'Aakrosh' 2010 (starring Akshay Khanna, Ajay Devgan, Paresh Rawal Bipasha Basu)

Brilliant work by the leading actors and the rest of it to make an amazing film such as this:14:!!! It is based upon the honour killings that take place in name of religion, caste, culture etc. which shows the world has a lot left to be solved.

My ratings:

9/10

Saw "Watchmen" after my knave friend recommended it. Man what a horrific movie and I though it was only comic. The only good character was that Cocroach guy....and less said about Dr. Manhattan the better!

'Yeshwant' 1998 (starring Nana Patekar, Madhu, Atul Agnihotri)

Was a below average film which could been implimented a lot better than it was.

Just watched Mad Max again, been awhile! If you have not see mad max you have not seen a great early movie!!!!

'Hadd Kardi Aapne' 2000 (Govinda, Rani Mukherjee, Satish Kaushik, Paresh Rawal,, Johnny Lever)

The comedy was okay but was still a below average film.

'Sandwich' 2006 (Govina, Raveena Tandon, Mahima Choudhary)

I enjoyed watching it and it was a very different film. The two sons of Govinda rocked:19:!

I think we need a separate movie thread.

It can be called "What was the last crappy (i.e. Bollywood) film DHONI183 watched?"

:yk

Half the movies he lists are ones I never have even heard of.

And I thought I was a bollywood fan. :))

Rawal's recent form has been poor, ussey pehle he was watching some decent ones :kapil

Khata Meetha
Very very funny movie I was laughing so loud that my mom woke up, came from other room to ask what happened,Coudnt control myself and am not that much of laugh guy.
But could watch the end,DVD is stuck,Will watch it tomorrow by exchanging.
It about the thekedar system and corruption in it.

Watched City of God. Dint like it. Though it has 8.8 at IMDB, it didnt appeal to me one bit. Filled with violence. Drugs. Killings. All for nothing with kids as the main protagonists. Disturbing Movie.

what a retarded film, made the HUGE mistake of watching it at the cinema.

walked out at the interval.

Watched The Town, was a good movie, the acting was pretty good and the ending even better.

Ben Affleck is a good actor but lacks charm, Jason Statham could have done a better job.
Jeremy Renner who also starred in multiple academy award winning The Hurt Locker is probably the next big thing, this guy is a top actor and the way he adjusts to his role is admirable.
Jon Hamm the FBI agent despite being the good guy is hateable because of the dirty games he play to track down the convicts.

Overall a good Bank robbery movie. Crime movie fans must watch this one, but if you have watched public enemies & the bank job you might not like this one much.
My rating; 7/10

Addressed to all:
Thing is that I have watched most of the good films, now I watch those only to spend my time. I am a lot less online nowadays and therefore spend most of my time watching films etc. Otherwise the taste is still going fine, I assure you of that;-).

'Khullam Khulla Pyar Karein' (starring Govinda, Preity Zinta, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, Johnny Lever)

Apart from the comedy contained in the latter half of it, it was all meaningless really.

'Agneepath' 1990 (starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Neelam, Danny Dezongpa)

Heard a lot about this film (and news of its remake starring Hrithik Roshan got me more excited) but wasn´t quite up to my expectations. However, Amitabh Bachchan was the mainstay of it and even his acting was......

Last watched: To kill a Mocking Bird.

Verdict: one of the very best Hollywood films ever.

Watched the French movie a Prophet which I really enjoyed...watched a few in the last week and have to say Narc with Ray Liotta and Jason Patric is a brilliant movie...seriously underrated...if your a fan of something like the Wire then you will really appreciate the performances in this movie...

'Dus' 2005 (starring Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed Khan, Sunil Shetty, Pankaj Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty)

A senseless, boring multi-starrer it was:boom:!!!

'Thakshak' 1999 (Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Rahul Bose, Amrish Puri)

Was an average film but went at a very slow pace which made it quite painful:22:.......

sleepless in seatle. girl's film. They will like it.

Get him to the Greek.

Wow awesome comedy after a long long time, Russell Brand was really funny in the movie, and his rock star costumes were really awesome. The soundtrack of the movie is really kool rock fans must not miss it.

9/10

Robin Hood

The Ridley Scott & Russell Crowe combo from The Gladiator didn't mix well this time around, an average adventure movie although the action was good but the story wasn't so great.

6/10

Mirrors (both parts) --- reasonable horror

Altitude--- decent for most part while ending revelations will make you think.. how could I spent my time waiting for this ***T end ?

The Karate Kid --- avoid it if you have seen the Miyagi one as if you have, u'll be disappointed. Otherwise its ok.

One of the rare times a movie has done justice to a great book.

Gregory Peck was absolutely outstanding.

Paranormal Activity 2- good as the first...District 9 (again)..awesome sci-fi.

Was good...better than I expected...

Also saw Hannibal Rising...absolutely terrible...a real waste of 2 hours...

Watched Inception last night! Left me a bit confused at the end - does anyone know whether he was still dreaming or back in reality??

'Deewangee' 2002 (Akshay Khanna, Ajay Devgan, Urmila Matondkar)

Was a good and entertaining film:19:. Ajay Devgan´s work was very, very impressive:14:.

do you only watch old indian movies ?

No, I also watch newly released as well.

I saw kick ass the other day -surprised how ultra-violent the film was but otherwise very enertaining and enjoyable.

Social Network

pretty good film and story... but lotta stuff made up to make it good.. not really the real the situation

Watched Golmaal 3 last night. Pretty bad, except a few scenes which were a bit funny. Wouldn't recommend it. 3/10

I'll probably watch it tomorrow or Saturday since I have watched the other two.

Reviews said it was good.

Let's see.

Le Grand Voyage

Moroccan-French father has his teenage son drive him 3,000 km from France to Makkah to go for Hajj. Son doesn't really want to go because he has a girlfriend, wants to finish high school, is not religious at all, etc.

Film's about the tension between the two on the trip and how they bond. Really, really good film. Would recommend it.

Watched Inception last night! Left me a bit confused at the end - does anyone know whether he was still dreaming or back in reality??

The answer could be any of the two with legitimate arguments for either side. I believe there will be a sequel which will explain it though

Remember Me - crap, crap movie. Don't bother wasting your time. I got tired of it and eventually ejected the CD before it even reached it's half stage.

I saw Scott Pilgrim vs the World. An interesting movie I must say, I liked the style it was made in so it could capture both the comic book feel and the video game feel that the comic was trying to go for. I think it was well made and funny at times, an overall enjoyable movie.

I also saw The Fountain recently and I am just in love with it. That movie was deep on so many levels and was visually very stunning. It has been a month or so since I saw it but I still find myself wondering about it.

'Race' 2008 (starring Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif)

'Johnny Gaddaar' 2007 (Neil Mukesh, Dharmendra, Rimi Sen)

'Family: Ties of Blood' 2006 (Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Bhoomika Chawla, Sushant Singh, Aryeman Ramsay)

All three were very, very good and interesting films:19:! Though the cast could have been a lot better in the last two films.

Action Replayy

For the first time, Akshay Kumar actually made me laugh like hell!

Some scenes are sooooo funny!

I still dont understand why Aishwarya decided to act in a movie like this! she usually stars in elegent roles and movies, this was not her cup of coffee! But still, adorable as always.:aali

Action Replayy - decent. Much better than Golmaal 3 for sure though. Akshay was brilliant. 7/10

How is rakhta charitra.Dhoni if you have seen update man

Last seen:

Duck soup
The ghost writer

Both are highly recommended.

'Damini - The Lightening' 1993 (starring Meenakshi Sheshadri, Rishi Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Amrish Puri)

Was a good film but with a few weaknesses. Sunny Deol, despite being in the film for the last 45 minutes or so, was a heart of the film. His voice can cause an earthquake to be honest.

How is rakhta charitra.Dhoni if you have seen update man

I haven´t even heard of it:20:.......
