Lazy misfield where he dived over the ball resulting in an extra run and then a wild throw resulting a missed run out chance and giving Sri Lanka 4 extra runs.

Don't know why he came on as sub fielder. Isn't Usman meant to be a quality fielder?

Well it’s quite stupid to have your fast bowler as a sub fielder..

Seems like he can't do anything right these days. Why would the fast bowler be a sub fielder? It should have been Usman Salahuddin or maybe Asghar as I've heard they are decent fielders.

Its sums up his game tbh

Nowadays whether its bowling batting or fielding everything seems to be wild and thoughtless

They must have brought him in as a fielder because of that fluke catch against windies earlier this yeah :))

typical pakistani mentality, just take a look at afridi after his debut hundred, wahab after wattos spell, etc, you'll keep getting too many chances for 1 fluke performance.

Whoever is the best fielders out of the players who aren't playing should have been the substitute. Instead we just pick the most senior player.

Just seems to be going downhill in every facet of the game.

He needs to be careful or he will be history when it comes to international cricket.

Lazy attitude and a total lack of improvement.

His entire attitude towards the game sucks. Seems like the way he even goes about walking in the field as if he's a legend having some 500 wickets to his name or something.

He should not even be with the team let alone being on a cricket field until he shows he's willing to work on his lazy attitude.

Can you tell who was the 12th player from Pakistan? AFAIK 12th man also get the match fees and it is absolutely pathetic to include Wahab Riaz a 12th man over other youngsters...

Are we gonna pick on every small thing? I don't think we should judge players for what they do as sub fielders. Unless they do mistakes over and over again. This almost sounded like you want to make everyone think he's terrible by picking out two fielding mistakes as a sub fielder. Anyhow fast bowlers shouldn't even be sent to sub in for a fielder. if he subbed in for a fast bowler that is more understandable. Not saying he's good I honestly think he's regressed like everyone thinks but I don't think there's a point picking out mistakes like these especially when he isn't even in the actual XI.

They can name a designated 12th man but the others can come on the field as sub fielders.

To be fair, he has been a decent fielder for Pakistan in the past.

That he is even making it into a Test match as a substitute is disgraceful. Wahab Riaz is, in my opinion, thw single biggest reason Pakistan never managed to stay number 1 at any format of the game. He is the greatest cause of Pakistan's failures.

Needs to comeback in place of Mohammad Amir in the next game, the only guy who knows and has gotten out Sangakarra multiple times when he was the thorn in the side for long periods of the game... He has a good record against Srilanka, and will effective on these dead wickets. Hassan and Abbas should share the new ball

He's going through a decline now but lets cut the guy some slack. He has bowled some phenomenal spells in difficult sub continent conditions under Misbah's captaincy. Also, he was over used for years even though he was the fastest bowler in the team. Obviously his body will physically and mentally take its toll and this decline is basically the reason for this. IMO he must retire from one of the three formats if he wishes to prolong his career

Amir got Sangakkara out twice in his debut test.

I do not want to name any particular player, few of them visited Florida not to long ago for CPL. I was talking to guys who were taking them around, it was obviously that these guys do not know anything about physical fitness or working out. Most of them seem "slim and fit" not due to their diet or physical fitness, they're just naturally slim. In case of Wahab, he doesn't have muscles at all, he seems very weak in person. They would just about eat anything, no proper diet or discipline.

Isn't he amongst the fittest players in the team? :13:

Yes his ODI bowling is rubbish but his Test form is still good so I would have him in the Test team.

I would not look too much into a few misfields as a sub fielder.

I'd take him over Amir anyday on a flat road in a Test Match... atleast he can bend his back despite being the older of the two

That's fine.

Just mentioning Amir got Sangakkara out so that's not a differentiating factor.

Wahab is actually a solid bowler in the UAE though.
