2nd one was the funniest, IMO...

I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey recently. I must say that the concept, the plot (whatever there was) and everything else was pretty good and I liked it a lot. But what I hated so much was the exceptionally long sequences they had. The first 10 minutes of the monkeys. Then the next 15 minutes of the spaceship docking. It was a little too much for my patience. I had to fast forward through most of it. 25 minutes before the first line of dialog, and another 15 minutes without dialog all the way in the end. The movie seemed lacking. Mixed review from me.

I loved the monkey sequence!

Saw A History of Viloence last night. a good one
This man in a small town kills two men who come to rob his diner. these two were also involved in other murders. he becomes famous and is on TV. then the mob comes in looking for him and the hero man isn't who he pretends to be in the small town.

saw Pirates 3, the other day. I thought it was all good apart from Keira Knightley, who looked out of her depth alongside actors like Depp and Bloom.

watched 'apocalypse now' a few hours ago, awesome movie. I've had it on DVD for ages but only watched it for the first time today and it was really good

I watched Schindler's List and The Pianist for the first time this week. Two brilliant movies I must say. You get the feeling the Jews put their hearts into making these movies that good because it means so much to them.

Saw "Next" recently. It was a decent movie for the most part. Although I hate Nicholas Cage's acting. However the ending was really bad. They should have never ended the movie like that! That ending brought the movie down a lot which was otherwise a decent movie.

I don't remember what I saw last, but looking forward to seeing Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer and Evan Almighty this weekend.

Is Evan Almighty meant to be like Bruce Almighty?
I think so. Same director (or creator) and has Morgan Freeman. Steve Carell (instead of John Carrey)

Volver directed by Pedro Almodovar.
Spanish film with Penelope Cruz in.I enjoyed it.
I agree with the poster that said about Amelie .It is a very good film. :11:

I watched Blood Diamond last night - thoroughly enjoyed it, fantastic film.

i watched jhoom barabar jhoom down the cinemas last wednesday. Absolute crap film, dont recommend it at all

Saw Mr and Mrs.Smith today, a good movie to pass time and of course - any movie with Angelina Jolie is worth a watch! :19:

Along Came a Spider - Top film, I recommend it if your a fan of detective thrillers

Saw Transformers a couple of hours ago. I had my reservations about it with Michael Bay and Spielberg coming together and potentially wrecking a childhood favourite cartoon but my fears were unwarranted. It had a few cheesy moments like when the main character told his love interest that 'theres more than meets the eye' but apart from that it worked brilliantly. The lighthearted moments where the jokes were thrown in got the right reaction from the audience and the battle scene with the Autobots and the Decepticons was something to behold. Great special effects and action. One of the better Summer Blockbusters I've seen in a while - probably the best since Batman Begins!

Hot Fuzz!

Thanks to Kashif who turned up with the DVD then fell asleep! Watched it on Saturday night/morning and laughed all the way through.

Excellent film - funny - and professionally put together with 10/10 for production values.

Watch it! And I never recommend any films!

Yeah, Hot Fuzz was excellent. Saw it a couple of weeks ago - a great laugh.

Transformers was probably the first one I remember that a whole bunch of us went to and all came out with a positive opinion.

The Departed - Great movie, recommend it to everyone! Matt Damon plays his character so well.

And I watched bits of Godfather II aswell yesterday, everyone should watch the two Godfather movies.

1408. It was quite good, but Samuel Jackson's role was really minor which kind of turned me off a bit.

watched a couple of indian flicks yesterday... Metro and Shootout at Lokhandwala... recommend the later to eveyone.. it's a very well-made movie , much different from the typical bollywood fare in terms of treatment. Also boasts of great perfromances from the lead actors.

watched 1st half of The Departed then the CD got stuck :12: ....very good movie.

Thats why torrents are so useful gentlemen - it won't get stuck if you download it! ;-)

Accepted. Great movie and the girl isn't bad either!! :P

You talking about that girl in The departed??? She must be atleast dubble your age.....

I havent seen it but most of the people who I know who have said it was pretty crap.

I loved Transformers so much I saw it again :D
So much to love about it. Childhood memories, Megatron wrecking havok, Starscream's battle with the F22s, the decepticon in the US base in Iraq, Optimus Prime and Bonecrusher's battle on the freeway and flyovers, Optimus Prime's voice - the way he said "Autobots, roll out" - makes me feel like a little girl :))
Speaking of girls - the chick in it was pretty damn fine too.

Yesterday while talking about it I missed something at the end during the credits which pretty much confirmed this wont be a lone movie (funny enough, the people who I saw it with missed it)

Edit, forgot to mention it also had the new Smashing Pumpkins track in the movie. One more reason

No, I'm talking about Blake Lively. She's 20 years old.

Sicko

Liked it a lot, will definitely recommend it. Every American should watch this movie regardless of how you feel about Michael Moore. It addresses a very important issue. And all those Canadians and British folks should also watch it so that they stop complaining about their health care systems and appreciate what they have.

I found out that Transformers isnt coming out in the UK for a month after it came out here. Sucked in. You could download it but it is one of those cinema movies. I do have a feeling I may end up overblowing peoples expectations of it, cause I went in thinking it would be rubbish

im going to watch apne later, but wanted to watch awarapan because some of it was filmed in lahore and all songs are by pakistanis. Reviews for the film are quite good aswell.
Ill watch awarapan in next couple of weeks, hopefully apne is a good film though.

Yeah i would also like to watch these two movies... esp Awarapan, since i've heard it's one of the best movies to have come out of bollywood in recent years and Emraan Hashmi has delivered an award-worthy performance..
