Star Cast -

Amrish Puri
Kulbhushan Kharbanda
Om Puri
Raj Babbar
Mehar Mittal

'Jatt and Juliet 2' (2013)

Quite an average sequel to the brilliant film that was in 2012. Sequels can sometimes leave a bad taste in mouth. By the way, I simply hated that Shampi guy´s character and his father´s in both films. So annoying! Could have easily saved 15-20 minutes of the length in both of them.

The Stonehearst Asylum 8/10

Top movie very engaging and good story with a twist at the end :14:

Stendhal-Syndrome-1996.jpg

6/10

A brilliant first 30 and last 30 minutes are offset by a rather drab hour. This one does have some truly disturbing rape scenes so viewer discretion is advised. It's shocking that Dario directed a rape scene featuring his daughter. Asia gives a brave performance. Kretschmann is the real star. Every time he pops up, the movie picks up.

Flavours

Written and directed by Raj Nidimoru, this romantic comedy follows the love lives of several Indians who have immigrated to America.

Flavors centers around the cross-cultural wedding between American WASP Jenni (Jicky Schnee) and Rad (Anupam Mittal), whose

Indian parents (longtime Bollywood regulars Anjan Srivastava and Bharati Achreker) are forced to negotiate a middle ground between

traditional Indian culture and the culture shock induced by their blonde-haired future daughter-in-law. Meanwhile, immigrant housewife

Sangita (Sireesha Katragadda) is given a reprieve from her lonely existence when her recently laid-off husband spends his days at

home with her. Rounding out the film are Kartik (Reef Karim) and Racha (Pooja Kumar), a couple whose lives on opposite sides of the

country have left them dependent on electronic means of communication.

Carnage - Witty and subtile conversational movie by Polanski. Really liked it and found myself lauging quite a few times.

Action Jackson 2/10 :facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:
another Movie By Ajay No story Bakwas..give 2 marks b/c of Yami Gutam

'Ankhon Dekhi' (2013)

An excellent performance by Sanjay Mishra in an otherwise rubbish film. So purposeless!

'Jatt James Bond' (2014)

All those comedy and fun films aside, this is possibly the best Punjabi film that I have watched. An excellent film in my opinion! What a name to go with it all as well!

You seem to watch too many Punjabi films.

The names of the film sound creepy tbh. Jatt James Bond, Jatt and Juilet lol

Righteous Kill

Two veteran New York City detectives work on a case of serial executions of criminals who escaped justice.

Robert Niro and Al Pacino were good as usual. Good script , can hold on the attention of the viewer , most of the time.

The above film was possibly the last from their industry on the list that I had compiled. I would be very honest, I was least interested in them and was expected Punjabi films to be pointless, but after a few I became a fan of Gippy Grewal and thought of going through his most famous films, and then on the way I also happened to have liked Diljit Dosanjh as well and watched a couple of his as well. Also liked their director Smeep Kang, who primarily makes comedy films. However, what I liked the most is that the language, the culture, scenes from the fields etc. remind me of Pakistan´s Punjabi and hence Pakistan itself. So that kind of attracted me a great deal.

The names do sound weird, I myself notice this, but you forget that if you end up liking a film itself. Besides, the names do make sense at times, as weird as they may sound, like in the case of 'Jatt James Bond':D.

Million Dollar Arm. The film made my eyes sweat several times :noori

What a strange choice of smiley to go with the revelation that it made you emotional!

pizza ( bollywood 2014) . not a bad film. it was a nice change from recent so called comidies.

The Guest : 9/10 : Great film, Dan stevens was brilliant in this movie. its about an ex marine that visits a family whose son died recently in war

You should not have watched that.

Yep !!!! wasted my time

What kind of movie did you make ME WATCH ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!:bumble2:noori. The movie was perfect till the first gun purchasing scene took place. From there on it was messed up as hell.

6/10

A very sleazy Italian Exorcist knock-off. Loads of green goo and a demon with an extremely dirty mouth. Oh and wholesome themes like incest and bestiality. Completely scare-free but not without entertainment.

The movie is rather opulent too and with some cool sets reminding one of Suspiria and Inferno, two of Argento's most stylish films.

This is where i leave 8/10

Excellent and refreshing movie the plot was good and acting was decent a couple of scenes will make you laugh hard :))

I watched the movie after your post, the movie was hilarious, made me reflect about life at the same time it was kinda weird haha. 9/10

Kill the Messenger

Was good, but could have been much better considering the premise it was based and the skilled cast members.

More of a thriller than an action film but Denzel is badass in this one. The scene where he offs the villain's henchmen one by one in the store reminded me of a horror film.

Also liked the Russian villain Teddy. Real nasty creep.

Movie dragged in a few places and is overlong at 2+ hours but worth a watch.

Non-stop : 6.5/10 : Decent movie, basically an Air Marshall (Liam Neeson) has to avoid a potential hijacking by finding the unknown culprits that are texting him.

Bar the ending, the movie IMO was good

The movie for the first hour was amazing, then it was good but kinda weird. I didn't expect to go like that. Keep on coming.

ok'ish movie. mark walhberg usually does such bad ass roles

On the flight back home - saw 2 movies. Disney.

The Little Mermaid - 9.5/10 - Classic! Discovered newfound love for the track - 'Part of Your World'. One of my most, most favourite Disney Renaissance movies.

How to Train your Dragon 2 (yep, finally saw it Donal Cozzie endymion248) - 9.5/10 - The fact that this is tying in with one of my all-time fave movies simply speaks for itself. Definitely as good as the first one, if not better - grown up Hiccup is adorable! Nearly burst out laughing at a few points in the movie - definitely recommend it!

Wes Anderson does it again! Not as good as his masterpieces Moonrise Kingdom or The Royal Tenenbaums but still brilliant stuff. Charming, funny, poignant, sad, surprisingly violent and ultimately bittersweet. Just when you think it's getting too sad, it makes you laugh. Just when you are getting comfortable, it throws a gut punch. All the while, it retains the low-key and whimsical tone that Wes is famous for.

Ralph Fiennes (who should do more comedy) was fantastic. And the cast is to kill for.

'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' (2014)

What a boring film! No storyline at all and the war seemed endlessly long! The only good thing was the effects that you see/feel whilst watching a film in 3D.

Overall, hugely disappointed!

Sleuth (2007)

Based on a Tony award winning play by Anthony Shaffer. The 1972 version had Micheal Caine playing the role of the lothario Milo Tindle while this one has him playing the role of Laurence Olivier, that of a successful and filthy rich crime fiction writer, Jude Law plays Tindle. A similar role reversal as in 'The Color of Money' by Paul Newman.

It is theatrical and quite obviously overdone at times but the back and forth between the two actors is brilliant. Michael Caine is utterly believable as an egomaniacal jealous and cunning husband trying to teach his wife's lover a lesson. Jude Law was made for this role as a sort of a gigolo hair dresser who is also selfishly looking out only for himself, trapped in this psychological game for the love of money. Dialogue is the heart of the movie.

The Purge 2

Definitely not as good as the first one.

Story line seemed weak and definitely not the gore or the intensity of the first one.

5/10

Watched Rajnikanths' Lingaa. Horrible piece of garbage film. The man should retire. Only good thing was that my friends and I went to the 11:30 PM show on Sunday night and we were the only ones there. The theatre supervisors are my friends, so the entire theatre cinema hall was ours, along with free popcorns with extra butter and cokes.

Born twice - very emotional movie a bit long as well
The Grifters- quite a unique plot with a bold climax

The Bay. Decent found footage eco-horror from Oren Peli. Worth a watch.

Watched PK 10/10

Utterly brilliant, I feel this film is even better 3idiots. Aamir is the best actor of Bollywood, gave career best performance.

Will definitely watch it soon. On another note, how much would you give '3 Idiots' of of 10 stars? That would give me an idea how good 'PK' has been compared to '3 Idiots'.

Why does Amir Khan have a constant frown on his face like that infamous 'Zoolander' look....bad Botox?

PK is the best effort from Bollywood since Aamir's own 3 Idiots. Although I think 3 Idiots is slightly better as it had no weak moments whereas PK falters a little in the second half, it is still head and shoulders above the garbage coming out of Bollywood in recent years. Highly recommended. Rajkumar Hirani is without a doubt the best director in Bollywood. Needs to make films more often.

PS don't watch if you are one of those ultra-sensitive about religion types.

PK is a very good movie, like many Amir Khan's movies it teaches lesson society needs but does not want to listen. Main stream actor like Amir Khan giving masses lecture about Atheism/Secularism in a very funny, yet meaning full way is a brave effort. Last time in Three Idiots he lecture public on what education should be about, this time he is trying to teach why future should be less about religion (business of fear) and other dogmas!!

I like the fact that many even in Pakistan are going to watch this, young generation is less fearful and more open to new ideas. Its an artistic style of teaching public about secular/atheist ideas, some thing we desperately need. This movie also shows in tolerance and secularism India is leaps and bounds ahead of us. Atleast at national level secular ideas are main stream ideas. They are less afraid of mocking the enterprise of religion. A movie like that is not possible in Pakistan. This is still a good cheap way to teach next generation about secularism and its values, because older generation is too fearful and stubborn to learn anything new (if they had that capacity, our cultural development would have being better).

There are weak moments in movie, which I think are there because society is not ready to go extra mile on this sensitive topic. In a century or so things will get much better, then you don't have to hold back as much as today.

^^^ True.

Raj Kumar Hirani will go down as one of the biggest legends of bollywood..

PK was a great ending to an awfull year for bollywood in terms of quality movies...

I read that PK has mocked hinduism in the movie. then, full support to the movie, and i will watch it in a theatre.

'Man On Fire' (2004)

Quite an excellent film. Perhaps a bit too stretched in length as it could have been made shorter, again, perhaps.

Having watched the Bollywood remake of it years ago ('Ek Ajnabee' 2005) had bit of an affect and I wasn´t quite able to enjoy it to the extent that I would have otherwise. Still, the film itself isn´t at fault here of course; just my bad luck.

That is another problem with some of my fellow Pakistanis, they are not just narrow, but intellectually challenged as well.

It's more about business of religion rather than any particular one!!

Good movie highlights the social issues of teenagers watch a bit boring at the start but panned out well a simple story :19:

Just came back from theatre after watching The Hobbit Part 3: The Battle of Five Armies.

Not impressed with the movie, but finally a nice send off in this trilogy film. It was fun, great battle scene, enjoyed the action in every bits of the movie. First time i have watched in 3d - has been very skeptical about 3d for a while until gave in to the grand finale in 3D version.

3D version of this movie has blown me away. Masterpiece background, great scenary and tremendous scenes of battlefield in 3D. I would love to watch it all over again in 3D version. The ticket was worth it. 3D made it worth to make up for negative points of this movie.

Overall, 8/10 coming from biased fan of 'The Hobbit' - extended from Lord of the Rings.

I had both options to watch; PK and Hobbit 3. But curiosity of 3D made me consider Hobbit 3. Worth every penny :)

I hear great review of PK. According to imdb, this is best movie of PK in Amir Khan's career.

Night at the Museum 3.

Not very good. I feel the novelty has worn off and they should move on.

Story was weak, humour was poor and overall a film that bored me.

4/10

Yeah, I saw the first one and dont know why they made any more even though it was decent (well I know why, $$$$$, but still it didnt need sequels IMO).

I saw the cast on the Graham Norton show talking about the film though, and apparently there's a really touching scene with Robin Williams near the end I think. Might watch it just for that

'The Trials of Cate McCall' (2013)

Predictable at times and a bit too mainstream perhaps, but was still a good film to watch.

I will give it 6.5 out of 10.

A really interesting films, albeit a bit silly at times.

Long film but kept me entertained and interested. Amir Khan is brilliant once again.

Definitely worth a watch 8/10.

'Air Force One' (1997)

It started off well but then lost its pace, with the president being shown as a superman. Amazingly poor application!

Saw PK.........no way perfect but I thoroughly enjoyed it. A brilliant yet subtle slap to a world that's becoming increasingly hyper-relegious each passing day! For me the best release this Christmas.

The Maze Runner- great movie, very well made, it really gives you that edge of your seat experience- 8.5/10
