Double Indemnity on TCM last night. A remarkably modern thriller for 1944, highly influential and arguably the first example of American film noir.

Watched The Founder.

It is about history of McDonald's restaurant. Pretty informative.

Giving it B-.

Green Room 8/10. Some of the best use of violence in cinema I’ve seen in recent times

Ne Zha, Chinese animation movie.. it's simply brilliant.. Now waiting for its sequel..

Watched Mine 9.

There was no proper character development and the movie was too short (about 90 minutes).

It has a good story but it could've been better.

Giving it B-.

Brian Banks

The inspirational true story of Brian Banks, an All-American high school football star committed to USC who finds his life upended when he is wrongly convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Despite lack of evidence, Banks is railroaded through a broken justice system and sentenced to a decade of prison.

Excellent film. 8/10.

Bruv you rate movies like Spider-Man homecoming 9/10 and a proper movie like BlacKkKlansman B+

I don't think I gave Spider-Man 9/10. I gave Infinity War 9/10.

BlacKkKlansman was alright but acting was kind of average.

Bollywood movie Hitchki.

10/10 for Rani Mukherji’s acting.

Movie was interesting in parts. 6/10

Watched Bullet Head.

Pretty interesting movie. It is a movie that shows how an abused dog finally takes revenge.

Giving it B+.

Watched Michael Bay’s The Rock and surprisingly enjoyed it quite a bit. 7/10

Haunt (4.5/10)

Trial by Fire

The tragic and controversial story of Cameron Todd Willingham, who was executed in Texas for being wrongly convicted of killing his three children.

Excellent film. Definitely worth a watch.

8/10

Miracle in Cell No 7

The Turkish film tells the story of the relationship between a young girl called Ova and her dad Memo, who has a cognitive disorder. The pair live happily until Memo is wrongly accused of killing a high-ranking military official's daughter.

Lovely film. Available on Netflix

8.5/10

Why Don’t You Just Die! (Russia)

Blood soaked dark comedy. This movie is absolutely nuts. Highly enjoyable.

Blood Simple. 7.5/10. It’s raw and you can tell that the Coen Brothers haven’t perfected their formula yet the way we see in films like Fargo. But the good parts are really good

Murder to Mercy: The Cyntoia Brown Story

After 16-year-old Cyntoia Brown is sentenced to life in prison, questions about her past, physiology and the law itself call her guilt into question.

Very interesting. Worth a watch.

7/10

Rewatched Parinda - probably the best hindi movie of 1980s.

many praise Nana for other movies but this movie was his best performance!

He got #metooed so not politically correct 😁

But can we appreciate their old movies and stuff I don't know, I personally avoid but some are really hard to resist 😅

After all the hype, it wasn't as great as I expected it to be.

Some good action and fight scenes only really.

Problem is if it’s just fighting you want to see then watch a boxing or UFC match.
This had an extremely poor story line, poor script and very poor acting...

It was like a Rambo wannabe but extremely poorly made.
Only reason I sat through it was because of the wife and daughter, who don’t normally like these types of film, but insisted on watching all of it because of Chris Hemsworth

Den of Thieves.

LOL!

It took me about 9 months to reach 100 movies. That's like 11 movies per month.

One Cut Of The Dead

Probably the most unique take on the zombie genre...very entertaining. At first I thought the first 20 or so mins are nothing special...then the twists kick in.

9/10

The Departed (2006) - 9/10

Loved this movie, a Scorsese film with an absolutely stacked cast, even won Best Picture that year if I'm not mistaken. One of the best cop movies I've seen, love the parallel between the storylines of Damon and diCaprio. Definitely recommend it.

Watched Escape from Alcatraz on netflix
TBH ,after watching shawshank and prison break you can't like this movie.
7/10;

Goodfellas
Its an all time great movie and so the expectations were very high but i was disappointed.I havent liked a single hollywood gangster flick, maybe its not my cup of tea.

Great movie

Triple 9.

It was alright. Not a masterpiece but watchable.

A bit too dramatic at times.

I give it B-.

I’ve recorded Sholay....
Now I just have to get my teenagers to sit down with us for 4 hours

The Battleship Potemkin.

I can see why it is so highly rated. Banned for decades in many countries. The massacre on the Odessa Steps has extraordinary power nearly a century later.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

One of the most unusual movies I have seen in my life. I quite liked it though.

I give it A+.

It comes at night. (8/10) I liked it quite a bit. Don’t understand why it’s not rated higher.

The French Connection. (8.5/10) Some of the best chase scenes in cinema history

The Town (2010) - 8/10

Starred and directed by Ben Affleck, which after watching Argo I was excited to see. Didn't let me down, fantastic script.

Alita.

There was not a single moment in the movie where i was bored.

If this movie doesn't get full marks, then no movie ever will.

10/10

Dangerous Lies.

It wasn't that good. Acting was quite average at times.

I give it C-.

Thappad 8/10 excellent movie, the power of good writing ,directing and acting.

Anubhav Sinha such a tremendous 180 turn in his career, making good movies quickyabove that.

Citizen X - true story about Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo. One of the best serial killer movie- you wouldn’t think that this was made for TV.

Richard Jewell.

During the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, security guard Richard Jewell discovers a suspicious backpack under a bench in Centennial Park. With little time to spare, he helps to evacuate the area until the incendiary device inside the bag explodes. Hailed as a hero who saved lives, Jewell's own life starts to unravel when the FBI names him the prime suspect in the bombing.

Very interesting film.

8/10

Aftermath.

True story about Roman, a construction foreman, loses his wife and daughter in a devastating plane crash. He blames the air traffic controller, Jake Bonanos, who also struggles with the guilt of his mistake.

Not bad 6/10
