What happened to his batting today? What are the excuses today? 1 out of 100 matches he perform which will end up in a loss

His finishing ability in this format is unparalleled in Pakistan right now.

It's incredibly difficult to consistently score at the death and finish games. But his consistency ratio compared to his peers in this position is really good.
 
Chacha jee is becoming better day by day in a role of fininsher, good for Pakistan team as T20 world cup is just around the corner.
 
is there any way (stats) of checking who Chacha is actually scoring against in this whole PSL9 ie; dots, singles, 4s 6s vs local/International bowlers . Anyone ?

Anything he has tried it’s 🥚 in international level. His stats are just fraud. Every 6/4 he has hit. All are out in international level. He is proper fluke player

He had a brilliant tournament. I hope he can deliver in that role in the World Cup too because that's where we'll need him most.

Yeah he was probably the best lower order batsmen in the entire tournament.

I believe he ended up with around a 65 average at a 193 SR. That’s elite level striking.
 
Iftikhar was the reason why Multan stood any chance. He got them to push to 160 after aalmost being all out for 127.
Its not his fault if the rest of the guys failed.
 
Showed the overhyped Naseem his station. Excellent hitting.
 
Iftikhar's last over smoking put Multan in the race again but in the end, the score proved a bit less for them. what a tournament for Iffi. He is making his case strong for the selection in the squad. Loved how he smashed one of the best bowlers for fun.

i think he can because he is the only hard hitting batter right now on which a team can rely otherwise u tell me what other options u have? keeping in mind he has a utility as a bowler too.

We have better bowlers Thn him. Shadab Imad Salman Agha. Anyways, make sure u come here when he performs like nothing like he did in New Zealand

I'm not denying that he's medicore. But I am asking who would you even replace him with?

Imad is retired now and even if imad comes back, we need imad to replace nawaz and occupy the no 7 slot.

Chacha is usually a no 6, who would you replace him with? We don't really have a better no 6, and in this psl no one emerged besides haider Ali who played a one hit wonder.

Haris could be tried but then who would be our no 5? Shadab vs Chacha would be the case.

We don't have a pool of talent like India does.

Major cap, no offense but it won't happen. Chacha is medicore but Pakistan hasn't invested in a proper finisher so he's all we got.

We should use his salary on some other player! Imad, Salman Agha, azam khan. Time to move on from this Chacha

Don't know if Azam Khan's a suitable replacement, but Salman Agha could be good in the bench.
Stlll not convinced by him in international cricket.

Chacha's the best we have now and if he doesn't perform in the first half of the WC then maybe should be replaced with Salman Agha. While Salman Agha's done well in test and decent in ODI, I'm not 100% convinced in T20's.
 
Ifthikhar Ahmed should follow Imad wasim footstep. Retire from cricket and when he is ready for international Thn he can try out! Right now he is one of the useless player in international.

I have some interesting T20I stats of Iftikhar to share.

First look at his record by year.

Now below is his stat in each batting position.

Strike rate progressively improving the lower he bats the order. Why? I believe it's because he is far more comfortable to in his career now to hit against pacers than spinners. He tends to take his time against spin and he's getting to face pacers in the death overs which he is enjoying.

Look at the mode of dismissals now.

He has been bowled only once. That was against Hasaranga.

vs SPIN
Inns: 33
Runs: 322
Dismissals: 3
Average: 107
Strike Rate: 115
6s: 17
4s: 13

He has only been dismissed thrice against spinners in this format. I suspect it is because he waits for pacers to come in the death generally before he starts to fire.

vs PACE
Inns: 43
Runs: 536
Dismissals: 31
Average: 17.29
Strike Rate: 138.50
6s: 17
4s: 13

Very low average against pace. But it is to be expected given his role to hit shots against pacers in death overs. Strike Rate is good.

Ideally you would want him to finish more games but he is the best option we have right now. In the PSL he showed some consistency with his hitting game as well. But given the stats. It is clear that he is a better bet to play down the order like Asif Ali against pacers than come in the middle order.
 
I can't really see Pak winning anything of note with chacha in the team. Just another passenger in a long line of passengers that's stinking out the team. Has repeatedly failed and yet still getting picked.
 
Apart from 3 or 4 innings. He has hardly done anything noteworthy.


Time is running out for Iftimania. WT20 2024 should be his last assignment given his real age.
 
Umar Akmal can be a better finisher then this old fossil

What happened today?
 
Today is the day for Iftikhar to prove that he is the real finisher for the Pakistan team.
 
Iftikhar scored 23(20) with a six & a four in fact it's 11(18) if we remove his boundaries. Because of this good for nothing best finisher Agha Salman is kept out. His fans are absolutely delusional like Shahid Afridi's fans. He will keep playing for 10 more years without winning a single international game
 
No way we can afford such clown in T20 WC . Single handle loss the game today . utter garbage

Don't drag Lala to this uncle's level. Lala was inconsistent but impactful. Won record no of MoM and a ICC trophy.

Look at his average against Australia and India, look at his strike rates against them. Look at how he dispatches express bowlers like Wahab for boundaries.

You know fine well when uncles play against youngsters they find it difficult to motivate themselves.

Iftimania is needed in NY.

What ???? He couldn’t perform in gt20 on Canadian soil. I doubt he will perform in NY. Tell him to go back home and stay in Domistic or become a ICC umpire

I have seen enough of Iftikhar to know he is not it.
 
Ifti has a real problem on these slow, stopping wickets and that's a concern because there's a few pitches like this in the Caribbean and US. Was reminded of his match losing partnership with Rizwan in the 2022 Asia Cup Final where the RRR climbed and climbed.

He wasn't the sole reason why we lost tonight - we conceded too many extras and lost too many wickets in the PP.

However after consuming so many balls he needed to kick on. PAK were loathe to drop him partly because he also provided a part-time spin option but with Saim now providing that it's not as crucial.
