True, which is surreal. I mean who averages close to 60 after playing 200+ ODI games...He reached the mark with avg of 59+.that's ridiculous..
The 2nd greatest ODI batsman of all time behind Sir Viv. One outstanding WC and he is undisputed GOAT.
Wow! Outstanding
The day Babar gets to 10k runs would be declared as a public holiday in Pakistan. This is an outstanding achievement and only the best ever reach this club
Unfortunately, "sir' viv is not fit to be in the same post code as Kohli. Kohli hasn't had the luxury of feasting on Madan lal, roger binny, and the assorted trundlers england put in the park.
Yeah, no. Play enough ODIs and a good enough bat would get there. Exhibit 1: Jayawardene.
Sachin started opening only after 112 matches. He was batting at 5 before. So this does not tell the whole story.
FUN FACT
Kohli has now scored more ODI hundreds since the start of 2016 (13) than any England batsman has managed ever (Trescothick and Root with 12).
From Cricinfo,
Kohli got from 9k to 10k ODI runs in just 11 innings!
So bhaijaan is a convert now?Insane numbers.
That’s the thing about great players. They are game changers. They don’t just beat records they destroy them.
So bhaijaan is a convert now?
Not that it matters much now..but...Sachin's opening first time in ODI was in his 79th match.

You are ignorant about the history of the game, as they say ignorance is bliss. Carry on.

Not everything written in cricket history books is a statement of fact.
I find this part by that poster unacceptably biased "unfortunately, "sir' viv is not fit to be in the same post code as Kohli. "
Then argue with facts .... not through ad-hominem.
I don't have time to write long posts now.

Sir Viv scored when it mattered the most.

Sachin as an opener was somewhat near. Till January 2014 he played 214 innings as opener and scored 10075 runs.
Sachin played 6 matches as no. 3 & flopped
Virat played 6 matches as opener & flopped
Lol when did I twist anything. Sachin played more matches as lower order bat than Kohli on 5th & 6th position that too in 1990-95 which was a different era compared to today. May be played only 10-11 matches with two new ball rule (at 38) and still a better bat in ICC tournaments and finals. You can twist the 'position' and stats all you want. Doesn't change the fact he took longer and wasn't as impactful as Kohli.

what did Sachin do in any ICC finals, he won one ICC world where Kohli was the one along wih Gambhir set that chase up.Kohli was highest scorer in CT finals which India won.Stop giving this nonsense that tendulkar was better.
Looks like you can't read properly. I said ICC tournaments and finals. Sachin has a superior average in ICC tournaments, in WC, has 3 half centuries in knockout games in WC. By finals I meant all tournament finals. Sachin has 6 centuries in finals of different tournaments much more half centuries and averages 55
He will go down as one of the greatest batsmen to have lived the game.
