Mitchell Starc.

Was beastly in the WC. I expect the same in England.

From the batsmen, I think Joe Root is going to have a big one at home.

Warner, Root and Starc.
For Pakistan, I expect Shadab to surprise if he is selected.

no one rate indian team & player like last CT but after all know who is the boos .same happen this year also

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Buttler. I really hope England have him bat in the top 4 because he will absolutely demolish the opposition more often than note, especially on these flat highways for pitches.

His fixed position will probably be at 5 but if England need to accelerate, they will promote him up the order.

Buttler, Stokes and Roy will be key for England, their performance will probably the difference between winning the tournament and coming up short. Root is their best and most consistent batsman, and without a doubt one of the best in the world, but he is the anchor in that lineup and not a game-changer. His role would be to consistently look to bat 25-30 overs with the others playing around him.

Yes perhaps. Ideally, he would be my No.3 because frankly, I'm not a huge Root fan because he isn't the most attacking player and misses out on opportunities to make hundreds more often than not. Buttler, on the other hand, has played some gems and scored brilliant tons on slots you don't expect a lot of hundreds.

Think Buttler will be great. Smith. Starc and from Pakistan, Hasan Ali/Imad

You don't want Butler having to rebuild an innings. It would be better for him if his role was to accelerate the scoring.

No one will agree but I feel like this is the tournament for Devilliers and South Africa.

They will win this time.

Lol at Butter

It depends if he plays or Billings.

Billings is a nobody in international cricket. Buttler is already one of the best LOI batsmen. In my ideal team, he would replace Root at No.3 but even if he doesn't, he's the words best No.4.

Billings has no chance of playing over Buttler. Infact Billings has no chance of playing at all really with Bairstow being the first replacement now as batsman or keeper.

Will probably remain at 5 or 6 on the scorecard to be honest with the occasional promotion if the top 3 do well.

I rate Buttler.
He is an Odi ATG in the making. Till now he has underachieved and we have seen 75% of Buttler's best in international cricket.

First time in a long time AB de Villiers is not starting a tournament as the best player in the world.

It will be nice to see what he does.

Ben stokes and Steven Smith are the current best players in the world, playing in strong teams also. I see one of them taking the player of the series award.
Quiton de Kock. il also someone too look for.

Lol at Stokes. He's not even the best all-rounder in the world and you are calling him one of the best players.

I hope you saw his performance In the ODI's In India ans now vs South Africa!
He Is a top class player.

This is his tournament. It is going to be either him or Joe Root.

The signs are good. Got a century without being at his best and after being carried by his team-mates during his rough patch, he knows that he can count on them to get the runs if he fails so he won't hold back once his eye is in.

Chief Destroyer see my post above, and you call me a Hasan hater :)))

I called it before the start of the tournament and my boy Hasan hasn't disappointed.

Depending on how Dhawan does in next game or two it will be between him and Hassan Ali.

Hopefully Hassan gets a fifer next game in a match winning cause.

I haven't called you a Hasan hater just that you failed to read his potential and now you're a fan.
