With a bigger budget and more blood and guts this film isnt one that can be ignored

The story straightaway can be written off as being poor and badly written A tighter script with a streamlining of the running time and a cut to the unnecessary charcters and scenes wouldve ensured a better film

The action which is the real point of this film is brutal in parts and a couple of charcters (baseball and hammer duo) do really add immensely to the films action The climatic one on one scenes are epic but the overdose of violence and fight pieces throughout do take something away from the quality scenes when they come

Overall a bit of hotch potch of some really good and some poor For people wanting to see a quality package this will be a let down

Overall id give raid 2 7/10, its nowhere near as good as the first film But it does contain even more brutal and astonishing violence and a couple of epic martial arts characters and sequences you are ever likely to see

An utterly insane movie from the demented mind of David Cronenberg. But a smart, perceptive and eerily foreboding film as well. James Woods is excellent as a sleazy but likeable TV programmer who shows violent and disturbing stuff for ratings. It gets to a point where you don't know what's real and what's hallucination. Blurring of reality and television is an amazing theme furthered today by "Reality-tv" and the public desire for violence and sleaze as shown today by the success of gory horror movies like Saw and Hostel.

Watch it for the gore. Watch it for the philosophy. BUT WATCH IT!!!

I left the cinema pretty much speechless last night and the morning after the night before I'm still in a daze. It was without doubt the best action/martial arts movie I have ever seen.

The story was decent enough despite the plot holes but it was never ever going to be about that. Make no mistake, everyone watches The Raid for its action and it doesn't get any better than this.

It is bigger, better, gorier and far more brutal than the first and whereas the first got slightly repetitive this just got more crazier and unique. The last couple of fights were unbelievable.

Watch this now in the cinema.

Its hollywoodized this time. Its not the same movie....the first one was like ~10 minutes of dialogues and non stop action.

The 2nd part is mostly dialogues and buildup to the fight scenes..at certain points the buildup of the story is slow and can get boring.

The action is great. The graphics are top notch..violence and fight scenes are plenty

As a raid film Id give it 3/10 but as an action movie Ill give it around 7.5-8/10.

Worth watching. Im happy for the Indonesian cinema, on par with Hollywood with action, if not better.

P.s. the 2nd part starts 2 hours after whatever happens in raid 1, raid 3 will start 3 hours before the ending of part 2.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

One of the most delightful and witty yet whimsical and heartfelt movies I've seen in a long time. Movies like these reminds me why I fell in love with this medium in the first place. Ralph Fiennes is a brilliant actor and this may possibly be his most memorable performance. The interplay between him and young Zero Mustafa is genuinely amusing. In fact all the odd little characters of this movie are memorable. Adrain Broody as the flamboyant and narcissistic rich heir, William Dafoe as his evil and ruthless henchman, Jeff Goldblum as the debonair lawyer, Saoirse Ronan as the innocent girl that is hard to not fall in love with. Plus cameos by Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton etc. and last but not the least Tony Revolori as the young Zero, a breakthrough performance. Wes Anderson presents his stories with a child like wonderment and innocence that is hard to find in movies nowadays. There is a method to his madness, an artistry perfected over the years of mixing eccentricity with fairy tale charm, of great astonishment with complex emotions and feelings. He is a pure gem in the sea of mediocrity that is today's Hollywood. His movies, particularly this one, are like sweet and endearing dreams, like that beautifully wrapped pink box carrying that heavenly desert that plays such an important part in the movie, you can never have enough of them.

Your right It was insane and yes its way beyond anything Hollywood has to offer but that doesnt make it a great martial arts film And certainly not the greatest!

The ending was my favourite part! What a closing line!

Scorsese's films (for me) usually turn out to be overrated, but this one and Taxi Driver are the exceptions.

Criminally underrated! Harrison Ford's best acting effort, while Kelly McGillis is beautiful and intriguing. Great 'Straw Dogs'-style payoff in the last 30 minutes as well.

Did you or anyone else notice a very young Viggo Mortensen as an Amish in the horse and cart? Crazy.

Perhaps it was the months of hype but in my book this is absolutely a great martial arts film and its IMDB rating suggests the same. Seriously, this movie ruined movies in general for me, I'm just not that hyped for anything else this year.

'Main Tera Hero' (2014)

Apart from a few funny scenes here and there, it was overall a pretty rubbish film, albeit short in length which is always refreshing to see in Bollywood.

Varun Dhawan, the hero, the son of the film´s director David Dhawan, was at times trying too hard to copy Salman Khan, who too of course is acting-wise very over-rated. Not a man to idolise I am afraid if you are fond of 'acting' properly.

This film just tells you that David is still stuck in the 1990s.

Triangle.

A single mother of an autistic child gets invited to a boat trip by her friends to take her mind off things. Twenty minutes into it something strange happens. The wind completely stops. And then the real film starts on a seemingly abandoned ship.

Time travel and portals are the main theme. Will get people thinking and discussing the movie long after it is finished as most time travel movies do.

For a low budget, a good attempt overall. Probably would give it a 6.5

I think there is something wrong with me perhaps. I end up liking and giving positive reviews most of the times, and only give a negative one only if a film happens to be a very, very, very bad one!

One thing that didn´t make much sense was the conversion of the villain onto being a villain. The explanation behind it seemed pretty lame and poorly constructed one. Hey, but I like Spiderman´s stunt etc. though. Not a bad superhero in my opinion.
