The trend originated after journalist and political analyst Hasan Ayub discussed PTI’s intra-party election on an ARY News show called “The Reporters.” During the discussion, Ayub mentioned Noreen Farooq Khan, a former secretary of PTI in Punjab, who reportedly left PTI in March 2023 and joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PMLQ).

Hasan Ayub, considered a pro-PMLN journalist, claimed that Noreen was upset because newer PTI members gained prominence, while older workers like her were sidelined. Ayub stated that Noreen Farooq Khan wanted fair elections within the party.

Noreen Farooq Khan, in response, released a video statement, acknowledging Ayub’s presentation of her viewpoint and expressing her reluctance to condemn him.

So after the suspension of the Bat symbol theft by the mafia was suspended by PHC, poor Noreen has been crying.

atleast give some context in the op
I just saw the trend and thought it was funny. And apparently the context is that all the mafia are so scared of IK and his bat they want to lock him up and take away his symbol based on fake cases in the courts and ECP. Do you disagree with that

Noreen once again clarifies she has not been crying

The woman behind the viral trend ‘Noreen ro rahi hai’ has once again clarified that she is, in fact, not crying.

Noreen Farooq Khan, a disgruntled member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, had been in the news after a journalist said she was protesting as a newcomer (Barrister Gohar Khan) had been made the party’s chairman.

The use of the journalist’s words, along with the relatively unknown name of the subjuect had created a social media trend that had lasted for days.

However, the woman has once again told the media that she is actually doing the opposite of crying.

Khan turned up at the Supreme Court on Friday as a bench took up an appeal against the bat symbol being restored to the PTI. She was one of the parties in the original case filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan as well.

When jokingly asked by a reporter if she was still crying, a clearly emotional Noreen said she had always been laughing.

Asked why she seemed sentimental, Noreen said that she was sad at the state of the party. However, she said she did not care if the bat symbol stayed with the party or not.

Noreen also added that she had not received a letter of termination from the party at any point.
