Imad and Saim in for Azam and Chacha...why does Chacha deserve another World Cup when he never performs in them...Imad has performed (I was there to see him take us over the line against the Afghanis in Leeds) and Saim has age and fitness on his side...

Thats fair, Chacha, Imad and Shadab are fighting for two places between the 3 of them.

Chacha has the potential and strength to go big on these grounds. You need power, strength and range. He has them more than any of our batters but is batting horribly. Hoping he can turn it around.

When did Ifti actually have a good inning every now and then besides that one match against Nepal? I rather invest in a youngster like Saim and Haris than give Chacha another go...btw I was present at the Oval when Ifti made his test debut. He looked in his 30s then and average when he came out to bat as well...said to my brother, "He ain't gonna last"...how wrong I was!
 
He is just a poor man's misbah. Honestly misbah was much better hitter and pressure player.
 
In the world of acrobatic T20 cricket , Pakistan is idolizing a 40+ year old as finisher remember this guy played domestic cricket with Wasim Akram
 
If he can't win the game for Pakistan today, he should retire immediately after this match against India.

Two consecutive games he cannot put away fulltosses. And this is supposedly our premier powerhitter. Yet he was striking at 190+ in PSL garbage league.

For some bizarre reason I've always liked Chacha but I would now pick my 85 year old blind neighbour over this guy any day of the week

His reflexes are shot. When you're in your late 30's the lights can out at any moment for your body. He should have retired after the last WC.

To be fair i have not many people hitting Bumrah's full tosses for six. Especially at that angle. He cramps you for room. So you can't get a free swing.
 
Can’t really blame him for being picked, he was performing well in the PSL…this is just a lesson that you cannot just pick players based on performances on T20 leagues.
 
The next two games should be his farewell games.

I'll get a lot of flack for this but legit he is the best batsman in Pakistan for that position. He has shown it time and time again in domestic....but he comes unstuck in international.

Remove him yeah but there's no big gun waiting to get in either.
 
I dont blame Ifti entirely, its the fools that keep picking him despite continuous zero performances.

He’s finished, if it was 2017 then yeah I’d back him to take us over the finish line…but he’s gone.

He can’t bat, can’t bowl and can’t field. You can’t just keep playing him until he’s 60 years old if that’s when we next find a decent MO batsman.

We think they're fools. In reality, the lobby is doing a stellar job holding each other's hands and enjoying the PCB's joy ride of money and travel.
 
I'm gonna go on a limb here and please don't come at me. Chacha is a horrible player but I don't think it was his fault in the india game today.

Overs 15-20 were impossible to play hence India folded. Pant is what made the difference.

We need to mostly blame rizwan

I knew Imad wasnt going to do anything, that’s the job of the batsmen but wait Baba only brought himself and Fakhar. Even Riz isn’t a proper bat.
 
think it would be a good time to call it quits after this tournament is said and done, and judging by the group situation that should come very soon

So Imad, Shadab and Iftikhar escape criticism completely?

Why can’t we criticize all the batsmen for this mess up?

Why do we have fan-clubs flinging filth at each other, trying to defend mediocrity?

Iftikhar is not being blamed by some people, despite him mis-timing then eventually getting out to FOUR full tosses from Siraj and Bumrah.

And one of them was off a bloody freehit!
 
He can’t win the game with the bat for Pakistan, neither can Imad or Shadab. Sorry excuse for all rounders, from the days of Malik and Razzaq to the current lot. This has been a problem in previous tournaments too, we have never filled these positions with match winners. Tbf we’ve got a crappy middle order too, we are putting in the tuk tuk all rounders to fill the middle order positions too. Too many holes in the team in the batting department.

That's the problem, we already know they can't hit full tosses and can't bat. We seen it countless times, blame really should be put on Baba who selected these turkeys.
 
We lost the match because of Chacha. Chacha scored 5 off 9 balls, and we lost by 6 runs. Even if the other batter had scored 12 runs off 9 balls, we would have won the game.
 
Misbah 2.0 was by far the biggest culprit in this loss.

As mentioned by @Asad T in the match thread, the guy missed all of the 3-4 full tosses he faced, including a free hit.

It’s always same set of deluded fans and Misbah fanboys, who expect a Misbah clone to deliver.

wrong to blame it entirely on chacha. Chacha should have batted at number 5. This would have given him the platform to settle and then attack.

The wicket become very sticky to bat on as the ball became old. Most batters batter poorly today and we should have scored 70-75 in the first 10 overs.

Biggest culprit was your match winner Imad, whose embarrassing waffling vs Axar Patel changed the momentum that India rode right until the end.

That was the turning point of the match as rightly pointed out by Steve Smith on air.

The Imad Wasim drama ended today. He is cooked for life and so are his fans like you.

Iftikhar was already exposed before this game. Everyone knew he is crap. Today was nothing new, but it was important to for Imad to get exposed so that his drama comes to an end.

Ifty and Shadab should have never played for Pakistan after their disastrous performance in the ODI WC in India. Big PCB’s favorite hobby is recycling, so they persisted with certified duds and we keep getting the same old result.
