Even in such times where the rule of law has been upheld in a spectacular fashion, the Indian media (some elements of it) are trying their best to turn the Court ruling into something more sinister!

Why?

How is Nawaz Sharif India's best friend? If Nawaz would have gotten away with it, they would have said look at the state of judiciary in Pakistan!

I think because India knew under Nawaz they had to nobody who could stand up to them. All Nawaz cared about is his bank balance and hold on power.

They are very worried esp if Imran gets into power, he will call a spade a spade even though he will work hard for peace.

Some of the comments I've come across from the Indian side reeks of an unhealthy desire to paint whatever happens in Pakistan in a negative manner. For e.g. there are comments that are saying "yet another PM who couldn't complete it's term", "doesn't matter who comes to power, Pakistan will always be a basket case", "Army this Army that" etc. And these are some of the more civil comments...

The consistent goal is to spin whatever is happening in Pakistan in a negative manner, no matter what is actually happening. Quite pathetic, petty and regressive.

Depends on who you're tracking. If you follow people like Bharat Bhushan on twitter, you'll notice that not only is he celebrating this, he's going so far as to put Pak judicial system ahead of India's!

Of course it's a different matter that I'd be worried if I had Bharat Bhushan in my corner!

I'm afraid to say you've been around the wrong Indians. I've seen quite a few that wish well upon Pakistan and Pakistanis. It's usually the low-class paindu mentality we see online. In professional environments you come across sound Indians

What India wanted is a subservient Pakistan with a pro Indian PM. That is why they are always attacking the Pak military for not letting Nawaz feel safe. They know full well that the removal of Nawaz is not a good thing for them especially with IoK being in fire. It also needs to be said that not all Indians are bad. Shekhar Gupta has been tweeting respectful comments on today's decision even criticising his own country for taking no action against Indian people whose names were disclosed in the Panama leaks.

Doordarshan, NDTV and CNN-IBN are the ones "normal" people watch here for english news. I must say this was mentioned as 4th or 5th news after the Bihar, China and other controversies.

There are thousands of media outlets in India and if you choose the worst, you will definitely see these kind of nonsense and spouting hatred.
