West Indies Vs Australia | 3rd test | Barbados | 12/06/2008 - 14/06/2008

The locals are not happy with Chanderpauls decision making regarding taking singles.

taking a single second ball is not a good thing when you have a tailender playing his second test.

and Benn takes a single last ball to face the next over

Why do we persevere with this muppethead, seriously?!?!? :po:

48.3 Johnson to Taylor, no run, and that's dropped! Great bowling from Johnson, follows the bouncer with one angled across Taylor, who edges a straightforward chance to Katich at first slip. Not the first one he's put down in that spot this series

50.4 Johnson to Benn, no run, dropped! Katich again! Benn edges a simple chance to Katich at first slip and he just can't hold onto them. Really simple stuff, the Australians are missing Hayden in that spot

Make him field at fine leg FFS. :12:

One? One??

Mate you don't know how painful it's been for us Ozzies having to put up with Krapich in the side after he fluked his maiden ton against India in 2004!

Seriously, does most of the Aussie fans hold him in such view as yours ?

Almost a wonder catch by the keeper down the leg side, ball just pops out in mid air!

Lee bowls a bouncer to Edwards
next ball Haddin drops a difficult chance on leg side
Wi 208-9 - trail by 43

Come on Brett! SIX SHORT BALLS an over pls!

Gone, Windies all out for 216.
Johnson gets another cheap wicket, Edwards caught in the slips by Punter!

This cheap wickets helps him beat his BB figured (top 3 all against India)

Edwards out ct by Ponting at 2nd slip off Johnson. lucky for him that it didn't go to 1st slip incase Katich is still there
last 6 wickets gone for 48 runs
WI 216 all out

Johnson has gone from 0-31 to 4-41

Noooo!!

That hack Johnson managed to fluke his fourth wicket, denying Brett the chance to break some of Castro's ribs... :(

I wonder how many tailender wickets Johnson has? He always gets pasted around but cleans up the tail to end up with ridiculously inflated bowling figures.

One of the most undeserved 4 wicket hauls, no decent batsman would get out on those deliveries.

Katich 15 - Jaques 13
Aus 35-0 after 14 overs - lead of 70 runs
end of 2nd day. should be a 9:30 am start tomorrow

Aussies in box seat here and anything over 250 lead and i think Aussies will win game.

Credit to Johnson, bowled the first real consistently threatening spell i've seen him bowl in tests. aka actually making the batsman play balls they're not comfortable with more than once on over. Has he finally learnt this at age 26/7? Bit slow on the uptak midge.

Slips catching was again joke. Simon Krapich, why are you alive? Go burden someone else with your existence.

Congrats Aussies on your inevitable 2-0 series win.

Oh and good to see Gayle make his big statements and then follow it up with no runs as usual :14:

Chanderpaul should bat at three. It's nonesense he should be stranded not out so often.

This one does, he is a hack of the highest order who needs to be banished from the team permanently. :12:

what is nathan hauritz upto these days?
remember him from 04-05 tour. Bowled quite well actually, not as bad as macgill.

Horrowitz is struggling to get a domestic game....no chance of a call up at this stage. He is still only 26 so time is on his side. I question if talent is one his side though.

Off spinner for test matches is a big NO NO ,except Murli. It is just like playing a Medium pace trundler on dead wicket (Test Match.)

Vettori? Panesar? Saqlain? Harbajan?

i'l take johnson over sohaail thanvir anyday at least he has genuine speed

Nathan Horroritz is the worst bowler of all time. He makes Mick Lewis seem magical by comparison, please don't mention that name again.

Casson's selection is clearly ridiculous while McGain is around. The Guy barely took a top order wicket all year while McGain consistently made the top order breakthroughs. If he is not at least listed in the squad for India then Australia might aswell forfeit their 4th bowling option and just replace the spinner with a groundsman.

Katich 57 - Jaques 46
Aus 113-0 after 39 overs @ 2.89 an over - lead of 148

Katich 74 - Jaques 78
Aus 163-0 after 53 overs @ 3.07 an over - lead of 198

Don't think Windies will be able to dismiss us twice, so best result for them will be draw.

Remarkable statement given the Windies had your batting gasping for life at 18 for 5 in the first test. And Taylor wasn't even playing there!

Damn I just never tire of being right all the time!

Jaques 108 out ct behind off Edwards
Aus 223-1 after 72.3 overs - lead of 258

Katich batting on 99

This is his fourth Test century, his second in consecutive Tests, and has done very well here to give Australia a very dominant lead - 263 at the moment, for the loss of only one wicket

73.1 Taylor to Katich, 1 run, banged in short outside off and Katich gets over and pulls it down behind point, punching the air and shouting "Yee-he-ess!" before he has even got halfway down the track, and why not

***? How did this guy get another ton? Did the pitch totally flatten out or something?

What I heard from commentators is that pitch has lost pace and bounce today.

new ball has not taken yet
Aus 292-1 after 90 overs - lead of 327
22 overs left today

It's been flat for a while now. Shame that there's only 1 batsman in the team with maroon hats that puts a price on his wicket.

Aren't you the guy who used to hate Lee as well?:p

I am talking about offspinner not a slow left arm ,and yeah Harbajan is a crap test bowler now ,no offspinner can remain in test cricket for long.(remember saqi?)

commentator asking Viv Richards if he will like to be chaiman of selectors again. Viv says he will but he will have to be a dictator and no one gets in his way. That was the problem I (meaning Richards) had before.

now I can't tell he was seriuos or joking. later he says he has no ambition to be one

109.3 Benn to Hussey, OUT, got him! Delight for Benn as Hussey pops up to an edge to leg slip and Bravo takes a straightforward catch

MEK Hussey c Bravo b Benn 18 (59m 48b 2x4 0x6) SR: 37.50

Australia 330-3 - lead of 365

Hussey fails again..... :(

Well the consolation for Australia is that while Krapich scored a ton, Phil Jaques also got one, meaning Krapich is not a certainty to stay in the team when Hayden returns.

aussis have almost batted windies out of the game only a matter of time

probably declare at tea with a lead of 450 plus

LOL @ Ozgod and RA. you guys look pretty stupid now. Katich has been your best bat on this tour and has outscored the likes of ponting and hussey !

Once again give credit were its due, he saved you guys.

9.20am Welcome to the fourth day of this Bridgetown Test between West Indies and Australia. Simon Katich and Phil Jaques did their best to bat West Indies out of the game on the third day, now what does today hold?

Some bad news for West Indies - Sewnarine Chattergoon has arrived at the ground on crutches after his ankle mishap yesterday, so there can't be much chance he'll bat.

He got injured while fielding and was carried off and taken to hospital for X-Rays

117.1 Benn to Katich, OUT, And there's a wicket for Benn. Flighted outside off, Katich drives in the air straight to short cover and the substitute Sammy takes a simple catch. Not surprisingly given the match situation West Indies' celebrations are subdued, but it's well deserved for Benn

SM Katich c sub (DJG Sammy) b Benn 157 (488m 332b 14x4 0x6) SR: 47.28

119.2 Benn to Symonds, OUT, and another one for Benn! He tosses it up outside off, tempting Symonds into a big cover-drive but it's in the air and straight to Chanderpaul at cover. Easy catch, well bowled from Benn.

A Symonds c Chanderpaul b Benn 2 (8m 9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 22.22

Aus 360-5 - lead of 397

I hope you have to watch him bat a lot in October, that way at least the pain is shared :D

Well he did play well against India the last time in 2003/04 though.

Haddin 45 - Clarke 48
Aus 439-5 after 145 overs - lead of 474

first session 109-2 for Australia
lunch time

Australia has declared during lunch.

WI 4-0 after 1 over - need 471 to win

Katich now at 3rd slip, instead of 1st slip, drops Marshall off Lee
WI 11-0

2.1 Lee to Marshall, no run, dropped! And guess who? Simon Katich has moved into third slip for Lee, Marshall gets a thick edge to some outswing and it slams into Katich's hands and back out again. Simple chance, and that's his third easy drop in the cordon this match.

GUYS WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

Lee bowling 88-90mph bouncers at Marshall's very head

They've just shown a replay of the two vicious ones Lee gave Marshal in the last match that crunched his head twice

WATCH THIS NOW!!! :D

Lee dropping his pace, end of over, Clarke to continue

And the best thing about it is that GAYLE is still in

He's ALWAYS belligerent, he'll really go after any of these bowlers, I cant wait :D :D

Make no mistake, Gayle will look to bury Lee and bury Clarke, he'll not mind having the strike to any of them

Ooooooh even Clarke is bouncing Marshall now!!!!

low-mid 80s mph
