easily fixed... dont throw away the thing that is difficult to achieve for the sake of something that can easily be fixed.
 
it's the pace at which Misbah bats which I have an issue with...in Semi-Final it was just a shocker...he had no intentions of at least rotating the strike...and look at him today, going along much better compared to that nightmare...so I ask AGAIN where was the INTENT in Semi-Final???????????????????? :69:
 
misbah is good in setting up targets but during chase misbah can cause cancer to the whole team.
 
Problem with Misbah is it is a pre-meditated shot. Every single time.

Pre-meditated block
Pre-meditated hoick
Pre-meditated slog
Pre-meditated sweep
 
Asad Shafiq is very promising, he has been consistent since he has step foot in this ODI side for Pakistan.

Wickets were falling around him... he had to consolidate... just did it for a bit too long...

A mistake... not a disaster...

The disaster was Hafeez losing a wicket with a brain fart...

And the 25 drops off Tendu!
 
Why don't people relax..? Good partnership and if we were to lose wickets then you guys would crucify them..Sheesh fans can be so hypocritical.
 
should take the batting PP now...Misbah & Shafiq are set...finish this match off man...don't let WI have any hope...but not gona happen :facepalm:

Time to show his masterclass in the different Defensive Play!

IF Umar Akmal was batting... which he should have been...

He should have come in ahead of Mr Tuk Tuk.
 
Holding basically saying Sammy's selection messes with the whole team balance lol

wickets were falling around him because he was 2 busy putting pressure on his partners by blocking and having no intentions of milking the 1s and 2s!!! case in point, Umar had 2 take a few risks...
 
Misbah blocks again.

They must install a mirror right in front of Misbah to make him realize he's not playing in whites.

I slightly disagree....

I agree he should have milked a touch more...

BUT

I think we needed to consolidate as we had to save wickets...

Like I said the plan was a right one... just not executed as well as it should have been.

Umar Akmal would need to take a certain amount of risk anyway... thats how he plays...

You cant have everyone taking the same amount of risk.
 
see how Misbah is milking the 1s and 2s today...this is what we needed in Semi-Final and he failed to do it big time...what's the point now sigh

But you need to blame Hafeezs brain fart and the drops off Tendu much more than Misbahs innings...
 
Good safe ending. Glad they called up Misbah and he and shafeeq are rotating the strike. Just saw the thread with some dumb poster claiming that Asad and Misbah should be removed from the team =___= Guess some people will never realize that this isn't 20-20 cricket.

More than anyone else, Misbah and YK are to blame for batting like school kids.

I do agree that Hafeez got out to a horrible shot BUT he had given us a decent start and we were still very much in control until YK and Misbah decided to play an unforgettable innings.
 
If misbah has any love for Pakistan, he should retire from cricket. We now have too many Tuks Tuks.

Asad shafique is the future of our middle order time for misbah to go

Yes... but if we had lost another wicket at that time it was curtains....

ie after we were 4 down! and then 5 down.
 
Here is an idea...

Take the Powerplay and knock off these runs in the next 5-6 overs.

This is Pakistan though

They are allergic to the Powerplay until the Umpires decide to take it for them!

How did the 4-5 wickets fall? Here's the reason: YK and Misbah refused to score runs or rotate strike and Umar and Asad - both well set - got out attempting to up the scoring rate.

Who dropped Tendu? Misbah and YK.

Go figure how them both were not responsible for that loss.

Securing one end does not mean that you should start defending anything and everything bowled at you!

Nobody was asking him to go berserk. All we wanted from him was ones and twos. With his ultra-defensive batting, he was increasing the pressure on the batsman at the other end. That's what happened with Umar Akmal too.
