I was forced to go :)

Seriously, Bollywood makes some utter garbage films, but this was one of the worst.

You are right , maximum Bollywood Movies makes you sit back and think how they waste money on such scripts.

One of biggie's greatest records ever, changed the theme and his usual flow, something different from him but the execution was fantastic

Deadpool 2:

Enjoyed it more than I thought, the serious undertone and making Deadpool a bit more relatable through the feeling of loss was a nice touch. Humor was a bit forced sometimes, but I mean... it is Deadpool. Music was on point too lmao.

Liked it more than the first, nice watch.

Alpha.

A movie about survival. About an unexpected bond between man and beast.

Loved it.

Halloween 2018 - 8.5 / 10
leatherface58 what was your rating ? and I agree, a reboot of this series will be a no brainer for the higher ups but it will be interesting to see where they go from here and if the leads will be involved

Barry Lyndon..

I didn’t fully care about the storytelling itself, but it’s the most visually stunning film one would ever hope to see. Kubrick’s ability to get things out of the actors is also second to none from the directors I have seen.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha. A movie I wanted to watch for the past couple of years but couldn't due to one reason or another. An underrated quirky comedy like The Lunchbox, English Vinglish, Billu (Barber), Race 3 etc. Highly recommended.

Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. 9/10. Gritty action sequences & Great Character Development. After long time an indian movie with action that i admire. Must watch & very harshly reviewed movie on movie websites (mostly because one of its producers has a sexual assault allegation over him). Also oddly enough this gem of movie was huge commercial failure.

I hate to generalize based on one movie alone but if modern indian cinema goers cant respect this movie, then they are the ones to blame the most for the nonsensical trash/******** bollywood keeps churning out year & year. No wonder Anurag Kashyap is ****** off all the time in his interviews.

The movie grossed a meagre sum of 1.21 crore against its overall budget of 21 crore.
Complete flop!

The last one I watched was FAN and that was incredible, not many stars around now or movies to look forward to in that genre like in the 90s and early 2000s, are there any releases to look forward to? I think there is one where SRK is a dwarf that could be good

I would recommend this movie to you. It is easy to watch if you are fan of movies of anurag kashyap & motwane. If you are looking for crowd pleaser movies then this one is probably not for you.

The action sequences are incredible & the whole storyline is something that even pakistanis can relate to as well especially folks from Karachi ( New thing i learned in this movie that mumbai has water management issues just like karachi does).

I am so angry at their gross. Like I said, the indian cinema goers deserve idiotic crap like rowdy rathores & thugs of hindustans. God knows how many more years they need to mature & learn how to appreciate a good movie.

Watched half of thugs of Hindostan.

Pretty average so far. Looks like a desperate attempt at creating an epic like movie. However, the forced symbolism is way too cheesy and doesnt seem natural like say in the dark knight rises. Story is weak so far and nothing special. Acting wise, Amitabh and Amir have held their own so far. Katrina is as usual just a show piece. And that new girl playing Zafira is above average. Would watch the rest of it and give it a rating later but not expecting it to improve too much in the second half.

Will check that out mate, I saw Chennai Express in Cinema due to a friend and I was so traumatised that it took a while to watch another release until FAN. Not a huge fan of the mainstream stuff or masala.

Finished watching Thugs of Hindostan.

Adding to the previous post, the movie is Way too predictable and has a simple story. Nothing special at all. Perhaps they didnt even try to have a solid script for it. They might have thought that they would compensate it with cinematography, dialogues, larger than life sequences and star power of Amir and Amitabh. Goes without saying that they have failed. There are only two things worth watching in this movie :

1) Amir and Amitabh's acting

2) Some Action sequences which are done surprisingly well for a bollywood movie.

Special effects are pretty average, the ships look like toys in a bath tub.

Overall, i would give it 5/10.

The Ballad Of Buster Scrugg

The latest from the Coen’s is a anthology set in the old West. A fun watch.

Badhai ho
8/10 very well done.comedy ,so happy finally actors and script writers getting their due ,seems to be a huge hit.

Andha dhun
9/10
Classic Raghavan ,feels.like after Johnny gaddar this was his comeback, thrilling and again very very well written ,dark humor at times lot.of twists and awesome acting by everyone in the movie, Tabu though stands out!

Ayushman a common link between both the above.movies , remarkable career growth and.improvement of.craft.

Not really, there were issues with the movie it cudnt keep the audience tuned in, editing was an issue.
The movie is a good one.time.watcj ,but it had good script which wasn't well directed as it could had been.

Indian audience has been very good this year from.Stree to Andha dhun,Raazi to Badhai ho have done well and race 3,Thugs shown the door.

Sorry this movie is idiotic crap. The acting by the two leads is cringe.

You have some very suspect taste buds so not sure if I can trust you :yk2 didn't you give suicide squad a positive rating.

The Hateful Eight has showed up on Netflix. Man, I love this movie. Cold, funny, beautifully shot & brutal.

I was thinking about how much of an amazing winter season watch this was a few days ago, been looking for something similar

Just seen a really good political thriller. Good acting and a tight script. What a cast

Russell Crowe
Ben Affleck
Rachel McAdams
Helen Mirren
Jeff Daniels
Robin Wright
Jason Bateman

Impressive. Oh it's on Netflix, State of Play.

Talking about great cast, my favourite movie that not many people have watched, great fun and one of the best catfights (is that sexist?)

2 DAYS IN THE VALLEY 1996

Danny Aiello
Charlize Theron
James Spader
Eric Stolz
Jeff Daniels (who triggered memory)
Teri Hatcher

Highly recommended, thoroughly underrated on Imdb

The Crimes of Grindelwald 8/10

Jonny Depp on his own shows why Amir Khan and SRK are not fit enough to tie his shoe laces as actors.

Singlehandedly made this move a worthy watch. Brilliant story and plot twists. JK Rowling is a God gifted story teller. Such an inspiration! Can’t wait for the 3rd movie, so many clif hangers. Ideally another A lister to be casted in the 3rd movie. Warner Bros did very well by casting Depp and Jude Law, maybe Cate Blanchet?

I was talking about my friend in cutter :))

Watched Wreck it Ralph 2. Kids had wrecked my brain that they wanted to see it.

Glad we did. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stree 8/10 funny and quite thrilling, love the premise.

2.0 Robot 2/10 terrible, loud only good thing was backstory of Akshay.

Tumhari Sulu 8/10 , well acted, directed again middle class oriented cinema.

Padmavat 6/10 jus for Ranveer's acting and costumes, graphics were pretty impressive compared to robot 2.0

Creed 2. One of the few franchises that got milked is the Rocky franchise, and it's probably the only one which has passed the test of time apart from the 2 movies proceeding the Creed franchise.

Rocky 5 and the one after were garb, the Creed titles reignited the series for me.

I liked how they humanized Ivan Drago, made you feel for him. He was by no means the bad guy even in Rocky 4 now that I think of it. He did what he had to win

But with Stallone retiring the role of Rocky I hope they call it on the series as well. I don't see where they'll go from here.

Overall 7.5/10, enjoyed it.

They didnt even want Stallone to be in the final Rocky movie but Stallone said that if he isnt in it, he wont allow the movie to be made :)) i agree they should end it now.

Trainspotting

8/10
Its a good movie based in Scotland. Even though i am not well aware of how things work in that part of the world, i enjoyed it.
The general theme of the movie is related to drugs among young people but also about struggles of the characters.

Mowgli

Andy Serkis’ passion project finally gets a Netflix release. Far more faithful to the books. Darker & grittier than the Disney version. Definately has teeth. I loved it. Im not sure why some critics seeing it as just an average movie. Technically brilliant. The cast list is top notch.

Fantastic Beasts : Crimes of Grindlewald.

Grindlewald is a great villian but the movie messes a lot with existing Harry Potter Lore.

First time watching a Pakistani movie, Dukhtar, it was recommended on a Malayalam forum.. movie's about mother trying to save her child from marriying to an old war Lord.. some stunning places there... BTW is it legal to carry guns in Pakistan?

Sairat, marati movie, only marati movie I watched till date also a great film... Highly recommended..

Mowgli.

Really enjoyed it.

Well worth a watch.

8/10.

You should also watch Actor in Law starring Fahad Mustafa and Om Puri.

I was looking to see 2.0 Robot , but i think after this post will not.

The Guilty (Den Skyldige)

Denmark's entry for the 2019 Oscars. The whole movie takes place inside a 112 emergency response unit focusing on just the dispatcher. One would think it is not enough to hold ones attention but each minute of the 90 minute runtime is enthralling. There are twists and turns a plenty but the main thing is that you are glued to the screen trying to anticipate what is going to happen next. Although you can figure out some things before they are made evident, there is still enough to keep you glued for the next revelation.

Got back about 40 mins ago from cinema, watched "sorry to bother you", good movie

Zero.

Absolute garbage. Pathetic acting, stupid storyline, awful film.

Nothing to like about this film, it's an absolute shambles.

It was embarassing to watch and made me cringe.

Name is zero and mark is 0/10.

Goodfellas.

This movie is excellent. It is very entertaining, for a gangster movie it's hell a fun to watch. It is one of the best movies i've seen period. 9.5/10

Saving private Ryan

8/10

One of the most realistic war movies i have ever seen. Realistic sequences, bone chilling at times looking at how insignificant life is during a war. I highly recommend it to ones who havent watched it.

Martian

7/10

A fine movie overall about a man trapped on Mars and his struggles to get back home. Acting is good especially by Matt Damon. Story is okay as well and the pace of the movie is just about right.

Forget gangster films, it's one of the greatest movies of all time.

Bird Box

Not bad. Some scary bits, but the ending was weak.

6/10.

Hmm loved the movie it taught abt believing in onself and had somewhat agnostic aspect to it..is that the reason for your dislike?

Cant wait for Mr.Glass.

Shockingly I missed out on Creed 2 but don't mind waiting for DVD release in Feb

Ofcourse not. I dont like or dislike a movie based on how religious or non-religious the characters/script is. That would be stupid.

I didnt dislike the movie. Infact i believe it was a fine movie. I didnt give it an 8 or 9 because i thought as a complete 2 hour experience, it deserved a 7. A movie like intersteller on the other hand deserved a 9.

The Sixth Sense.

Awful. A bloody waste of time spent on this laughable film full of glaring plot holes, bad pacing, illogical structure and tangents.

Watching a Netflix documentary series called Dark Tourist.

Pretty interesting because i am intrigued by this Dark tourism genré of the tourism industry. Its interesting what drives people to choose dark tourism and visit places with a disturbing history. I only watched the 1st episode which is about Latin America. Pretty interesting so far. Will keep posting about it.

Was looking for some good horror movies stumbled upon Sinister and it wasn't really scary tbh but still a good movie, didn't like the ending though.

7/10

Anyone got some suggestion for some really good and scary horror movies. Nothing is seeming to scare me since I watched The Ring.

Any movie by Mike Flanagan should do the trick. For TV shows he also created the haunting of hill house which is worth watching, best show of 2018

Sounds good I've seen Ouija: Origin of Evil by him and it was fantastic. I'll probably watch Oculus next.

Interestingly Vince Meekman supported Mike on the Oculus movie, wwe studios were involved but I still haven't seen this, it had great reviews though
