Rambo

Found it to be pretty disturbing to be honest, enjoyable in parts but though OTT and gung ho, some of the behaviour from the Burmese army was believable ie. ruthlessness, treatment of women/child prisoners.

The 80's versions were made for kids it now seems.

2001 Space Odessy. What a great Sci Fi movie. I'll give it 8/10.

Stay Alive. No substance and lacked a common sense. I'll give it 4/10. But good when you want to watch a crappy horror.

saw quite a few recently:

Babylon AD - typical retarded Vin Diesel movie, wish I hadn't seen it

Quarantine - amaaaaazing!

Body of Lies - pretty good, to be expected with such a great cast

:)))

Rambo was sickkkkkk but i loved it!!! wanted more burmese army closeups.. taking them out stealth mode..

John Rambo was a bit tame i thought.. he didnt have his trademark RED hankie on his head :(

The ending, where he goes to the Rambo Ranch was sad... but hopefully they'll make another one soon!! :gul

Here's a video which has fond memories http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urNE7toTRBQ

Watch the original Spanish version, far superior...its titled [.rec]

Knowing

I was surprised i actually liked it since im not a fan of Nick cage

the crash scenes in there were jaw dropping

8/10

Have been to the movies a few time over the long weekend ...

Marley & Me ... Movie about a couple (Owen Wilson and Jeniffer Aniston) and the life of their dog. A normal comedy, but it reminded me a lot about dogs in my past! I would give it a 7.5/10.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ... this backward movie has been mentioned elsewhere. I found it way too long and was getting bored at the end. Will say that it had good visual effects and a good story line etc. I would give it a 7/10.

Fast & Furious ... For once I get to see a movie a week after it is released in the USA! 4th of the movies, but is set between the 2nd and 3rd. Anyway if you enjoyed the first two, you will love this one. It is good see everyone back from the original, especially Vin Diesel etc. I'll give it an 8/10 for old times sake as I have enjoyed all 4.

We watched a film called The Children.

British horror flick which had a crazy story line, but was not for the fainthearted. Some really brutal scenes in it - 6/10

thanks for the heads up mate, will definitely watch it

Fast & Furious - not enough action

Chinatown, confusing movie as it is, give it 7/10.

Kingdom of Heaven, very well told and directed, unbiased, gets 8.5/10.

The Knowing 8/10

End was rubbish due to my gf leaving me..lol and also the film at the end ruined it, reminded me of Adam and Eva but start and middle was very good

I didn't like Quarantine too much, I think I've seen too many unknown mystery virus-cum-zombie creature type films.

It was just another resident evil/28 days later/dawn of the dead etc film in a different environment.

It had a bit of cloverfield theme, which made it slightly different. But not really more than 7/10 for me.

Was that The Knowing? the end reminded me of adam n eve as well. Me and a mate couldn't decide whether they were angels or aliens at the end.

Also saw 'He's just not that into you' which was quite good, it is a chick flick but I think guys should watch it to see how they're portrayed!

Yes it was the knowing, didn't pick the film, just watched :)

Watched a film called Pride and Glory starring Colin Farrell and Ed Norton.

Its about corrupt New York cops - average stuff 5/10

Crash- Beutifully portrayed story and everything really liked it. Very different from today's '' usual ''. 8/10

"Rock on" and "Luck by chance"; both excellent Bollywood flicks and Farhan Akhtar is fast becoming one of my favorite Indian actors.

Watched a horror film called something like - The Haunting in Connecticut.

Decent flick based on real events - some pretty scary scenes in it, rather spoilt by Mrs Saj's continuous chatter :)

7/10

"CORALINE" - in 3D

Animated film - one for the kids really. 1st full 3D film Ive seen in the cinema.

Really enjoyed it. And a wise move, I might have ended up having to watch Barca v Chelsea!

Due for release May 8th [UK]

Just watch DOUBT, not very impresses but very good acting by Meryl Streep and Phillip Seymor Huffman. Also saw 7 POUNDS last week as well. Pretty ok movie. One can watch both movies at least once.

Rock On, yeh hain masti ka ishara ...... :113:

Wolverine bootleg version leaked on the web. It had some unfinished graphics but overall the movie is good. Not as good as the original XMen though.

Black Hawk Down - WOW !!! (and no, I dont care how much of it was actually true, or how many events were left out)

Saving Private Ryan - WOW !!!

I watched Black Hawk Down in better quality (on TV) so I liked it a little more, plus there was action all the time, but having said that the WWII scenes in Saving Private Ryan were top class.

X-Men Origins... Wolverine

Fantastic, if you watched x-men and other marvel stuff when you was a kid, which i did.

One of me best movies, along with Dark Night and Die Hard 4.

You really liked it that much? I thought it was terrible!! the plot was all over the place and the other mutants were too lame. The boxing scene was ridiculous! this is supposed to be wolverine :)))

6/10 only because i liked wolverine vs victor... other than that it was 3/10 for me.

Wolverine wasnt bad...6.5/10 for me

yea it had action and fighting, but the plot wasnt all that... story was not that great to be honest

The Dark Knight is a legendary movie, Die Hard 4 isnt, Wolverine isnt either

Gonna catch Star Trek tonight. only a few hours away for me here. Cant wait.

I am sure its going to be awesome!

Star Trek was awesome, eventhough im not a fan of the series, the movie was gooood

We watched a film called Knowing starring Nicolas Cage. It started quite well but then went a bit weird when Aliens started to appear from the sky.

Some really good special effects though.

5/10

Star Trek 6/10 - Had all the makings of a good move except the plot was really far fetched .. almost borderline ridiculous.

I remember watching that. One kickass movie. It wasn't just Akhtar but Arjun Rampal too driving it.

Luckbychance was alright, that lightskinned chick was kind of annoying to watch.

Angels & Demons - enjoyable, MUCH better than the Da Vinci Code

Seriously ?

The Da Vinci Code was down right brilliant.

I didn't think it could be topped.

I thought DVC was a terrible movie...did not capture any of the thrill and suspense of the book...it was more like a checklist of what appeared in the book, and IMO lacked sincerity

I saw the last Bond movie last night. Forgot the name. I just can't pay much attention to movies with too much fast moving action or loud music. Saw about 20 minutes of it and then rolled over and probably fell asleep 5 minutes later. I will try to finish it next weekend. Old Bond movies (like from 60s) were much better

seen both movies da vinci code and angels and demons and read the da dvinci code book as well. I dont know why i did it though because neither the books or the movies do anything for me.

Watch Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye and Dev D. The actor is amazing even though the movie is averages

That was a very funny film:))!

Koyla? propa dum film....great songs though!!!
Funny how sRK was a mute, but was singing in all the songs.... classic bollywood

i watched JUST MARRIED....indian film with fardeen and esha -Deol..... funny in bits but mostly crap
(as u can guess its about these 2 just being hitched and its an arranged marriage, so none know of the other, their likes dislikes etc etc....)

We watched Night at the Museum 2 last night.

I didnt think it was as good as the first one. Some really good special effects and new characters, but I didnt find it that funny to be honest.

Watched Valkyrie. Good movie if you're into history and WW2. Very interesting that there were 15 known attempts on Hitler - he survived all of them with what can only be called sheer dumb luck.

yesterday I saw
"Koshish" 0n youtube (starring Sanjeev Kumar and Jiya Bhaduri) old bollywood movie. good one so search for it
American History X - Ed Norton - good movie too

Bought three movies today - Milk, What Just Happened and Crash. Will provide my reviews when I see them which might be a 1-4 weeks so sit tight

Just watched The Hangover - it was brilliant, cudnt stop laughing. Its been a while since i have seen a decent comedy, im so glad i watched this because it was well funny. The Alan character in it was immense

9/10

Just saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

It had a very interesting, if not entirely original premise; but for me it was a bit of a letdown. The movie lingered on at a pace akin to a Salman Butt 20\20 innings at 2 hours and 45 minutes, whilst also having a bit of a stale ending.

6.5\10

I watched that too, i liked it but it wasn't as good as first one for sure.

Next one i would like to watch is "land of the lost"

We watched a really good horror film called Drag me to Hell. Definitely one for horror film fans.

Also watched Employee of the Month which was quite funny.

The Message (1976)

Simply the best film I have ever seen:14:!!!!!

The International - enjoyed, they really should make more of these kind of movies

Confessions of a Shopaholic - typical RomCom

Watched "12 Angry Men (The 1957 version)." a couple of months ago.

One of the best films I've ever seen - alongside "Blazing Saddles", of course.

Transformers 2: on the negative, it's noisy, over-long and soporific. Mechatronics' effects are awesome

Seriously?

I thought it was a terrible film.

On a side note, did you know that the bank in the movie, the IBCC or what ever, what originally started from Karachi Pakistan?

lol yea I know the BCCI...my dad used to hold our money there back in the day

it wasn't a great film per se but I enjoy these kind of movies and it's been a while since they made them

Land of the lost

was okay, not the best movie tbh...Chukkah was funny in it though

5/10

See I told you, you guys are obsessed with BCCI. :P

Watched Terminator Salvation the other day. Wasn't sure what to expect, wouldn't have been surprised if it was awful, but it wasn't so bad. Some cheesy moments but some good action as well.

6.75/10

Gonna watch Angels and Demons tonight - looking forward to it. I preferred the A+D book to DVC book so reckon the film should be better

Watched Angels and Demons last night - it was a decent film, the ending dragged a bit. I preferred DVC film to this. Tom Hanks plays the role of Robert Langdon very well BUT Ewan McGregor's acting was very amatuerish

this new transformers this fiml was long 2.5 hours but we got free popcorn =D, and I liked the film

Transformers 2. It was markedly worse than the first one as far as any semblance of plot goes (though the first was not much to write home about in this respect either.

The CGI was nice and it was definitely alright to watch once. Not something that I will watch again though.

Public Enemies comes out tomorrow though and I cannot wait to watch it. Michael Mann can do no wrong :)
