Good movie, but comparatively it has nothing on the book. A let down, I would say.

oooh my fav movie....

Bale is the shizanizzle

These are some of the films I have watched during the week long break:

'Ghajini'- Brilliant:14:! Movie of the last year:19:!

'Kismat Connection' - A below average film apart from "some" comedy.

'Bachna Ae Haseeno' - A nice and funny film:)).

'Ramachand Pakistani' - A crap film:boom:!!!

Just watched Tropic Thunder. Delivered epic lulz throughout, quite easily the best movie i've seen in a long time. Robert Downey Jnr deserves an Oscar.

Watched 'Chandni Chowk To China'. Apart from some ocassional comedy, the film is gutter:boom:!!!

Never expected this from Akshay Kumar:22:........

OMG yea I saw that...unbelievably retarded film...I actually fell asleep in the cinema while watching it

For those who havent watched Chandi Chowk to China-please stay far, far away. Even from the trailers. One fo the worst movies I have ever watched

3:10 to Yuma

I don't normally like westerns but this movie was epic, simple story but filled with great scenes and dialogue, the build up to the ending was brilliant. Russell crowe and Christian bale were both incredible, ben foster was good, i thought he overacted a little bit but his character's name is charlie prince so thats probably how he was supposed to be :asif

9.5/10

:))) :))) I shall watch with glee...

I watched the X Files movie which proved to be a damp squib really. It didnt quite have the same appeal as the series. 5/10

Also watched Boogeyman 3. A rather poor attempt at horror - 4/10.

Watched 'The Motocycle Diaries', a biopic which depicts the early life of Ernesto Guevara and his travels across Latin America (on a motorcycle) which turns him into the revolutionary 'Che Guevara'. Quite a good movie , 7.8/10.

Watched 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues.........'

Well, the mystery in reality is Mahesh Bhatt and company and his rubbish films continue:22:......

P.S.: Indiafan, this one is for you mate;-). A great film! A must watch for you:19:!

Appaloosa - boring

RocknRolla - not as good as Snatch or Lock Stock

Bollywood movie Black and White . Okay movie, but simplistic treatment of root cause of suicide bomber. The Mumbai attacks show the realistic picture of Indian police efficacy.

Is this a movie about Mumbai attack? That just happened 2 months ago how can they make a movie so quick. And were the suicide bombers? I don't think so

The last movie i watched was " Witness " starring Harrison Ford and Kelly Mcgillis and it was over 15 or maybe 20 years ago. I am really not a movie fan as there is just too much sex and violence these days. I can not do something that i will ask my kids not to do.

We watched 7 Pounds starring Will Smith last night.

It has an interesting storyline, but I thought it dragged on a bit too much and was rather depressing. I fell asleep for abouot 15 minutes towards the end and didnt miss much according to Mrs Saj.

6/10

Saw Memento a few days ago.

Absolutely stunning film, finally realize why everyone loves it so much. Brilliant acting from Guy Pearce and as usual, Chris Nolan comes up with gem after gem.

9/10

now go and watch Gajini lmao!

Ye, Memento is amazing! Never tire of watching it. Have you seen The Life of David Gale? Very sad :(

'Lucky By Chance' - a below average film. Farhan would better off be a director only.

We watched, well half of it as I fell aslepp after about 45 minutes of it and switched it off - Grudge 3. I'm a big fan of horror films and will normally watch all horror films, but Grudge 3 was utter garbage. The producers should have left it after the success of the first one, as this was a pathetic attempt at horror.

The very pale Japanese kid and woman just aren't scary any more - 2/10

Underworld- Rise of the Lycans

^^ terrible film

Killer Movie - waste of time
Luck by Chance - good
W - enjoyed it, Josh Brolin was magnificent
Traitor - fantastic
Raaz 2 - not bad
The Spirit - retarded

Just finished watching Frost Nixon. 8/10

Good movie, not as good as i expected based on the reviews but it didn't disappoint either. Some great dialogue and acting especially towards the end. You could see a lot of similarities between Nixon and Bush except Nixon was an intellectual, probably why they chose to make the movie just as Bush is leaving.

agreed

We watched Saw 5 last night.

I've enjoyed every minute of all 4 previous films and the 5th episode was brilliant too. Just a thought, I know they have said that they wont be making any more of these films, but with the way the film ended the option has been left open. 8.5/10

Slumdog Millionaire. Good movie, waaay to overhyped. And Million Dollar Baby, an abouluste SUPERB MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah and War and Peace, 1950's classic. Good movie, waaay better than these new movies that you see nowadays.

Cadillac Records - fantastic, Beyoncé was absolutely stunning

I saw Victory and all I could do was :))) :))) ... and no it's not a comedy for those that haven't heard of it... it's based on the life of a cricketer.

I am sorry but the movie was outright pathetic. I was interested cause they had actual cricketers act in the movie... but the movie was a total joke. I mean it gets lame after seeing the hero hit sixes all day, every match :)))

We watched a horror film called Farm House.

I wasnt sure how good it was going to be but was pleasantly surprised. I think you have to be a seasoned horror film watcher to enjoy this though.

7/10.

Just watched Slumdog Millionaire!

Was very good!
I expected a bit more though as it was hyped so much!

Watched 'Billu Barber'. It was a gutter and full of garbage film:boom:!!! It shocked me to see Shah Rukh Khan working in such a film:O!!

Shah rukh stepped into that world a long time ago, Kal ho na ho comes to mind.

I saw slumdog recently, overrated although the childhood part was pretty good. 6.5/10

The World Unseen

This is a South African production and not Bollywood

world_unseen.1232987002.movie_info.jpg

A fantastic movie if you understand South African politics

Nothing can stop you from falling in love.

In 1950's South Africa, apartheid is just beginning.

Free-spirited Amina has broken all the rules of her own conventional Indian community in South Africa by running a café – a safe haven of laughter, music and home-cooked food. A ‘grey area’ for those who fall outside the strict ‘black and white’ rules of the apartheid-led government.

Café regulars include Amina’s feisty waitress, Doris, her gentle "coloured" business partner, Jacob, and the sparky white local postmistress, Madeleine. Long accustomed to the racial barriers of the country and its new laws, Madeleine and Jacob nevertheless share a budding attraction.

Miriam, on the other hand, is a doting mother to her children and a demure, subservient wife to her chauvinistic, frustrated husband, Omar. Quietly intelligent, Miriam has never assumed that she has choices in life.

When Miriam meets Amina, their unexpected attraction throws them both off balance. Although Miriam manages to subdue her fascination with unconventional Amina, she finds herself slowly inspired to confront familiar and familial constraints. Shortly after their encounter, Miriam moves to an isolated life in the country, but, even here, apartheid is placing its cruel footprint on society and these injustices bring the two women together again, cementing the basis of their growing feelings.

Meanwhile, Jacob decides to pursue a love affair of his own and he and Madeleine begin a tentative, touching relationship. But the best intentions of both are overcome by practical challenges and indignities of simply spending time together.

Even the fearless Amina, faced with the strength of her feelings and with the reality of Miriam’s situation, starts doubting herself. And Miriam finds herself making some courageous choices that will change her own life forever.

Using the stunning South African landscape and jazz music of the time, The World Unseen explores a system that divides white from black and women from men, but one that might just allow an unexpected love to survive.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

had 3 hot chicks in it but didnt get what the point of the movie was

6/10

Watched 'Delhi 6'. Not quite upto the standards of 'Rang De Basanti' but still quite a good film showing the inner weaknessess that countries like India posses.

My rating:

I will give it seven and a half out of ten (7.5/10):19:.

yea that sounds fair...there was too much Hindu deity stuff which wasn't exactly relevant to the story...they should have focused a bit more on the Abhishek - Sonam angle

Sex Drive - those who enjoyed Superbad will enjoy this one as well.

I watched Changeling this afternoon. It's hard to believe that this movie is based on a true story. Brilliant movie

True, and I watched the unrated version to boot..... had to look away from the screen a few times. :yk

The boy in striped pyjamas

Some of the things in the film were really absolutely off-track.
