New found optimism in the Pakistan camp- can they keep the spirit going into the next game?
Could we be seeing CT17 repeat itself again?

Get Kane Williamson out early, your chances of winning this game will double. He's the key wicket and if our bowlers fail to overcome him, we need Babar Azam to match him on the day to stand a chance.
It's not all about Kane.
Munro and Latham - law of average catching up, they are due to perform.
Kane - In form
Taylor - In form
Neesham - Descructive
CDG - better version of Afridi
It's hard to accept that all of them will fail against Pakistan. And believe it or not, NZ tail is the best of the lot.

Lol if you want to look at it like that, then Kane is due a golden duck and Taylor a single digit score.
Let's add in that Pak have not put in a complete performance yet- that's due too.
Joke post
I recon the Birmingham crowed will play a key role. This is a home game for Pakistan and New Zealand have just about hung on to beat West Indies, Bangladesh and South Africa (three sides that are unlikely to qualify).
Kiwis are too good to lose against Pakistan.
NZ. They will kill us off due to the ridiculous chances we drop every game. We drop Taylor once and he will destroy us, which he's done before. For us to win fielding has to be spot on. Which I can't see it being, if it is spot on in the field we have a chance but only if we bat first. I can't see us chase 280+ against Boult.
Thing is we are due a win v NZ. Just like we were against England.

Like I've been saying NZ are probably the easiest team to beat out of the top 4 right now, just get KW and Taylor early and it's game over for them.
I think Pakistan has woken up now. Inducting H Sohail is a testament to that.
It will be difficult for others to stop them now.
World cup is all about momentum.
Reckon NZ will win this. They've won a lot of cricket against Pakistan in the last few years. They're also a solid professional team that you know will always put up a fight. If Pakistan play their best cricket they'll have a chance. But if not NZ will win.
If the World cup is all about momentum, then how are they supposed to stop NZ, who've won 5 games on the bounce?
Because ALL of NZs games won bar Afgh & Lanka have been very close games that could have gone either way.
It be one thing if NZ was thrashing them like Aus of old.
You're wrong. Then they would be "peaking too early".![]()
It's going to be difficult for Pakistan.
The H2H record between these two sides in the last 13 completed matches is 12-1 to New Zealand.
That's even more one-sided than India-Pakistan match-ups.
But it's about having one good day. If Pakistan pulls this off though it's going to be an upset.
