Don't shift goal post - Shoaib had a series average of 37, Malik 29 & Rambo Raja 25.

If you go by career, YK, Misbah, Yasir walks in that team. If you go by contemporary performance, probably Amir, Asad as well - in any case YK & Azhar always.

I decided to post here, for your nauseating hate for Misbah & YK - which ended in Ramiz & Ijaj being picked over them. Icing on the cake was to discard Azhar .......................

Just checked Shoaib only came good in the 3rd test in Barbados where he scored a couple of 50s. Other than that he had an average series.

Pakistan could have won the test had it not been for some dubious umpiring decisions.

1987-88 was a low-scoring series because of the quality of the bowling. Any batting average over 30 on either side was sensational.

And I don't "hate" Younis Khan. On another thread I today listed him as my all-time favourite Pakistan batsman. I just think that he is a shadow of his former self.

It's true that I have no respect for Misbah. I think that he is a selfish cricket fanatic who is inferior to several younger batsmen whose careers he has obstructed. Plus I have another issue which I once tried to explain, but got moderated for.

Azhar has had 1.5 excellent top level series: with zero lateral movement in Australia and after a terrible first two Tests in England.

I only criticised the 2017 Younis Khan, aged 43. I have no problem with him as a younger man, but he is no miles past it.

I genuinely think Ijaz Ahmed was a far, far better Batsman than Misbah. Not even close. I also think Rameez was better than Shehzad.
