It's about a whole lot of things. It's the kind of film which leaves you thinking hours after you have finished it.

Thanks for reminding me that I had to mention this; I did not realize that John Abraham could act! He was exceptional in this movie, and played his role perfectly. I have seen some of his other movies, and he was quite horrible. I guess a movie this good had to get the best out of him.

Well the guy can certainly act. Which movies of his have you seen ? I suggest you pick up dvd's of Goal , Zinda , Jism and Water. He, IMO , is one the better actors of bollywood. In fact he has been signed by Deepa Mehta to play the lead in her upcoming movie " Luna " opposite the likes of Rachel Weisz and Dustin Hoffman.

Watched Bollywood film "Welcome". I laughed my *** off :))) :))) :))) :)) :)) !!!!!!!!
If you are under any stress or tension I will also recommend this film. It was exactly what I needed after all the tension going around in Pakistan.

Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Katrina Kaif, Feroz Khan were all rocking :19: !

Just finished watching "No Country for Old Men" with Tommy Lee Jones and "3:10 to Yuma" with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale (Batman Begins). Both movies were really good, though the ending on each of these was a bit weak.

watched enchanted

a true disney classic in the making.

couple of tunes are stuck in my head!

American Gangster

Denzel Washington deserves an Oscar for playing, with ruthless cool, notorious drugs baron of the 70s, Frank Lucas. Very good movie, in my top five of 2007 (along with Apocalypto, Michael Clayton, Blood Diamond and Transformers)

Umm, I think both Blood Diamond and Apocalypto were released in 2006.

Watched Welcome yesterday night. Good movie, a lot of entertainment, and who wouldn't want to watch Katrina Kaif??

Comedy was very well done, im going to watch it again.

Saw No country for Old Men. I must say I was disappointed, people had said it was a very good movie but it seemed very average at most to me. It is still a good movie but I would not call it great. Not for everyone, a little slow at times.

Anyone seen Tom Hanks in Charlie Wilson's War re a US senator in Aghanistan?

Just watched Taare Zameen Par. 10/10 even more actually.

It not the normal bollywood film with no story and no meaning. It has a very powerful meaning and i have a feeling it will win the best movie award. I think this is the second movie in bollywood with no heroin, and they were both better then normal films.

If you are going to watch a desi movie then this is the one to watch.

Saw The Inivisible. A movie that was mediocre at best and awful at worst. I would recommend you all to stay away.

I also saw Chak de India. That was a pretty good movie, single-handedly carried by SRK and he did a good job of it. Not a typical Indian movie, there was absolutely no romance and useless songs: I think its well worth a watch.

And I also saw National Treasure 2. Not as good as the first one but still a very good watch.

I have seen three bollywood movies in a row, and all half decent actually, except for the continuous happy endings.

Partner, Hum Ko Deewana Ker Gaye, and Welcome. Surprisingly, all had Katrina Kaif in them.

:13: you mean "intentionally"

Watched 'The Great Debaters' starring Denzal Washington last night. Definitely recommend watching it, especially if you like rooting for the underdog and are into debating.

Watched "We Own The Night" with Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes and Robert Duvall. Interesting plot about a brother (Wahlberg) who followed his father (Duvall) to be a cop and the brother (Phoenix) who is involved with crime.

Watched 1408, enjoyed it. Kept me on the edge of my seat and had a few scary bits in it.

I watched I Am Legend, good movie. Not what i expected but fair nonetheless.

I was kind of dissapointed with the film in all honesty, i think they could have produced a better film with the settings they had, just down loaded "'The Great Debaters' " will post back to say how it was :)

"I am Legend", which was alright. Nothing spectacular.

"Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal", probably the worst Indian movie of 2007. I would recommend staying away from it.

"Eraserhead", the creepiest movie I have ever seen. However, I am still not too convinced about David Lynch because I think he is just a sadistic ******* who does not explain his movies and wants to play with the heads of the audience by trying to make them comprehend something to which there is no point whatsoever!

I saw Taare Zameen Par which i thought was absolutly brilliant and the songs were really good speacially "Maa"

watched the bee movie with my 6 yr old cousin

Hoi hoi!! Zindabad mere bhai!!!!!Might watch it some time in the near future !!! :19:

I watched the last king of Scotland last night, and what i film! Great performance by Forrest Whittaker!

u should watch it mohsin bhai, its really not that bad, i must admit i quite enjoyed it. :19:

I watched Death Sentence last night starring Kevin Bacon.

Gruseome stuff. An executive takes revenge on a gang that murdered his son - well worth a watch.

I saw Gone Baby Gone which was a pretty decent movie. Many people have claimed it to be the best movie of the year but I am not sure if I would go that far. It is quite dark and very well directed. Casey Afleck is ok but mumbles a lot at times. Ed Harris acted really really well in it. It was ok, not that great as everyone makes it out to be.

I also saw, The 13th Warrior with Antonio Banderas. I had read the book Eaters of the Dead before. It was alright for a book adaptation, but I would still say the book was better. an OK movie to watch. Combines the story of a muslim explorer meeting the vikings (true story) and the story of Beowulf.

I also saw Antitrust and I would recommend every programmer to see this movie. Makes a bold statement for the war between open source and propreity software. Good depiction of Bill Gates by Tim Robbins. As usual the movie goes over the top in the end but the stuck to the basics when it came to technology. Programs written in C. Good use of mouse, there wasn't any of the "few keystroke and I can select an area in the image and zoom in" that every other movie has. This was no "Hackers".

I also saw Bon Cop Bad Cop which is a bilingual Canadian film with 2 cops, one form Ontario and another from Quebec. They are investigating a murder that falls in both of their jurisdiction. Same as any other crime partner movie, like Rush Hour or so but it was good mostly because it was in both English and French equally and subtitles in both languages.

next on my list are Charlie Wilson's War and The Great Debaters.

Dawn of the Dead on last nite on ch4.

v gruesome and bloody.. especially since the zombies cud only die if shot in the HEAD !!

what a sad ending..sailing away in the nice sunset,
running out of petrol,
finding land with a bit of luck,
and then ....

indian - taare zameen par - goodm movie

hollywood - charlie wilson's war - om puri did a good job playing zia-ul-haq

Tin Cup,starring Kevin Costner.was released back in 1996. You will love this movie if you have not seen it yet.

i am legend was the last one for me great film then ending wasnt very good though

Over the past week I've seen American Gangster and The Kite runner

American Gangster was good as expected. Enjoyed it although the middle parts did get a bit long and tedious at times. Not quite as good as say Scarface which it has been compared to.

The Kite runner was better than I thought. Everyone whos read the book has high praise for it but I havent read it. The movie was pretty moving though

Ahh yes Kite Ranner. Great book and great film. Do you remember the boy who played Aseef as a child (Elham Ehsas)? Great acting huh? He and i are good freinds, we both go to school, in my class too!! How did you find his performance?

He was the bully kid wasnt he?
The performances of the kid actors were really good - very believable

Yep that was him, and very true all the child actors were very much believable, that’s what created the platform for the film for me, the intro as it were before the 'future' when they're all grown up.

We watched 3.10 to Yuma last night.

Cracking Western, well worth a watch in my opinion.

I watched No Country For Old Men, by the Coen brothers at the cinema...what a cracking movie, definately oscar worthy. If anyone has seen the oscar winner Fargo, you will love this.

I have watched Fargo; everyone seemed to love it but I did not care for it much. I'm hoping "No Country for old men" is a much bigger effort than Fargo.

gonna watch that tonight - looking forward to it

Watched Chuck and Larry.

Funny in parts, easy to watch, but not that great. 6/10

Apart from one scene, I was pretty bored during that.

Might see Sweeny Todd tomorrow

which scene Daoud?

Saw Bourne Ultimatum. It was good but will wait for Bollywood to make their better version - Johnny Blade

watched AVP2

pretty senseless violence..they could do so much better..reminded me of the crappy horror iterations like haloween and friday the 13th series..

character development of the humans was minimal.

brings a disservice to the aliens and predator series.

but enjoyable on the big screen. If you are a predator fan with his crazy weaponry!

seen No Country for Old Men the other day

Thought it was a good film until the ending which just lost me and came out of nowhere

Alien vs Predator Requiem

Waste of money, no storyline a couple of good jokes on terrorists and the american g'ment but other than that pathetic

watched AVP 1 the day after on T.V would say that was better film.

i saw..BLOOD DIAMOND..last nite.. i wanted to watch tht frm quite sm time.....
n Leonardo... o ma gosh.. i didnt really get time to follow storyline..

bt .. its ws gr8.. gonna watch it again .. for Leo's sake...

I finally got to watch The Football Factory.

I was expecting more from this film. Watchable but not great 6.5/10.

hmmm lets see ...

I saw Hitman which was not as good as I was expecting it to be. The action was good but the acting by that oliphant guy was bad. I always wanted to see Jason Statham in the Hitman role. I always pictured him when I played the game. I would have loved this movie if they had included the thing I liked the best about the game which was when you were running and you turned corners and his tie would fly out. that would have been killer. Decent action movie if you want to watch. I wouldn't really recommend it though.

Watching The Assasination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford. Will post a review on that soon.

Next up are Charlie Wilson's War and Beowulf.

I need to find There Will be Blood from somewhere.

aren't both aliens? why the discrimination, lableing and calling creatures names?

Dude, write to the producers with that query! :)))

Re the movie, it lacked a fusion human, you know, like Will Smith in I, Robot, or a Terminator, T2000 - the giant insects and metal warriors were way too strong for those small-town Americans to handle!!!

Hanks is good in CWW and Beowulf is better in 3D on a large screen. By the way I am Legend is now out at the IMAX.

Sweeney Todd anyone? Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. Johnny Depp, as usual performs brilliantly. Oooh the violence!

Haven't seen Sweeney Todd and doubt I will. Do want to see Heath as the Joker in the new Batman movie, he looks evil in clips, shame he died.

Also looking forward to the new Raiders movie, has a lot to live up to.

Reno 911: Miami....one or two funny scenes but generally rubbisht american humour,

watchin The Bucket List (Jack Nicholson & morgan freeman) at the mo

I watched American Gangster last night.

Thought it was brilliant and a must see.

American Graffiti (1973). You have to be immersed in American culture and their obsession with cars to appreciate this one, but I did like the aspect of confused teenagers not knowing what to do with their lives and what was facing them ahead.
