South Africa (RSA 408) inflict a painful Innings and 32 runs defeat over India (245 & 131) in the 1st Test

You can win matches in SENA only if you match their bowling strengths! At the moment India doesn't have it... India as a cricketing team is on decline... Best time for other teams to beat even at home (if they plan properly....)

the way Jansen batted SAF can afford to play him as the 5th bowling option as they did prior to this Test .

It’s Bumrah and fillers. Ashwin and spinners are rendered useless there.

Shami would have made a huge difference here. Choosing Prasidh and Thakur pretty much was the nail in the coffin for the Indians before the game started.

Reaching World Cup Finals was the peak... Losing it hurt them (key players like Rohit, Bumrah, etc.) If they had won it they would continued the peak for some time and then declined, but now it is steep fall....

It was Bumrah and Shami that were moving the ball in WC.
Shami is injured. So only boom boom left.

In tests, it has been on transition from a while now.

Gill and Iyer have failed to cement their place while Rahul after such a long run and string of failures has finally cemented his spot. They are missing Pant here and probably Jadeja's batting too, these two alongwith Rohit were carrying this batting in last two years.

Indian bowling let them down big time by conceding a mountain of lead. They were dusted in the 1st innings itself.
 
SA conditions will always be too foreign to the Indian team, it's a unique combination of bounce and swing.

Klrahul run quota for the next 10 innings is done. He made a century 1st innings and will be trash in the next 9. Loser mentality mental midget. Unless ind get rid of mental midgets they wouldn't be able to win big events

Following continuous medical assessments, it was determined that there was too much of a risk of aggravating his left hamstring injury had he gone out to bat at this stage of the game 🏏 🇿🇦

The medical team are managing him to give him the best chance to bat should he be required in the 4th innings.

Always hope when you have Virat Kohli, at least for the series anyway.

I won't pity you because I have to contend with with Imam and Babar batting like cowards.
 
I hope Kohli scores his hundred but that was poor. Bumrah isn't so quick and was never gonna make it back for the second.
 
I expected South Africa to dominate. This result doesn't surprise me.

Indian team have declined in Test.

Rahul Dravid is a very poor coach and it shows everywhere.
 
Huge defeat, a lot was said about india breaching their final frontier but they've been humbled inside 3 days
May well need a bowling rethink, shardul and krishna might be in the firing line
 
South Africa is to India what Australia is to Pakistan.
India seemingly can't win a test series there even if their lives depended on it.

And someone in this forum was saying that 220 was enough for the first innings. Please put up your hands and show us who you are. Let the world see and laugh.
 
Looking through this South African line-up, it’s really a new look squad.

Surprised they managed to destroy India like this. Indian batters really struggle with lateral movement.
