Malik has played more dots but never given a chance to the spinners to find out his weakness unlike Hafeez who got lucky many many times

Hafeez was once our best all-rounder until after the world cup, when he lost his form....Malik never palyed tests and the last time he played, he was the 2nd highest wicket taker after Yasir shah...Recently, we've not played enough matches against the top sides but all of the one's we've won, Malik has always played a role
 
This chase has been Hawkeye's worst nightmare. Only reprieve is Shehzad's failure.
 
A lot of long-term damage is being inflicted out there. We are not winning, we are losing.
 
Nature hasn't bestowed Hafeez with much on the cricket field, but for an immense gift of timing.

Well any change in team will be after CT so we have to sit back and enjoy the show till then.

The ability to time a cricket ball or to make a timely career extending innings?

No change. Hafeez needs one 50+ score in the CT to return to England in 2019 for the WC.
 
The overall value of winning this game is huge looking at wc qualifications so it will do wonders to media PR of this pair.
 
About time we got some favorable decisions on Caribbean soil. Hope Wasim and Jimmy Adams are watching.
 
Its lesson for WI, if they had any sense left, they would not make low and slow wickets for test, otherwise our two 40 years old would toil them in Sun for whole month, but I am sure they will not learn much from this torture ;-)
 
I think, it's clear spin based attack won't work much against PAK. This WI spin attack is probably best in ODI world & they are simply out classed on a turner. This is after 3/38.

Unfortunately, Inzi'll carry same thought to UK in early summer........

No I think Hafeez and Malik have their careers on their edges so CT failure means they might sit out for at least a year as Inzi will feel the heat of media after early CT exit.

Quite enjoyable to see your bipolar nature on this thread. I guess extremism has trickled into cricket as well eh , always on extreme ends of spectrum - Either hate a player and want him to fail and get out of the team forever or start supporting him once he crosses 30..

He has oft been wrongly criticized. He deserved a place in the team between 2010-2014 but we are well beyond that point now. It is time to move on, and every run that he makes now is harmful in the long run.
 
Inzy was extremely lucky to have Woolmer as coach whilsthe was captain.. also lucky to have YK as vice captain in the field..

Otherwise, from what we've seen so far his selectorial role is no different to the Haroon Rashids of Pakistan Cricket

Inzi'll drop couple of young players if so. PAK journalists are biggest lobby for senior players & they'll explain that to mass people....
 
Shoaib Malik being one of the best players of spin in the world (in LOIs) is the reason why I rate this era so lowly. There are only a few players who can actually play spin as opposed to the plethora of players in the early noughties and whatnot.

Even the Asian giants (and dwarfs) are pretty mediocre.

Unless Malik remains NO in a win, MoHa is MoM. If Malik doesn't, someone from WI might win that ........
 
Hafeez out in the nervous 80's. He will have more hundreds than Inzamam, but he could have challenged Saeed Anwar's tally with better 80-100 conversion rate.

I feel the same way and would include Akmal, Shezhad and possibly Malik in that too...

Problem is that nothing is changing in Pakistan Cricket.. same old selections, not foresight... no investment in youth.

So we have two choices.

Get behind these TTF's or just turn the TV off.

So it's like we're stuck between a rock and a hard place
 
Sarfraz is good but amongst the ugliest batsmen in 150 years of cricket.
