What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

Saturday at my cricket match, in the tea break there was roll, had cheese and pickle rolls and tuna & sweetcorn rolls, fruits, crisps, and some delicious cheese and onion pastry bites. Then in the evening I had a family birthday party, was channa chole, nihari, butter paneer, biryani, some vegetable pastry thing, and homemade cake and trifle for dessert :)

Yesterday I went to a restaurant with family, for starters ordered pizza, hummus + bread, halloumi, falafels and main course I had chicken kasbehchicken kabseh.jpg

Had a huge cheat day on Friday as went London with some family members. Went to wingstop first, had chicken wings there. Then went shakeshack, shared peanut butter shake, fries and burger, then went through chinatown, we shared some crispy vietnamese chicken. Also got some chinese dumplings. Then later we got some ice creams and waffles as well. Last but not least, had burrito for dinner, from a place called tortilla.

On Saturday, was my cousin's ameen so pigged out there as well :) Chaat, samosas, salmon sandwiches, steak sandwiches as appetisers, was lots of cake/sweet for dessert and for main course, was biryani, grilled chicken, kebabs, chicken karahi

TBF I didn't actually eat that much on Friday, as everything was shared between like 8 of us. Only the tortilla I had all for myself

Just had fried rice and poached eggs. I made it myself.

Ingredients:

1) Cooked rice.
2) One whole onion.
3) Turmeric powder.
4) Chili powder.
5) Salt.
6) 2 eggs.

Last night had roast chicken legs and had sides of roast vegetables, cauliflower bites and potato sliders. The potato sliders were delicious

Got some caramel cheesecake flavoured syrup that is 0 calories. Delicious, can just add it to something simple such as yogurt.

My daily Honeycrisp apple, one of the few worthwhile items to emerge out of the otherwise Godforsaken Midwest:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeycrisp

Of all the various cultivars of the apple, I insist on the Honeycrisp, in spite of the steeper price. Try it if you haven’t yet.

Went to a valima on Tuesday evening. Was a buffet. Was Goan Curry, lahori fish, chicken tikka, nargisi kofta, biryani, mogo chips, chicken korma, aloo tikki. Then kulfi/ice cream in dessert.

Went to Vapiano.

Ate Penne Arrabiata.

As a desert had a Nutella cheesecake, yum it was.

Had risotto with gobi chicken tuesday night. Yesterday had punjabi pulao and my mum made some peas in tomato sauce thing.

Had a lot of fish yesterday. Mum made some thai green curry 'fish in a bag' a recipe by the Bodycoach. Basically salmon and rice and had coconut milk/thai paste etc. Then for dinner, mum oven baked some cod, some potato wedges, had it with ketchup/mayo, five beans in a hot spicy tomato sauce and mushy peas.

raining . Had some ragda pattice [ basically a crisp shallow fried potato cutlet ] with channa garnished with green & tamarind chutney & diced onions . Delicious snack .

Tried to make tofu bhurji like Panner one but man Tofu as an ingredient <<<<<<<<< Paneer , doesn't absorb the flavors at all, inspite of trying so much, Tofu is only good for east Asian cuisine.

So on Eid. The spread was Biryani, kofte, chicken korma, aloo bangain, lamb chops, salad and in dessert there was falooda, also chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. I didn't eat much in the day, saved my appetite for this :)
