[PICTURES] Virat Kohli & India throw a wobbly.....

`.JPG

Seems like India not happy with play resuming too early after rain and then not happy when players went off again - Kohli had a word with the match referee (animated discussion)

India desperate to win but Kohli needs to watch his steps carefully

Bumrah's last over was brilliant. He should be upset as they could've gotten a wicket.

Too bad for Kohli srini isnt in charge anymore

Two balls before the play was stopped, this is what the commentary guy had to say
"The light looks quite terrible right now."

Not sure when Kohli will start acting his age and post, I guess he is a graduate from the Trump school of 'Man Child Theatrics'

Actually if you had watched the proceedings you wouldn't have posted this. What was the need to play so soon after the thunderstorm? Light was already bad! Floodlights were on, and just when batsmen complained, they walked off.....

That's the point. What's the point of even starting on a wet outfield when light was already bad?

Sorry somethings come with home team advantage. India can't have it all their way specially when they are playing away. Man up and stop crying. You are about to go two down in the series.

They expect the same conditions (in everyway possible), maybe the next home series for SA should be moved to India as well!

Are you saying that running to the match referee's cabin to have play resume on a whim is acceptable in India?

On another note, have you even watched a single ball of this series, as one of the posters alluded to above?

Let's look at the bigger picture here. Is this going to cost the match officials an IPL job?! ;-)

he is one of those anti India all the time posters not to be taken seriously.

india will feel unlucky after that bumrah over, but bumrah can steal wreak havoc tomorrow

He's passionate and is giving his all in this series. Nobody can deny his efforts, passion and determination.

The problem for Virat is he is prone to poor decisions, first his selection and now risking a fine by ranting at the match referee. SA were building a partnership, it was good for India it ended early today, he should appreciate this.

Posters don't even know any thing and start speculating and hands a character certificate. :stokes

Only a matter of time before someone responds to a punch with a punch. Kohli behaves as if he is the only tough guy on the field and ground.

Indian posters and some wannabe Indians (from Pak) attacking me instead of the chawal like behaving captain who thinks everyone owes him something just because he knows how to bat!

There is a reason fans rate people like Dravid, Gavaskar etc. higher but that word might not be in his vocabulary i.e. Humility!

Anderson exposed him like a school boy in England. Kohli inspite of his batting class is still a one dimensional batsman who likes to attack from the get go and that was a huge problem for him against the dukes ball in England.

From when did going to the match referee and telling him your views about match situation is a illegal or unethical. It is within the rights of the captain or manager or coach of a team to approach the match referee if they want to discuss a issue.

Whining by some pp posters will not change that rule neither will it change the fact that Kohli is one of the best batsmen.

As a captain, Gavaskar once ordered his opening batting partner, Chetan Chauhan, to stage a walkout, after he (Gavaskar) was given wrongly out by a biased Aussie umpire. A crisis of sorts was averted when the Indian manager intervened and prevented Chauhan from leaving the field. Gavaskar later (much much later!) said that he regretted his behavior!

Dravid was once reported (and I think even fined) for tampering with the ball using lozenge candies.

#justsayin'

Cricketers in general aren't exactly the second coming on Mahatma Gandhi or Swami Vivekanand. They get paid to perform on the field, not be the models for human behavior.

It seems that you have not only not seen a single delivery in this series, but you don't know much about Sunil Gavaskar either.

Gavaskar's behavior was not because of umpire's decision. It was because Lilee told something and Gavaskar got angry.
This is well documented.
Not sure about Dravid incident - only remember it vaguely.

The play shouldn't have started if the outfield was wet. This not only makes it tough for the spinner to hold the ball but it also doesn't allow the team to maintain the ball for reverse swing later on. Virat being upset was reasonable to an extent. But he and the team has to move on from that. Get a 4th inning target below 225.

It was all of the above. Lillee was sledging him non-stop, but so were the other Aussies. The guys in the slips would taunt him on personal level. One example that Sunny quotes - "Hey Sunny, you know what so-and-so is doing to your wife when you're batting here?" Disgusting stuff like this, but standard Aussie practice as we all know.

Umpiring was terrible throughout the series. Again, that was always the case -- Aus had the second worst umpires in the world those days, after you-know-who.

When Sunny was wrongly given out one more time, he lost his mind. I'm sure Lillee gave him a send-off as well.

India captain Virat Kohli has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee and received one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third day’s play in the second Test against South Africa at Centurion on Monday.

Kohli was found to have breached Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game.”

Monday’s incident happened in the 25th over of South Africa’s second innings when Kohli continued to complain to umpire Michael Gough about the ball being affected by a damp outfield following a rain delay, before throwing the ball into the ground in an aggressive manner.

After the day’s play, Kohli pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Chris Broad of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees and, as such, there was no need for a formal hearing.

The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Michael Gough and Paul Reiffel, third umpire Richard Kettleborough and fourth umpire Allahudien Palekar.

Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points.

Guess he pushed his luck and should learn a lesson. He cannot do that as a captain.

Should have a dseignated whilner in team for such projects.

As long as he is performing and helping India win I could care less about his childish antics.. He got fined for his antics so let’s move on now..

This guy's ego is off the charts. Struts around like he is unarguably the greatest cricketer the world has ever seen. What an embarrassment in the name of a captain of a cricket team.

This.We dont need choir boys or Gandhis in sports. We need colourful characters like Kohli to make the game interesting and spicy. And as long as he is winning games,I give two hoots to what he says or does on the field.

Tell that to the ICC who fined him LOL

BCCI unpaid Lawyer should have his face red now!

{Pictures Virat Kohli} As you sow, so shall you reap

May be some of posters will find it funny or useless thread.

2 beautiful moment which i witnessed today during Sa and India match.

First when Shami took wicket of Dean Elgar, the AGGRESSIVE captain Virat Kohli ran from the other side to the pitch and showed childish antics at the face of Dean Elgar, Elgar walked solemnly.

But just some minutes before when Ngidi took wicket of Virat Kohli, Kohli couldn't absorb his celebrations and started bad mouthing him :)) (Although Ngidi celebrations were not directed towards him :)))

No doubt dude is a world class ODI player and as a captain he needs to learn to digest the reaction of his action

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.. what an embarrassment in the name of a team's captain.

This behavior was kinda acceptable when Kohli was a young boy on the scene.... not when he is the captain of the number one ranked side. I'm glad the Saffers gave him a proper send-off.

This kind of behavior is NEVER acceptable. Sreesanth was blasted from all corners for his embarrassing antics irrespective of his age. Kohli is taking that to a whole new level and he's the captain of the team for heaven's sake. Shambolic stuff. Only because this guy is revered as a God in India does this kind of behavior is swept under the carpet of "aggression" and "intent".

Awkward moment for Joshila sahab. People should stop rubbing it in, he is just doing his duty of defending anything Indian.

Man, come to terms or get the hell lost. Commentator said it was an unplayable delivery by all means.. !

That’s your opinion I think Cricket especially test matches are so boring half of the time that this sort of behaviour is fine and adds fun as a viewer.. You might not like it but I enjoy this as a viewer..
And not just kohli pollard, bravo, Shane warne, Mcgrath etc all the people who sledged or added spice to the game on field are fun..

Cricket fans need to relax and take it as a sport/game and move on.

And I am glad the proteas gave him a mouthful as well I enjoy such tussles as a viewer who cares if he is captain or not, IMO cricket needs more such characters to spice up the game.. I enjoyed Aus/India series as well where there was lot of banter between Aussies and Indians.. Such stuff adds fun as a viewer maybe you don’t like it but a lot of viewers do enjoy it as well.. As long as series is competitive trash talking only increase the excitement.

Indian fans need to grow some conscience besides the brain washing they get from their media and accept everything the way it looks to everyone not how it is explained to them by the phantics in Indian media and others

Can understand Kohli's frustration. They are on the brink of losing the series after their media was telling us some weeks back how they'll be winning it!:shadab I knew they wouldn't do it in the RSA, they are still very much dependent on Kohli that there is n doubt about. He is half their batting strength.

Kohli is a brilliant player- one of the best i have seen and love his desire and passion but sometimes his behaviour verges on bratishness.

At times Kohli needs to calm down. I think his anger Nigidi was due to him being dismissed.

Lol at people saying he needs to calm down. The guy has now played for 10 years. He knows what he is doing and is very deliberate about it, he thinks people will let him get away with it under the pretext of he is a super star and what not. South African's are going to have a field day against him as this tour goes on as SA is a tough place to play and tour.

Yes, he was angry at the fact that wet outfield had deteriorated ball condition and stopped having favor for India who were going to bowl on sunny day next day. Umpires could have evaluated outfield properly as it was still pretty wet. Same ball was used the next day in the morning where it could have provided reverse swing to bowlers.

Yes he was angry. And he paid the penalty.

Character kaha lose kiya?
