What about an opening combination of Babar/Kami [MENTION=79064]MMHS[/MENTION] it could work imo, I know am not supposed to be commenting so prematurely but shehzad doesn't seem like changing his style of play

Please leave Babar at 3.
 
Babar's best asset is his balance, very few PAK player can shift body weight so smoothly in putt shots.
 
Why does whenever Kami gets out, he walks back as if he's about to cry ?????

:))) Why didn't I think of that; if am honest, am pretty sure Hafeez has walked out with such a mindset before every innings, his dismissals don't seem to affect the self evaluation of himself
 
If Babar runs out Hafeez I would recommend him for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz
 
the more I see Babar playing more I like him, he is very pleasant bat to eyes !!

yes, i agree, i thought we had a decent lineup going with babar at 3 and sarfraz at 4, and even malik at 5 who had been very good since come back and these 3 know how to play middle overs well. the return of hafeez has been the biggest problem to our line-up, even playing asghar in place of him would be better.

I'll take a left hander as opener. Both openers gone today touching leg side wides, and these things will keep happening as long as there is no diversity is batting order. Not sure about Babar to open, but never Kam/Babar. I'll pick Babar/Haris or Babar/Talat at opener or replace Babar with Kam - but never 2 right handers. More or less, PAK is the weakest batting line up among top 9 teams against out-swing/Leg cutter and that's fed hopelessly by picking 1-4 right handed batsmen. It's so easy to bowl with 6-3 field & constantly keeping it at same channel. A better batting intelligent team would have put 2 lefties in top 4 to counter that away going threat. You don't expect that from Basit Ali standard ..........

Exactly. If Talat had played more games in the PSL, I'm sure he would have been selected in the LO squad.

I'm sure Waqar will be telling us all about all the improvements Pakistan team needs to make as if he was innocently sitting and drinking lassi for 4 out of the last 6 years and never had the chance to make any changes.
 
Ahmed Shehzad in 1st two games: 36.1 at 72.3
Kamran Akmal in 1st two games: 34.4 at 91.3

Easy to see who has done better so far. :kakmal

We actually chased 280+ against England bowling with the said combo of Babar at 3, Sarfraz 4, Malik 5. I don't know why we have mess with this combo. Inzimam and MA appear to be same old wine in new bottle
 
Give akmal 3 chances against nepal, hong kong or PNG, he would even fail against them...
 
Won't mind if Pakistan gets banned from playing cricket in order to preserve the quality of the game.
