Also watched a Bollywood film called Kahaani. Was ok but then the weird twist at the end spoilt it. The actress Vidya Bhalan is really good in it though 6.5/10.

Also watched Silent Hill 2. Absolute garbage, strange film which I would avoid if I were you 3/10.

Seven Psychopaths, 7.5/10 an extremely underated movie i urge all movie lovers to watch this, in particular those who who favour an original screenplay and an unconvential style of directing/stroy-telling. It finds the perfect balance between humour, action and drama for me and a real breath of fresh air in a long time, one of my top movies from the last 12 months:

Yeah I liked Trance, but some critics didn't like it it seems, certainly different from D Boyle's earlier films, lot of colour, nudity etc. and story was a bit loose in terms of treatment, maybe that put them off.

Latest G.I joe was hilarious, loved the way they make Pakistan nuclear free. Oblivion was also all right, nothing special but Tom Cruise still looks amazing for being 50. These movies are the ones i will must likely see in coming months.

It was pretty good but far too tragic to be a horror comedy. It's amusing sometimes but not as openly hilarious yet kinda scary as EDII.

Don't get me wrong. I love Werewolf. But ED II is on another plane for me.

Another classic is Peter Jackson's Dead Alive. Not horror but a really sick comedy. i didn't know whether to throw up or laugh.

Finally watched 'Argo'. Not sure if its a good idea to watch a movie after it has won best movie Oscar. You always end up having such high expectations, even though the standard of Oscar winning movies have gone down over the years, you just expect to be wowed. I still liked 'Argo', only enough to give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Maybe if I have watched it before it got the Oscar I might have given it 4 out of 5 star. Ben Affleck needs to seriously consider taking himself out of acting roles in his movies, the guy is just so monotonous. My theory that Hollywood gives Oscars not to the best movie but to the movie which can best portray a politically positive, pseudo artsy, often self congratulatory theme, ended up getting solidified after watching Argo. It's like Hollywood is in love with its own self more than anything. Last year it was 'The Artist', a movie about the movie industry, this year it's 'Argo', on how the making of a fake movie rescued six Americans. The narcissism of Hollywood is frankly getting out of hand and becoming a pretty obvious bait for future directors to look for scripts in which somehow Hollywood ends up being a hero or some kind of force for good in the world.
