Compliance- based on true events about a prank call. The film is disturbing but made me angry at the stupidity of the individuals involved.

a massive difference these two films (considering same director and main guy), conjuring was really good, scared me in some places. 8.5/10

has anyone watched the remake of oldboy? if so any good

Cojuring is well made movie. It is not all out scary one though.

Good screenplay does the trick :)

i watched it to thanks to you and haz.

i'd give Exam( 2009) 7/10, the film was let down by the ending it should have been more devious then than. Jonathon Nolan would have done a better job on the story.

The fact is that , there are quite a few movie in this genre. One room thrillers , people trapped.

Exam , concept is a bit different , that is where it scores.

Yasmin

A young Muslim woman living in Britain campaigns for the release of her immigrant husband from his detainment in a holding centre.

A realistic movie. A young pakistani women battling with her paper marriage with a cousin , waiting for him to get residence so that she is free. In between racial hatred thrown in.

6.5 / 10

Insidious 2

Had some good frights.

But the plot was very convoluted and tried doing too much. Horror flicks should just be linear events. But all in all an entertaining horror flick to watch with a group.

It was a fantastic movie and i loved the concept something which has not been done before surprisingly, just the finish could have been way better given how they built towards the climax which never lived up to expectations in my opinion going by the standards they set during the movie

There is a movie called Open Grave where a man wakes up in the wilderness, in a pit full of dead bodies, with no memory and must determine if the murderer is one of the strangers who rescued him, or if he himself is the killer.

Anyone seen this?

Sounds cray

New Hobbit film was quite a lot better than the first one. Still not quite the level LOTR reached,

Not yet.

Though sounds interesting !!!

Haha and you have already watched it.

Your expectations perhaps are very high. If this movie is better than the first part then surely it is very close to the level of LOTR.

I thought the first Hobbit movie was enjoyable but a pretty big step down from LOTR.

Bullet Raja - raja misra aka Saif turns into a political gangster :altaf because of unemployment and creates havoc among political mafia Sonakshi is just there to fill the heroine spot there is nothing foe her in the movie apart from a couple of songs. the film moved at a good pace otherwise one can get bored

Super 8

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Just watched The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug in IMAX.

Firstly got to say they have taken CGI to a completely different level altogether, some of the visual effects were insanely good.

But now onto the story and entertainment. I think the movie is slightly weaker than the first, I am a massive Tolkien fan, mainly because I live around the corner from the real world locations that Tolkien based his books on. But there is a distinct difference in terms of quality between this franchise and the LOTR franchise.

However if you see it independent of LOTR then it is an enjoyable movie.

Part 2 isn't funny as part 1 in my opinion, but there's a heck of a lot more fun and intense action sequences.

The dragon Smaug and the detail put on him is excellent. But my favourite character, Gandalf isn't given anywhere near the same screen time in this one.

I'd give the first one 8/10 and this one 7/10 and I am definitely going to see the one next year in Imax again.

The Hobbit 2- loved it! A marked improvement over Part 1. Throughly enjoyable thrill ride.

Schindlers List.

9.5/10. Brilliant movie, albeit a very disturbing one. You feel for the Jewish, what they would have gone through during that time, would have been awful.

Public Enemies(2009).. Downloaded it almost 4 years back but never got around to watching it. Only reason I ended up watching it today was that my hard disk was running out of space and this movie was taking up 13GB so I figured that if I'm deleting it after having it for all this time, might as well watch it. It sucked. Boring as hell, can put people on cocaine to sleep. 3/10

Insidious Chapter 2
7.5/10
Scarier than The Conjuring but less focused and highly derivative of Twin Peaks and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Not necessarily a bad thing though since the scares are good and the antagonist is scary despite a pitiable back story.. Some unintentional humour as well. I would say Wan is one of the new Masters of Horror.

PS: I cheered when Elise smashed the rocking horse on Parker Crane's mom. Man that woman had it coming...

Most likely gona watch Elysium 2day

i actually watched 2Guns yesterday, not actually interesting in action films as thr generally too hollywoodfied or trying to be clever in the plot.
But 2guns was very good,

o yeh watched RED-2 last week, enjoyed RED, especially due to John Malkovich- brilliant actor.

He's even better in RED2, but this was abit over the top in some scenes, anthony hopkins is great in this- typical his unique self

I liked both Insidious 2 and Conjuring. Just that The Conjuring was an overall better made film and Insidious 2 was a scarier film if it makes any sense lol.

It does make sense.

Conjuring screen play is very good. It takes the movie beyond the script even though the theme was not something that can be called hard core scary.

I watched Inglourious Basterds two night ago and then progressed to watch The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Part 2) at the cinema yesterday.

The former was an excellent film, although a little gory (the Swastika scene, which wasn't necessarily a negative). Unfortunately though, the film wasn't (even) loosely based upon true events, and as such Adolf Hitler and his cronies weren't actually killed in that manner.

Whereas the latter was a competent film, but undoubtedly lacking in some real depth or a strong 'wow factor', which is a little understandable considering it is used as to advance from the first film and bridge between the first and last two films. However, what is slightly confounding is how the producers of the film managed to procure three lengthy films out of a book which is only approximately 300 pages long.

^ havent seen it yet but the main reason is money. Warner Bros knows that a hobbit movie will make a billion regardless of how good it is. Intially it was ment to be 2 movies. In order to fill it up they are going over Tolkeins side notes and revision. He wrote the Hobbit then spent 20 years righting lord of the rings. In the Hobbit novel for example, gandalf dissapears a lot then comes back. The movie in order to make time shows us what he was doing at the time

Once upon a time in Mumbai Dobara

The story of Shoaib, an underworld don who came to power by killing his mentor and has extended his kingdom with the help of his best friend, Javed, and his former lover, Mumtaz. While visiting the area where he grew up, he meets Aslam, who becomes his protégé.

5/ 10

R...Rajkumar ok movie Shahid n Sonakshi looks a good couple some of the dialogues are catchy and lyrics were hilarious like Gandi Baat song Sonu Sood also did well and there was another actor Chacha Ji who came back in movies after a long hiatus

'Satya 2' (2013)

1. These "One ordinary man becoming the king of Mumbai" stories in Bollywood are now getting very boring.

2. It seemed as the actors were given extra payments to act badly, and the leading actor was so annoying. Very bad acting by him.

3. Swearing in the Bollywood films is becoming a norm which is pathetic and disturbing! Such dirty language!

4. Not a thing rhymes in the film.

I will give it a five percent rating!

Watched 'Zodiac' just recently and it was exciting till first 30 min but got boring after that. There was nothing in the movie that needed this film to be so long and that ending was pathetic. Why do you need Robert Downey Jr. in such a role? He is like Tony Stark in every movie, He was Tony Stark even in Sherlock Holmes

Zodiac ( 2007 ) ?

Jackpot

The worst movie i've watched for some time absolutely no story no songs no acting would be surprised if it reaches breakeven in terms of revenue had to forward at times 2/10

What was the last film you watched? ('Satya 2' 2013)

Was Ram Gopal verma the director?

Was. The ending suggested that there will be a sequel as well. To my surprise, it has a 62% rating on IMDB:O!

Puneet Singh Ratn, the leading actor, was horribly annoying! Spoke in a lower town, had a smile on his face throughout even if a bomb dropped at the place. It made things very annoying!

The Hobbit is going to be a trilogy?

Cabin in the woods ( 2012 )

Five teenagers head off for a weekend at a secluded cabin in the woods. They arrive to find they are quite isolated with no means of communicating with the outside world. When the cellar door flings itself open, they of course go down to investigate. They find an odd assortment of relics and curios but when one of the women, Dana, reads from a book she awakens a family of deadly zombie killers. There's far more going on however than meets the eye as the five campers are all under observation.

The movie promised a lot , but did not really do justice. The ending was childish. The acting was poor.

What was the last film you watched? ('Satya 2' 2013)

No , I have not . I do not intend to see also.

I have a list of movies already that are due to be seen :D

Good. Don´t.

I also make a list and there are many on it currently.

Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela

Ram and Leela, their love, lust and the drama afterwards. Modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet'.

As usual very colourful movie by Sanjay Leela. A visual delight. The acting is of good standard , dialogues good. The movie is a little boring in middle.

6.5 / 10

Any movie no matter what country it is from. I wanna watch full of suspense or where police investigation is involved in resolving murder mystery etc.

Headhunters.

Brilliant Danish movie- you will like it.

The Hangover Part 3.

Absolute garbage. Much worse than the previous 2. Storyline was weak with only a few funny moments.

3/10

evil-dead, didnt have any expectations about it, decent film- some scary scenes in it, as well as over the top gore.
7/10

7.75 hobbit 2. Great movie, this series should be more appreciated rather then comparing it to the LOTR which is unfair

Fracture

Wealthy, brilliant, and meticulous Ted Crawford, a structural engineer in Los Angeles, shoots his wife and entraps her lover. He signs a confession; at the arraignment, he asserts his rights to represent himself and asks the court to move immediately to trial. The prosecutor is Willy Beachum, a hotshot who's soon to join a fancy civil-law firm, told by everyone it's an open and shut case. Crawford sees Beachum's weakness, the hairline fracture of his character: Willy's a winner. The engineer sets in motion a clockwork crime with all the objects moving in ways he predicts.

A very solid movie. Good tight script, actors did well, has twists.

Not sure why it's being compared to prestige
It's more like taree zameen par meets the place beyond the pines

Way too psychonanalytical for an action thriller

Man Push Cart

A night in the life of a former Pakistani rock star who now sells coffee from his push cart on the streets of Manhattan.

A realistic movie. The story line is appealing , but somewhere direction lets it down. The script had more scope in it.

6/ 10

Memories of Murder (2003)

A Korean Crime, Drama and Murder Mystery. It's about a guy who kidnaps girls, rapes and kill them but who did that no one knows even detectives were unable to catch the killer. Based on true events occurred in 1986. Good movie

7/10
