Okay, thanks for the advice, going to use them.

This reminds me, leatherface58, did you finally watch ''les Revenants''?

Just wanted to warn you, the apes in the movie are not wearing any clothes so.......be careful.

Still manageable. When I visited the Frankfurter Zoo a few months ago, I made sure that I should just focus on the faces. I made eye contact with each animal all the time. A female ape even winked at me, I looked away.

You know i read this post first before seeing the poster's name and in my mind i just felt it must be dhoni183's post!!! I was right.

Hmmm.... I can also recognise the Indian trundlers by merely taking a look at the pitch map:nehra.

She wants you :)))

She wants you :)))

I am not going to get carried away based on your assumptions.... She seems to have been engaged already, if the orange peel wrapped around the arm is anything to go by.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014)

The son of director David Dhawan with the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt..... Not bad! I enjoyed it to the fullest and thought that it was quite good for a light-hearted comedy. Some scenes were hilarious. I liked it very much! Humpty, an emotional fool like yours sincerely:D.

One of the two friends of the hero, the one slightly shorter in height, was the funniest character in the film:))).

I really liked the fact that they showed that the other guy whom she had been engaged to didn´t have too many flaws either, thus going against the Bollywood tradition of mostly portraying the other guy as a villain. As it is, it´s wonderful that they showed in the film that love is not about how perfect or imperfect the person you love is, since it is after all an emotion based on things you can´t define.

Have you seen Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulhania??Went to see it this week and had a blast.I was not to excited about this but my friends dragged me along.Story is good and the lead pair is outstanding.A great blend of comedy and drama.

Thanks for recommending it, sir. As you can read above, I too had a blast and really enjoyed it!

Captain Phillips. I rather liked it. They described why the Somalis were forced to become pirates.

Thats the thing with these apes, they always go for the stronger, more attractive spouse. Dhoni I say go for it.

to the fans of The Godfather, why do you rate this movie so highly? I cannot make up my mind whether to watch it or not..

Maybe you are referring to Big Bad Wolves. It's a very dark and funny crime comedy. Not horror but the concept of a pedophile is scary for me atleast. A pretty good movie with an unexpected conclusion.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2309224/

Didn't like it, probably because I had raised my expectations. There was comedy yes, but no scene that would make one uncomfortable. Because of the comedy, you could not feel the pain when someone's neck is being sawed, or nails being plucked. The suspense was built, but then I got impatient with only 10 minutes in the movie left, and no plot twist to rescue the film.

You need to compensate me by recommending a proper whodunit.

I'll Follow You Down.

A son grows up without a dad, and travels back in time to save his time traveling father. But 80% of the movie deals with his struggles in deciding to leave his present day life and girl friend, in search of his father in a different time line. Disappointing movie for sci-fi fans like me. I expected to see some usual time traveling, but most of the movie was slow, with a grieving mother and a confused son struggling to come to terms with reality. Another boring movie that has left me disappointed.

'Humshakkals' (2014)

I watched it with zero expectations, hence was able to laugh at times.

Sajid Khan, the director, needs to understand that a comedy film is no annual festival. If you can´t think of a concept or ideas, leave it and wait longer. However, he keeps going on and on.....

What the hell was that lollipop bit:)))!

Divergent.

Good movie. Two major themes: 1) How society wants us to fit into pre defined roles. 2)How communities lose their humanity when it comes to them vs us.
I just wanted to watch a science fiction, but the theme of the movie was a bonus, one I could relate to.

I wanted to see this , but read bad reviews , thought it would be wastage of time .......

Though will see " kick " whatever the reviews are .:25:

CricketCartoons You have been watching too many films of late. Tone in it down a bit, brother. Give some other activities some time in life.

I would always advise people not to follow me and that, that they should rather be careful and selective when watching films. I am just a guy with nothing to do anyway:msd.

:) I couldn't enjoy much last year. Now making up for that and watching a movie a day. Movies, PP and my work from home.

You could easily have taunted me in return saying the same what I did, yet you didn´t. You seem like a nice guy:mv.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

A thoroughly enjoyable film thats well worth seeing. Decent story and characters although at times it can be predictable. At times you'll find yourself siding with the apes and at others with man. Some of the original cast from the 1970's are in the film as well which is nice. The apes themselves are fantastically created and the film itself could be considered a feat in digital creation.

That being said there's one character who is so damn hateful from the very start and everything he does is so obvious. You're just dying for him to be killed off from the very first time you see this character.

7.5/10

PS: leatherface58. You still havent reviewed "Fault in our Stars" :mv . You ended up loving didnt you :P. You've gone soft man!

Just watched The Dark Knight again.

Bloody brilliant. Heath Sledger's performance was something special we'll never get again. Great acting. Great action. Great music and I loved it.

9/10

It's sad the films get worse. Only the last film was decent in the whole series after the first one.

Yeah seems to got overkill..what do you think of the Saw II?? I was planning to watch it. Is it decent enough to give a try?

I do like romantic comedies too man. Moonrise Kingdom, 500 Days of Summer, 10 things I hate about you. I like good movies bro regardless of the genre though I favour horror and thrillers - the two genres I do not want my own life to belong to.

Cube didn't even have folks dying by traps apart from the first two victims. A very good film by Vincenzo Natali who even directed some Hannibal episodes.

Saw is an exceptionally smart film unsurprisingly by the master of horror, James Wan.

IMO, Saw I > III > II > VI > IV > V > VII with a pretty big difference between I and III.

It got tiring towards the end with Jigsaw proving to be insanely prepared with folks falling into his traps well after his death. Hoffman wasn't nearly as interesting as an adversary either.

Saw 1 was revolutionary. Not in terms of the story line (as it was heavily influenced by Se7en) but because it was made on a shoelace budget and raked in the cash. It help big Hollywood execs figure out that you don't need to blow the budget to make successful films.

I actually haven't seen any past Saw 2, and I only saw that out of curiosity. But nothing matched 1 as far as I've heard so I am glad I haven't tainted my image of the series by watching the rest.

I'd hate my life to belong to a romantic comedy tbh.

The Hunger Games Catching Fire - Unfamiliarity with past Hunger Games series could have been a reason, but I didn't find it worth the hype.

I wouldn't mind being in horror if I'm the bad guy. Thrillers can be unpredictable so no thanks. I wouldn't mind being the one character who suddenly turns Romcoms into seriously disturbing psychological horror films kind of like Billy Loomis in Scream except for the dying part.

Kick

This is story about a person who is born genius with multiple talents and excels in everything he does. But he is not satisfied as he is not getting the " Kick " in living normal life. He wants to live with thrills and adventures and excitement.

All in all you can say , this is a Salman Movie. A pure , unadulterated entertainer , with some very good light moments.

Jacqueline looks pretty and does okay. Mithun plays a good cameo . But Its One Man show ...... Bhaijaan special on Eid.

I expect the movie to cross 200 crore easily.

7 .5 / 10

'Dhishkiyaon' (2014)

I thought that it was pretty good. Quite good in fact. The film has mostly received negative reviews, but that could be down to the mere presence of Harman Baweja:)).

Kill-List-Poster-610x462.jpg

A british drama crossed with a crime thriller about a pair of assassins killing folks on a weird hit list crossed with a seriously bizarre final act which goes straight into horror territory. Good performances, some genuine suspense and a horrific torture/killing scene that ties a Gordian knot inside your stomach. But it's probably too slow sometimes and the first half hour drags. Still worth watching once for fans of horror and Ken Loach.

7/10

Not bad at all and the ending was a proper ***!

The Lego Movie 3D - Good fun, 8/10.

Hoping Jurassic park remake lives up to the expectations too.

Bollywoodians ke taste ko kya ho gaya hai aaj kal? There was a time they used to make good movies with very good music. Miss those Kumar Sanu days.

The Box - 6/10

A small wooden box arrives on the doorstep of a married couple, who know that opening it will grant them a million dollars and kill someone they don't know.

7.5/10

The 1959 Hammer Horror version.
A very good interpretation of the Holmes story. Peter Cushing is great as Holmes and Christopher Lee for once plays a completely nice guy which is good to see. I just love Hammer Horror and this is a fine example of that era. Also features a competent and astute Watson as opposed to the bumbling fool in some adaptations.

leatherface58 check out Rigor Mortis. Right up your alley.

Unknown (I) - 8/10

A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

great thriller with a very good ending as well. Liam Nieson made sure you don't miss a second of the movie. Worth a watch.

'kai po che' (2013)

Brilliant! What a film! A masterpiece!

May extremists all around the world be guided to a more tolerant and peaceful way. Amen.

I will give it 10 out of 10!

watched lots of movies on friday such as world trade centre all good films!

Lucy

Luc Besson's wildly outrageous foray into the sci-fi genre with influences from blaxploitation and Korean mafia movies. A simple story of a damsel in distress who turns into a super human genius freak and takes on her oppressors. Scarlett Johansen despite coming across as your average slightly mysterious "girl next door" has managed to develop a screen presence which if not totally engrossing but will at least pique ones interest. Remember "Match Point".

Still wonder about this fascination of moviegoers with seeing chicks kicking some you know what. I'm not sure where it comes from or what it means psychologically but this obsession has been exploited by several well known directors....QT in recent times with Kill Bill and Natural Born Killers by Oliver Stone among others. Even Pakistani and Indian film makers have delved in this genre. It's quite exhilarating to be honest, not sure if it appeals to a feminist inside all of us or we just like "bad girls". Remember people use to always line up to watch some Aunty make mince meat out of some guy on the street or market back home. I guess its more to do with seeing the humiliation of men being served a taste of their own medicine at the hands of a traditionally meek and obedient woman that it just makes for great entertainment. Whatever it is, it's pure fun and more movies like this should be made all over the world.

Forgot that Luc also made "The Fifth Element" so Lucy is not his first sci-fi flick. I always remember him for "The Professional" so totally forgot about that.

Saw this on a plane last year. Was one of the few Indian movies I have seen over the years. Enjoyed it.

We may like to see bad girls but they still have be outrageously good looking while doing whatever they do, otherwise it ain't appealing to the masses.

Not necessarily. I equally enjoyed Seema Biswas in "Bandit Queen".
