Well showers are expected throughout the afternoon so which ever team is stuck batting in those conditions is going to suffer. It is never good to stop and start while batting.

I hope Pak get a more cacurate weather forecast because if the showers are late in the day, they should bat first. If they arrive earlier, let the Windies deal with it.

I fully expect our management to muck it up as usual

We are horrible in planning for such situations and quite frankly only divine intervention might be able to save us from getting the short end of the stick.....

Ya Allah Madad !!

LOOSE LOOSE situation for HAFEEZ and MALIK. If they dont perform they are timid characters and if they performed what special they played against worst westindian side.

In any case, I want hafeez to be out because he is not good for Pak as far as future is concerned

lol can't argue there

then again, mickey is supposed to be world class so its time for him to prove the critics wrong

the toss is going to be VERY important here

West Indies have brought in Permaul for Alzarri Joseph - Gabriel has been passed fit.

So we are chasing :danish

Need to restrict them to 200 of less otherwise this game is gone

200 don't be overly pessimistic, anything under 250 and we should chase it without any fuss IA.

Cricinfo says we have qualified for the WC regardless of the outcome of today's game

i hope we get a full game. rain very likely to play spoil sport. really ugly forecast whole day

Even though its the west indies, Pakistan are renowned chokers when it comes (a) series finals and (b) chasing.

For Pakistan's sake it would good that they show their true colors when batting.

So Sarfraz still selected tested and tried failures while the newbies stayed on the bench  How can this be justified?

maybe he was hoping they would fail, giving him a chance to try youngsters without controversy

If we showed our true colors we will be all out for 100.

It is Babar or bust. If Babar fails the game is pretty much over.

A win today and Pakistan will qualify directly for the World cup

According to the cricinfo preview of todays game, regardless of whether we win or lose today, we will make the 8th qualifying place for the World Cup.

Cricinfo says we have qualified for the WC regardless of the outcome of today's game

Why are so many people not reading it carefully, it says regardless of the outcome of today's game Pakistan will remain 8th at the end of the series and not the cut off date, anyone can still miss the direct qualification to World Cup 2019.

The cut off is all the way in Sept. iirc... There is plenty of cricket to be played between now and then.

Oh I see, I didnt notice that. Thanks

When is the cutoff date?

Don't know why WICB had to have all three matches at the same venue.

Weather has delayed the start of the match.

what are west indies thinking 3 spinners against pakistan on rainy day!

Its a brain fade for WI, rain expected, match will be curtailed off and they chose to bat first. Great chance for Pakistan to wrap things quickly

two fielders diving and they still cant stop it. Pakistan fielding in a nutshell

junaid is almost worse than wahab if thats possible. how does a guy who has played no real competitive cricket come in rusty and unpracticed?

i would feel very good if west indies sets pakistan a target of 300 (rain permitting)

Lazy, basically. Taking time to warm up rather than being focused from ball one.

Junaid Khan needs to be more consistent with his line and length... this is wayward bowling

Amir bowling round the wicket from the 2nd over, what a waste of the new ball..

This guy is a negative line and length bowler... loves conserving runs.

Innzi would love him as a bowler

Pakistan will not be able to handle the pressure of chasing in a decider game. Windies to take this 2-1

West Indies batting seem to be playing cautiously given the collapse they had in the last match. Nothing special from Junaid for bowling an economical over.

am I the only one who wants to rip my ears out when Basit khan is commentating? he has to have the all time global worst commentating voice in the history of the game. I'm almost at the point of preferring Shastri.

Shot.. I have a feeling Walton will turn out to be the best bat from WI in the coming years despite the fact that he's had a not-so-good series.

In my opinion, Aamir's run up and delivery are not in sync. That is why when he reaches his delivery stride he basically pounds the ball in at pace and in a tight line. His delivery stride seems separate from him run-up. Complicated to explain

Run rate does not matter here, if WI kept Wickets, they double the score after 30 overs easily. and when last time Pakistan won a series decider ?
