When you act as custodian of the game its your duty to ensure the financial survival of all boards.

Except big 3 rest all depend on ICC revenue share for the majority of their budget.

90 per cent of that revenue comes from India.

@Hitman was talking about mixing politics with sports. Sure, Hero cup and asia cup were not ICC events, but they were still sports. Bottom line: PCB or ex Pakistani cricketers do not have a standing to preach us not to mix politics and sports.

Going back to the topic of the thread: The PCB should plan to host the entire tournament in Pakistan with or without India. If the ICC is afraid of losing revenue, work out a deal with the ICC or walk out of the tournament itself. Be ready to lose some short term loss.

financial survival is down on the list of priorities .. First being fair treatment to all member boards. according to Board of Governors of ICC , all members are equal . 5% revenue or 95% revenue

ICC is setting up bad precedents for Future. 90% of Revenue comes from Indian Market , Not BCCI. its not that BCCI did some top of line marketing to fetch icc 3 Billion $ deal. its the broadcasters that want to tap into 1.5 Billion fans of the game so they offer big money to ICC. BCCI just happens to be the board of that country. they act like everything is because of BCCI

These teams are supposed to get top level security.

Crying about security is really a phony thing to do.

nothing can stop PCB from forfeiting the India game if BCCI has its way enforced regarding hybrid model. and PCB should do that

Now that they have been caught red-handed, they have switched back to the security threat drama, but this thread is filled with their crowing about how much damage they can do to Pakistan financially...the real reason for India's boycotts.

Of course their hindutva govt will present security threats as a reason because they know they can't give their real reasons. They don't have the guts to speak honestly.

What conclusion can we draw from this? I think we can conclude Indian men are timid and feminine. They have to hide behind security excuse as if they are women who need to be protected.

As a matter of fact, I believe many women are braver than Indian men in general.

Even that isn't really true. I think most Pakistanis who follow cricket would like to play India. I think most Indians would want to watch Pakistan/India games. The reason they don't happen is because India wants to use cricket as a political tool to damage Pakistan, this is not really a fan decision. Indian posters are just defending their govt through jingo lens, it is less to do with cricket.

why should we boycott icc? Pakistan will host CT 2025 dnt worry . we will take the hosting fee and we will also forfeit the game, we will even let you take the trophy both teams qualify for final, and bcci can take that trophy and shove it where sun does not shine

You will play the tournament in hybrid mode and play every scheduled match.

Else you will not play the tournament.

That's what most likely to happen.

Happened during Asia Cup as well.

Asia cup was played in good faith and anticipation that BCCI will reciprocate by playing Ct 2025. PCB obliged. now that they know BCCI wont.. pcb will take its stance. dnt worry

Indian market is paying to watch the Indian cricket team. Without that team Indian market won't pay. BCCI controls the Indian team.

BCCI has developed the game in India and marketed it. Else Pakistan has 220mn people and BD some 150mn, what's their contribution?

Absolutely!! India and Pakistan have and are sharing an adversarial relationship. No use pretending otherwise. The only difference is India used to be afflicted with Gandhi Nehru virus. Modi has some vestiges, but not the the extent of Vajpayee, Gujral and Morarji. India no longer backs away from confrontation and with the economic clout it can afford to have it’s way.

Pakistan is not making any threats, Simply responding to what BCCI is doing. BCCI can refuse to travel to Pakistan. Pakistan can do the same. why do you think its a threat?

Lets Bust the Security Excuse. lot of Indian posters say that Other 6 team’s confidence in security and India’s concern are not comparable since India fought wars with Pakistan , Faced terrorism and shares land border , India’s threat perception is different, Fair Enough. would bcci or indian government share any intel on any particular threat to Indian team in Pakistan? surely “fought wars” rhetoric or accusations of terrorism is pretty cliche and sweeping generalization of the whole issue. When India travelled to Pak in 2004 , 2006 and 2008 , all the wars had been fought even then, Terrorism was still active in Pakistan, Animosity was still there. this general security excuse is laughable unless a particular threat intel is presented to pcb or Pakistan government so they can make right call and agree with Indian government that indian team will not be safe in Pakistan

Was a sports team attacked in pakistan before 2009? No. So security situation changed.

If ICC had given any such written assurances then PCB should sue ICC.

PCB had threatened to boycott the 2023 ICC WC in India if India didn't travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

India didn't. Pakistan did travel to India though.

yes they can. Pakistan reserves the right to forfeit Indian Game. Nothing can enforce Pakistan to play. You are not Privy to clauses of MPA so do not make assumptions that this move will attract sanctions. if Pakistan forfeits the Indian Game , icc wont be able to shift the tournament anywhere. what comes after we will see

And now Indian Blind Cricket Team also got approval to visit Pakistan.

But we are still talking about a nonsensical dossier.. lol

Solution is very simple. Have India play all games in Lahore.Have Indian Team stay in Amritsar and travel 30-40 mins across the border to play each game and return back to Amritsar without any fuss the same day. Play your SF in Lahore as well (Final already scheduled in Lahore..) Come with your security if that makes you feel better.

Tennis is a individual sports. Davis Cup team is a temporary assembled team. The main players withdrew. Only players who were willing to take the risk were selected. Its not a regular national team.

Jaishankar doesn't has to play in public regularly. He didn't come for any bilateral talks.

Blind team hasn't got permission.

The Boat has already sailed .Now there is no chance of Indian team coming to Pakistan unless Modi asked them to Go there .

India is sending the dossier because Pakistan had asked the reason for the Indian team not coming.

PTV Sports locked a deal to sublicense Pakistan’s tour of Australia (3 ODIs & 3 T20 Internationals) for an approximate USD 6,50,000. Result of empty coffers & bad financial management, failure of the Director Sports & Syndication, PTV defaulted on payment. Tower Sports asked them to pay or they could hold back the live feed. Embarrassingly, & reportedly Director Sports to hide his incompetence & failure instead reached out an off shore third party & got the signal illegally landed at PTV Sports during the second ODI between Pakistan & Australia. Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) the parent broadcaster sent a Cease & Desist Notice to PTV for illegal broadcast, unprecedented in the history of state broadcaster.

We would have had all thy relationships that two good neighbours must have but your nation has backstabbed us and used terrorism as a tool to open up proxy warfare front against us. How can you keep doing that and expect us to have diplomatic and cricketing ties with you?

We want nothing to do with Pakistan or Pakistanis until they really learn to behave respectfully and responsibly.

And Najam Sethi is not just any ordinary person ,he was chairman of PCB for multiple time .he has enough experience with ICC.

So when someone is suggest something important than take it very seriously instead laughing.

PCB is a big institution and they cant take any decision based on public emotions instead logical .
 
AGREE that India Play all games at neutral venue, EXCEPT THE FINAL where they fly in for the game, directly onto the ground
