West Indies v Pakistan | 3rd ODI | Providence | April 11, 2017 | Pakistan Innings

Just checked the scorecard after the innings break and we're 16/2 both openers gone! Glad they both failed.

Babar though seems to be doing good hope he can get a hundred.

If he gets a 100 here, it will be his best 100 till date.
 
What infuriates me is inzi's thinking about how shehzad deserved to be selected for all three formats.
 
I guess Shan Masood will be opening come the 1st test now lol Shehzad is terrible

Kamran and Shehzad must not be allowed back into the national.

Indeed. But this pitch is the toughest one of the entire series. Hopefully PP will not label Babar Azam as a once in a blue moon player or something like that if he fails because this pitch is extremely hard to bat on.

I think (hope not) we might lose the series regardless. If one of these batsmen falls right now, a collapse will be on the cards. And thus, I would much rather have Hafeez fail miserably so he isn't there when we play India.
 
Sarfaraz does not even appear to have his pads on.

So frustrating. This batting order is a joke. We deserve to lose today, that's it.
 
Hafeez is a but unsettled by holder. He should avoid this: otherwise he will miss out on a matchwinnig 60 strike rate half century.

I don't want the pair of them, they're simply not international standard.

I'd rather promote Babar up to open just for this series and put Usman Salahuddin at 3 or 6.
 
Hafeez's form is consistent in this series: he has mastered the edge.

That would be extremely unfair but I think he'll do well he's a good player.
 
Reflecting on what inzi said the other day 'we must give kamran enough chances to succeed'
Does that mean he's on the CT bus?

I think you have far higher regard for Inzi than I do. No way in a million years Inzi is selecting a CT side with 3 or 4 youngsters in the top order. These same Shehzad, Kamraan and Hafeez will play doesn't matter how badly they flop here. So it is better if these TTFs atleast contribute to the team's cause before getting out. 2 off them did nothing, hopefully Hafeez does something. Otherwise it is curtains.

i think hafeez will be back as opener with Fakhar joining him as another opener...Or someone who does well in the one day cup.........

If you're absolutely certain of their selection, then indeed, I would want them to do well too and have a little confidence to go with it.

But I'm hoping against hope Hafeez is dropped. I would much rather have someone like Sohaib Maqsood despite the fact that he's not good either. But at least he wont suck the life out of the game even if he doesn't perform.

CT is a gone cause, but if it were upto me this is the side I would select.

what would you rather have,
a) better performance in CT and World Cup with a WI ODI series loss
OR
b) WI ODI series win, but poor performance in CT and World Cup.

if you would rather have A then in long-run i'm with @Pete_Rose here. a loss here may finally mean they'll kick out shehzad, akmal, hafeez. a win here and they'll be playing CT and WC.

The classical hafeez backfoot defense: both feet facing the bowler, standing tippy toe, unbalanced, defending with bat out of line of sight.
