Taken with a grain of salt. It’s a third-class tournament.

Hazratullah Zazai on his achievement: It is a proud moment for me. It is a very enjoyable moment for me that my name is now linked to so many big names of the game, who are really legends of the game. I am thankful to Almighty Allah for helping me score the 12-ball fifty. I want to keep enjoying my cricket always and will keep striving towards improving my cricket further. It was a surreal moment for me to perform in front of my idol (Chris Gayle). I was just trying to play my natural game and did not in anyway think of outshining anyone.

Lol, I am a right hander. I think I can bowl much better left arm spin than that.

Terrible bowling. Not even club standard spin bowling that was. He did one thing right and that was to bowl wide outside off on the last ball but Zazai adjusted beautifully and still reached the ball to hit it down the ground. Embarrassing stuff this from the bowler and it’s like he was on a assigned mission to just get smashed for a six every ball.

How come broadcasting quality of APL is much better than PSL?

What has that got to do with this thread

Can we keep our anti Pakistan biases off each thread in these forums?

The bowler is a spin version of Malinga (thanks to a friend for that observation)

He must be put in Opener slot asap. Another Fakar Zaman like Gem player. U never know he may just score 200 against India/Pakistan in next Asia cup

He is from Afghanistan
Has played few international matches for them

You are getting it wrong. It isn't supposed to be any dig. I was just surprised what AFG has done considering the limited resources that they have.

if you have watch 2018 session you would have not said that .

Have seen Imad Wasim hit similar shots on the same ground during practice for KK!

I can bowl better left hand than this bowler  And I am a right hander

He's probably the 8th person to achieve this feat.
1. On 31 August 1968, Garfield Sobers became the first man to hit six sixes off a single six-ball over in first-class cricket. The over was bowled by Malcolm Nash.

2. Ravi Shastri in January 1985. Playing for Bombay against Baroda at the Wankhede Stadium in Bombay, Shastri hit left-arm spinner Tilak Raj for six sixes in a single over.

3. On 16 March 2007, in a match between South Africa and the Netherlands at the 2007 Cricket World Cup, Herschelle Gibbs became the first person to hit six sixes off an over in a One Day International match. The over was bowled by Dutch leg-spinner Daan van Bunge.

4. On 19 September 2007, in the inaugural 2007 ICC World Twenty20, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes off a single six-ball over bowled by Stuart Broad.

5. On 24 April 2013, in a second XI game for Lancashire against Yorkshire at Scarborough, Jordan Clark hit six sixes off left-arm spinner Gurham Randhawa.

6. On 8 July 2015, Victorian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis hit part-time medium-pacer Brendan Smith for six sixes in an over. The game was a non-sanctioned practice match.

7. On 23 July 2017, Worcestershire Rapid's Ross Whiteley hit 6 sixes off six legal deliveries to bowler Karl Carver.

And now in T10 for Marahata Arabians : 76 in 35 balls - 10x4s and 4x6s fo

World record 16 sixes today in a T20I against Ireland.

Guys, is it just me or was the boundary of today's game ridiculously small?

Taking nothing away from the bloke but man if the boundary is really this small as I just saw in the highlights then we really can't look much into this innings.

You contradict yourself in one sentence.

The boundary is bigger than Sharja. It's a big stadium. Besides he hit several sixes on the roof.

Here are the highlights. You can point out which six is not gonna be six on most grounds.

Zazai to Shaheen Shah Afridi after hitting 5 fours!

Top guy, well built and fearless.

This kid has a great future ahead of him.

I'm a fan. It's about time he becomes a hot property in T20 leagues unless of course if the bowlers can work him out. Plays a lot on the leg side. Strong & very exciting.

If Munro can get a gig in IPL, I am sure Zazai can.

All Zazai has to do is score a couple of brisk 50's and scare Indian bowlers when they play India. He will be a top guy in IPL next year. IPL team scouts will be watching this guy like eagles :srini

Dropped already. Takes no time at all for bowlers with brains to figure out hacks at this level. He just got lucky that Shaheen isn't one of those bowlers.

Zazai is taking Karachi to the cleaners on his PSL debut! 37 from 11 so far, absolutely ridiculous hitting.

Not the most elegant of batsmen, but boy can he smack a cricket ball.

Lovely clean hitting.

Finishes on 63 from 26 balls. What an innings

Zazai receiving the player of the match award on his debut:

Hazratulla Zazai actually smashed the 50 only in "16 balls"
At the end of 5th over he was on 45 on (14 balls)
& The 6th over goes like this
5.1ball dot , hence Hazratulla on 45 on 15 balls
5 2 wide ......
5.2 wide ......
5.2 *NO* ball & he scored a boundary of that hence still he should be on 15 balls and on 49 runs after that boundary
5.2 which is free hit and bowl counted which he scored a single & get's to his 50 on *16 ball's* & it should be fastest in PSL .
Saj : I would request you to correct this mistake & give zazai his deserving record.

No ball is counted as a ball for the batsman.

Talented. Can hit it miles, but ODIs are likely going to be a problem for him as he has to find a balance between attack, defense and strike rotation. Evin Lewis has found that pretty difficult. KL Rahul found that balance 3 4 years after his debut. Even Warner took a while to find his way in ODIs.

He doesn't look more than 25 to be honest , he still got innocence on his face.

Nah bro I'm 26 and he looks older than me but then again I do look younger, a lot of Afghan players don't have accurate birth dates so I wouldn't be surprised if he's around 30.

Zazai is absolutely blowing Karachi out of the water in Eliminator 1. A 23-ball 50 in a crunch knockout game.

Not too impressed by the paratha belly, or the lack of footwork, but he hits the ball like it was manufactured in India.

Afghanistan has Zazai and we have the likes of Imam-ul-Haq.

Food for thought.

It is disappointing. There must be question marks whether his lack of footwork, or leg side swiping would be effective in more testing conditions, but his aggressive intent, and ability to hit the ball so hard using his wrists has to be admired. He's a potential match winner. Not really sure where you would assess Imam.

Looks like an athlete compared to some of the guys we are selecting.

He is a grade A hack who only knows leg side hack and the fact that he scored so many runs really puts questions over the quality of bowling in PSL

He is the power-hitter deluded fans think Sharjeel is.

I was hoping you would show up in this thread as his hack technique is exactly the sort of method you would have ripped to shreds if he was a Pakistani.

Any comments on his supposed age of 23 years? :91:

Hazratullah Zazai - 77 off 38 balls
Rest of Zalmi batsmen - 89 off 81 balls
10 extras

Not a fan of Mamoon generally but Sharjeel really is all hype. He doesn't rotate the strike, can barely move his feet and has a poor rate of conversion.

Some of Zazai's big hits today:

If only they had a fast bowler, they would be a top T20 team, ODI team

Zazai is what Sharjeel should have been!

The guy is showing today that he's not just a blind slogger.

He's played very sensibly so far.

Looks a damn good prospect for Pakistan from the little I’ve seen , where has he been hiding..
