definitely not feeling like that or worried one bit,

Coca Cola and US can survive under the leadership of a monkey, that's how good the system is

Don't worry fellow Americans

But Biden will win trust me (just hope to God it doesn't turn into another court battle)

What results are you seeing?

Trump seems leading in all these states except WI.

Seems RTS down in USA no update since long time they stuck at 227 vs 213. Time to call for a Dharna. Full Pakistani Mahol there.

Minisota is Biden's

Other results aren't out but historically all these states voted for one party (but don't know what's happening right now)

Give the poll workers some break

They'll start the count at 7

Wis is still too close with just 3000 votes to count

Pen Trump leading by a million votes (but 2 million early votes are still to be counted)

Democrats ko doob ke marjana chahiye, they had the whole media on their side, they had so many Trump screw up's to refer too, a lot of racist episodes and acts to cite, they put everything into this campaign and still they are fighting life and death against a candidate who was there for the taking

In 2016 yes

In 2020 incumbent is always powerful
You have to be a terrible Candidate to lose
So you're being totally unfair or don't know about the political system here because in parliamentary government Presidents get changed easily but here

Political stability is the name of the game (and rightly so)

It rarely works that way in the states.
You usually end up a Republican or Democrat for life, no matter who the leader is.
Furthermore, there is no third party so you get such a heavily polarised opinion.

Americans don’t care about trumps screw ups, if they did he wouldn’t have one in 2016. They care about his policies, right wing nationalism has been on the rise globally, there’s really nothing much the democrats could’ve done.

Basically Biden will win but there's a chance republicans can win senate while they're likely to take the senate.

Biden will be like Obama and will struggle to get things done, most Americans are uneducated about politics and will see him as crap, thus 2024 will be another republican.

Mail in ballots not counted fully yet.

It will favor biden.

Who will win dunno.

Biden has gained in the last few hours.

I've posted an analysis which I hope.helps clear things up.

http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/s...-of-the-United-States&p=10939830#post10939830

Right, so now there's tangible results to sink our teeth into I'll do some analysis.

- The partisan distribution between Election Day votes and mail ballots has played out as expected. Republicans generally turned up on the day hence their initial leads - Democrats have a big advantage amongst mail-in voters which are now being counted.

- Mail ballots would've been counted earlier in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania but Republican controlled State Legislatures blocked the counting of mail ballots before Election Day.

- Democrats should very disappointed with the Senate race and Chuck Schumer should resign. Instead of pouring funds into long shots like Kentucky, Kansas, Texas and South Carolina - they should've razor focused on North Carolina, Maine and Iowa. GOP will likely retain the Senate and we're in for another era of Divided Government.

- Cuban Americans, often descendants of landlords from the Batista era (no not the wrestler...) who left after the Castro Revolution, moved significantly to Trump's anti-socialist message and won Florida. This is why the notion of a monolithic "Latino vote" is wrong.

- Pollsters miss the mark again - especially in the Senate race. Okay it's a unique election in a pandemic and record breaking turnout, but Trump has definitely outperformed expectations. Personally it's sad more voters have broken for Trump in 2016 given his botched handling of Coronavirus and of racial tensions, I call a spade a spade and credit the GOP ground game. They knocked on doors and registered voters.

- Flipping Arizona is big for Biden. It means if he holds Nevada - he only needs Michigan and Wisconsin to get 270.

- Biden is likely to make up the deficit in Pennsylvania and possibly Georgia, and hold his lead in Nevada, Wisconsin and Michigan. Reason is the ongoing counts are mainly in Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, Atlanta, Milwaukee and Detroit where there are large populations of African-Americans, and of the mail ballots which favour Biden.

Muslims in Michigan in pulled through. Lots of votes from Dearborn and Detroit.

I think Biden should win this election. He is way ahead on popular vote and also in the electroal college it looks likely he will win. But I also know Trump and his dictatorial tendencies. He will contest the results, and do recounts and there is nothing Dems will be able to do about it because SCOTUS is in his pocket.

So what are you saying - Trump is going to manufacture a win for himself by hook or crook?

All Trump can do is stall and that's it, he's just trying to drag things on but eventually will have to concede.

Yes, and it has happened before for those of you who are too young to remember. in 2000. Gore was left on 266 electoral votes. He was ahead by popular vote. Florida was the battleground state. Bush won because his brother Jeb bush stopped the recount in Florida and said "thats it, my brother won"

You think Trump is actually better than this? No!

So what are you saying - Trump is going to manufacture a win for himself by hook or crook?

nah court battle in supreme court maybe try to invalidate the early votes

who knows

BTW anyone preparing for a riot I am half expecting it tbh...

Trump is about to blow a 3-1 lead (yes I know absentee votes were counted later). But the way Trump supporters (many on here you know who you are) were celebrating you would think we would be hearing a concession from Biden right now.

Instead Biden's roared back in Wisconsin and Michigan. I think we wins those. Nevada could be decider which as voted blue in recent elections. The amazing thing is that everyone was talking about the importance of PA for Biden and he might not even need it. GA and NC are also in the running still. This could still be a landslide for Biden or a narrow victory for Trump. Biden just has more paths to victory whereas Trump needs at least 4 out of PA GA NC NV MI WI and even then he can't afford to lose PA.

You can already see Trump and his supporters trying to block the vote counting happening right now but as it stands he loses (MI WI NV are blue right now unlike last night). Personally, I don't see Trump making a come back from here but who knows what counties and what votes are left. Would be remarkable if Biden is able to flip GA and PA though.

I don't think SCOTUS will do something that will taint the integrity of the vote. Or I hope not at least even if they are largely Republican.

But yea Trump has more or less said he's going to the Supreme Court. And he claimed victory while votes were being counted once he saw Biden was making a comeback.
