Swiss version is good. I found the good copy of this film with English dubbing. I have also downloaded this English version but couldn't watch it because of same story :(
 
I watched A Nightmare on Elm Street again yesterday, in honor of Friday the 13th. Still one of the best horror films of all time. 9/10.
 
Watched an Indian movie "Shor in the City". Good attempt, looked different than typical Bollywood movies. Despite some flaws, worth watching.
 
Saw the cabin in the woods Thursday night. I would say it caught me off guard. Pretty good movie. 9.5-10/10. Worth a watch.
 
Roshan's latest film Agneepath - brilliant film, loved it. The songs are superb!

Houseful 2 - first half was great, but 2nd half of the film was just too boring, and confusing. There was no comedy at all. Decent film, nothing special.

Titanic 3D - felt different and unique to watch it in the cinema - however in terms of 3D, nothing special.

ending was lame though...they could've thrown in some surprise twists in the end especially with the characters who survived

very good horror though...things happened when u least expected it

Swedish. I've heard the English adaptation is pretty decent too.

I prefer the title of the original though, "Men who hate women", just sounds better than 'The girl with the dragon tattoo'. And now we present the long awaited sequel, 'The octogenarian with a butterfly tattoo where the sun don't shine' and sequel number two, 'Moulvi Ikram ul Haq, the man with no tattoos'.

Watched it the other night... 8/10. Acting wise it was brilliant and good adaptation of the novel too. Although I did fail to understand why was it named this when the main attention of the story was some other unknown girl and the central character was still Daniel Craig.

Planning to watch 'Warrior' tonight... heard very hyped reviews about it
 
Watched Vicky Donar....Have to say,,one heck of a laugh riot...especially for those who understand Punjabi...Story is about a Delhi Guy..who is a Sperm Donar.....
Special mention should go to Anu Kapoor as the fertility Doctor...
Ayushman and Yami were too good for their debuts...
Atleast 4 stars... MUST watch..
 
Those who have'nt watched Korean movie The Host- check it out tonight on Film4.

Excellent film .... I rate it higher than the Rocky franchise.
 
just saw the human centipede on tele, wow, that has to be without doubt one of the biggest let downs of all time, when it came out people were like its so gross, its so scary, how people walked out the cinema, yadayadayada...... the only thing horrific about this film was how inhumanely boring it was.

unfortunately saw it till the end wondering when does this get scary. without doubt one of the blandest and most illogical films ive ever seen.

watched Footloose last night... i dont know what the movie tried to achieve. Was it about the small town laws, or dance, or cowboys, or school life or the lead actress' hotness? and no idea what an actor of dennis quaid's caliber was doing in it :facepalm:
 
Sherlock Holmes 2- 7/10 , its all Robert Downey Jr,great actor!

Contraband- 7/10 another Mark Whalberg, crook movie, where he pulls off the impossible with a trusted team of specialists. Good solid action movie.

Last weekeend watched ...

American Pie Reunion ... 7. For old times sake was a good laugh and was nice to see the original cast that were in the first few. Over the years I think I have seen every single one that came out at the cinema or on DVD.

The Hunger Games ... 9.5/10. Recommend that you read the triology of books as well. After been dragged to all the Twilight and Harry Potter movies by my wife, this was finally a decent movie.

Some other movies I rented when I was on leave last week ...

Real Steel ... 8/10 ... quite a cool movie
Abduction ... 8/10 ... lotsa action
Warrior ... 9/10 ... nothing beats MMA and some family love :)

Yeah saw it...very good movie....loved it. And Movie was very clean and maturely dealt with in spite of the theme... glad ayushman is getting the success he deserves. Good start for John Abraham's production house too. Fun film..Pani Da rang is the best song at the moment.

The song pani da rang is written,composed and sung by ayshman himself.Listened it a 100 times.
The acting of anu kapoor in the movie was awesome.

watched Vicky Donor- surprising a good movie
the song "rum whiskey" is not bad either
essence and accent of delhi catched perfectly
annu kapoor is awesome
 
'Housefull' 2

There were occasional funny moments but a pathetic film overall. Surely Bollywood film-makers can do better than making comedy films making fun of people with disabilities and wheelchair-bound/handicap persons:boom:.

1/10 for, as I said above, occasional funny scenes.

yaa...Annu Kapoor was one of highlights...used to watch his anthakshari show all the time as a kid...LEGEND!!!..suprised he does not do many movies..last I saw him was in Aitraaz back in 03 I think...
 
Watched the ending of Angel Heart. Gave me goosebumps and made my hair stand up on end.

Saw Avenger Assemble.

Enjoyed it, does what is says on the cover i.e. a good summer action blockbuster. The best thing is there is continuous humor, no dull moments.

Tip: don't leave when the end credits roll, stay till the end.
 
Mirror Mirror - Full time family movie geared towards the kids.

From an adult's perspective - 5/10
 
Shame - 6/10 - decent film, nothing ground breaking though. kind of like an american psycho lite with an annoying sister thrown into the character mix. Story revolves around a sex addict, but could have been addicted to anything really and dont think the film would have changed too much.

Moneyball - 7/10 - again decent film, however my lack of baseball knowledge allowed me to enjoy it more, knowing how hollywood creates films "based on real life events" it pbly wasnt very accurate. acting was acceptable, nothing special, decent watch nonetheless.

Defnitely brings back memories, I couldn't get enough of these 'gangster' films in my late teen years lol.
 
lol @ ppers who watch Bollywood don't rate it and then spend another 3 hours watching some more.

InTime 8/10 - A unique story line, Timberlake is a very good actor.

A Very Under Rated Bollywood movie.......Loved it.

Watch 'Life in a... Metro' 2007. A very un-Bollywood-ish film, believe me (not quite similar to 'Udaan' 2010, the story-line I mean).

This being recommended by your colleague, take it seriously;-).

And yes, do not watch it with your family if possible:26:.

kahaani ( very good movie) pan singh tamor ( nice movie plus good acting by irfan) housefull 2 ( liked it because its a fun movie)

Brilliant movie. Nonstop action and a lot of unexpected humour.

Excellent action blockbuster, a very good story, special effects and hillarious banter between the Avengers.

Looking forward to a Cinema release of The Raid Redemption to make it an excellent first half of the year to action flicks.

And that part where Thor says 'he's adopted' when referring to loki, and that Shakespeare reference, lol. Some funny moments. Overall, a good movie. Although Captain America was lame.

I felt like watching Thor after watching Avengers which i absolutely loved. Thor was nice as well.; 8/10 Good actor

Agree on all counts. Loved the bit where the Hulk punched Thor out of the screen just for the sake of it!

I think you would like one called Sucker Punch, about a young woman in a Vermont madhouse in the 1950s, which turns into fantasy sequences with lots of girls and guns.
 
Avengers was awesome. it wasnt even ruined by the exceptionally annoying group of idiotic boys and girls sitting behind me and talking ALL THE TIME.

as was said in firefly, there is a SPECIAL HELL reserved for them.

the most epic moment for me was the long take showing each superhero fighting. hawkeye to black widow to hulk to thor to captain america to iron man apart from the puny Gods scene and "I AM LISTENING"?

whedon was the best choice to make this movie. #fireflyfanforlife

ps:anybody love the scene where that dude who was working on the computer looks around and minimizes his window and starts playing games on the computer lol?

Two films The devils backbone & Cinema Paradiso

Two very good films, CP is more of an epic, TDB a creepy mystery directed by Guillermo del Toro (Pans Labyrinth) Both are must watch for any fans of world cinema

Just watched 'The Grey'

must say it was a very good movie, very tense & gripping and the ending was epic! Inlcuding the last scene where Liam is shown laying down on the wolf!

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

Absolutely AMAZING film. Its a french movie with English Subs. I watch a lot of horror movies and violent movies but nothing has sent shivers down my spine in such a way as this movie did in parts. Stunning film and wonderfully shot.

Kaahani - quite nice but somehow feel cheated at climax. i would prefer it to be a really preganent common woman in the midst of all of it.

Titanic 3D - wife's orders

In A Better World - very interesting Danish movie. oscar winner 2011, best foreign language film

I liked 'Alien-1979' a lot.

The sequel just had a lot of action. Getting prepared for Prometheus now, hopefully it wont be the same old crap. Less guns, more aliens please :)
