Highly recommend Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. Both are decent 6/10 HOWEVER they have great storyline.

I just watched a wonderful movie called "Knowing" starring Nicholas Cage.

I think it had a very thrilling plot line, something new that you havnt seen before, if you liked movies such as 2012 or any thriller movies regarding apocalyptic ends, this one is for you :)

Kiri get a life...watching too many movies lately. :p

I have finished some exams so I will treat myself to the many moves. You be quiet before I spank you to the point of never thinking about watching a movie again.

Bourne Identity- 9/10 Great thriller about spy having amnesia so CIA is after him to cover up their operations. Great film. Great acting. One of the best films for thriller.

I watched this one , the film starts and builds up really well . Climax is a bit let down.

Sherlock Holmes : Game of shadows

Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.

Excellent movie. Good realistic action , good script , excellent acting.

8.5 / 10

What a trilogy, in my all time favorite list. Also watch The bourne supremacy and probably you have already watched The bourne ultimatum.

I actually meant Bourne Supremacy, somehow that name crept in my mind. I have not watched the legacy even myself. :))

I have no idea. Moderators found that people were going against forum rules on that thread.

All three bourne's were good and so was Legacy but Matt made the first three better.
Ultimatum was the best tho...

'Zila Ghaziabad' (2013)

Overall a good idea but an extremely poorly made film which was only filled with the sound of bullet shots, and a bit too long as well for my liking. It was going well till when Sanjay Dutt arrived, whose introduction and a third angle to the film, completely spoiled it. His poem was a funny one though which was recited in it when he took charge of the district/area as the police officer. The bit about the elections was the worst for not only its irrelevance, but also for adding needless extra time to the overall length.

Vivek Oberoi is an excellent actor though who acts pretty well in every other film. It saddens me to see him not appearing in too many films.

I dislike item songs to the extremes and never listen to them, irrespective of how popular they might turn out to be. So there was this one which I skipped as well, but its wording briefly caught my attention, which was "Appney baap ka na samjho maal"! Speechless:facepalm:!

The Inside Man - 8/10 Great thriller about a lunatic who thinks he can pull off the perfect heist by taking hostages in a bank. It's up to Denzel Washington and Jodie Foster to negotiate and get them out. Complete twist at the end.

This should bring back memories.

Watched "The Forbidden Kingdom", it was a great film and it stars Jackie Chan.

It's up on youtube, for anyone that is interested.

Godzilla

Now this is what I call a "blockbuster". It was Jurrasic Park meets Aliens. Amazing graphics. Highly entertaining. Had a great time watching it on 3D.

Godzilla has always been a comical monster. The image etched in my mind was from older movies when special effects consisted of having a plastic doll like figure roam around as if someone is moving it by hand amongst cardboard buildings and superimposed shots of people running around screaming hysterically, all looking very amateurish. Big budget and the advancement in graphics can do wonders to a monotonous story like this. Not only that, loved the camera point of view, often shunning the front seat view of the destruction to one from behind building windows, car wind shields, etc. making the viewer feel the sheer shock and awe of seeing a monster reducing their city to rubles. Surprisingly I felt the weakest link of the movie was Bryan Cranston. Not sure what happened but he was over acting throughout, even his wig seems obviously fake.

The young director Gareth Edwards has got huge potential. Some of the scenes were visually so brilliant and breathtaking both conceptually and aesthetically, like the paratroopers jumping to the ground with red dye markers streaking the sky making it seem like the sky is crying bloody tears. The chaos and mayhem was not senseless as it could have easily been. There was a human element behind it which so many other monster movies miss out on. The urban jungle where Godzilla reigned supreme had all the patterns of our collective follies like environmental degradation, over population, disregard for nature and finally our helplessness despite developing so many toys to handle such a phenomenon. It takes us to the central message of the movie, nature always restore balance. While we polluted earth and created monsters and then were totally taken back by our own short sighted schemes, other natural forces, usually an earthquake or tsunami, comes out and restore balance. Godzilla is the ultimate evolutionary giant and for its own survival and ours had to restore balance. Long live Godzilla. Look forward to the sequel.

Godzilla. 8/10.

Elizabeth Olsen = the prettiest woman in Hollywood.

GoldenEye 6/10
there were big goofs ( lambi chori bond ne ) that jump from mountain to helipcopter etc otherwise the plot was decent also Brosnan's hairstyle looked great
Lady of the night 7/10
its an erotic italian movie starring Serena Grandi some of the scenes were epic like that rifle scene

6.5/10

A strange, schizophrenic horror movie with boring scenes of exposition punctuated by effective jump scares. The dramatic scenes keep holding the scary bits back until the ending where all hell thankfully breaks loose. It helps that the movie has two seriously good performances. Jared Harris (AKA The Best Moriarty ever) makes some truly dull dialogue sound important and effective. Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel) is exceptional. Vulnerable, manipulative, disturbed, angry, she makes it all highly convincing without hamming. It's an Oscar worthy performance in a movie which doesn't deserve it. It's slow burn horror which sometimes gets really dull only to give you a jolt. Worth watching if you are a horror or a Hammer fan.

I was disappointed with X-Men...too much talk, less action. A pointless entry imo. I would have preferred if the director of X-Men First Class returned. The end credits scene was interesting though.

X Men Days of Future Past
8/10

Dragged a little towards the end. Logan, Mystique, Charles and Magneto were well portrayed though. The villain was weak though not due to Peter Dinklage's performance as he had no backstory, no reason given to be the bad guy. He wasn't even shown as evil. X Men First Class was much better plus it had a superb villain in Kevin Bacon.

Just finished Public Enemies 8.5/10

A true story on a bank robber gang which also has a tragic lovestory as well good film :19:

DreamCatcher

Friends on a camping trip discover that the town they're vacationing in is being plagued in an unusual fashion by parasitic aliens from outer space.

Movie about Alien . The movie starts off well , slow in the middle , and is monotonous .

5 / 10

7.5/10

A girl tries to prove the murder committed by her brother is due to something supernatural. A really good psychological drama. Not so much scary as creepy much like Session 9. Defines the term mind screw. The scariest aspect of the movie is how it seems pretty much in the realm of possibility atleast upto a point. Some good performances especially by the lovely Karen Gillan helps this movie immeasurably. There is an overpowering feeling of dread and hopelessness in this movie much like Sinister.

Yeah I'd give it an 8 for the fresh factor in brought to the genre after a long time.

Hide and seek

As a widower tries to piece together his life in the wake of his wife's suicide, his daughter finds solace -- at first -- in her imaginary friend.

Good plot. Suspense till the end.

7 / 10

The Father himself is charlie :)

Unbreakable 9.5/10

Great acting and screenplay in this simple and jaw dropping thriller from Bruce Willis

Anchorman 2

both Anchormen suck so bad its unreal. Will Ferrel himself is so overrated, his jokes are try hard jokes and aren't funny.
Anchorman itself is ok but the way people overrate it is unreal- there are so much comedies which are miles ahead:mj

I judge people based on whether they find Will Ferrell funny.

I would not want to know you in real life.
