Most of us have thought of this as a 2-horse race, but I think it's time to not rule Man Utd out.

They are looking strong and in form and in Rashford have an outstanding player at the top of his game.

I agree with the bold part. These will be very very tough games because Arsenal will not have its best XI out as no team rarely does due to injuries and fatigue. I think you will beat Newcatle but lose 2 out of the other 3. Anfield will be rocking and LFC will play like madmen to stop any team winning the title.

City have won 10 out of their 12 home games so far, so it's difficult for any team to go their and win.

Even as bad as Liverpool have been this season, you have only lost once at home.

This is why it's important for Arsenal to keep winning at home, 4 games at home in next 6 games, need to win all 4.

Reason why Arsenal are top this season? Their away form.

Played 12, won 9, drawn 1 lost 2. (Last season won 9, drawn 1 lost 9). We lost half of our away games which was pathetic, we lost 13 games all season (1/3 of games)

Most teams that win titles pretty much dominate at Home, then the away form pretty much wins the league.

Arsenal in 01/02 and 03/04 didn't lose a game away from home in either season.

The away form is what I wanted to see us improve and it has slightly, but I'm not getting carried away as we lost away to united and Everton Again. So unless Arsenal come away from the 3 away north away games Liverpool, man city, Newcastle unscathed, we won't win the league.

If at end of season we do finish 2nd it will be these 5 away games (united, Everton, Newcastle, Liverpool, city) which will have decided it.

United are in the race, 5 points is a nothing gap. City and Arsenal are dropping points, but would need to keep doing so and United keep on winning (there squad though isn't strong enough to fight on 4 fronts) so interesting how ambitious they are and what their target is.

Just remember as good as United form has been, as soon as expectations got really high they dropped points vs Palace and Leeds United. Playing pressure free football is one thing, title race is another. Man city are only prove team in this 3 horse race.

Come on Saj bro, you cant be serious! We cannot have Utd winning the league, this would go against the balance of the universe. Utd are in great form but if they beat Barca, the matches then will come thick and fast. Utd are one or two injuries away from ruining their current form. I cant see Rashford continuing to score at this rate too.

Very fair argument, Ive changed my mind after your points. City are favs but they are under pressure to win the CL so a anything can happen. If Utd win it, its will be a punch in the gut for both .:))

Last season Arsenal lost all 5 away games I mentioned - United, city, Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle. Reality I'd we were battered in all 5 of those games. We have lost 2 out 2 of those games this season. So when a season can be decided on small margins that's where it will be won and lost.

Yeah United winning it would a punch in balls and kick in face, even them finishing 2nd would be

5 points isn't a lot.

A couple of results go their way and they are right in the mix.

Fair point. I think the next 3 matches for Utd will decide if this is long term form which could take them to a title challenge.

LFC away, Brighton away and Newcastle away. IF Utd get 6 points out of these 3 they will be in the mix. LFC are finding their form now, so as an LFC fan I expect we will hammer them at Anfield. :)

Arsenal can go five points clear with victory over Everton but they know one more slip-up and Man City will be there!

13 games to play, 5 points clear. Impossible to call IMO

1.jpg

Nah, would take a big collapse from City but it is not happening. They are too good.

City should take all 6 points off Arsenal and they also have a lot more squad depth. Arsenal will suffer if any of the key players in attack get injured.

Should finish 2nd and it would be brilliant. Keep the core together and build on it next season.

Arsenal is back in the mix now and that is all that matters.

Mr Flip flop - predicting City to win title, then changes his mind in January 🤣🤣

Some people have zero credibility and then are telling other fans they can celebrate 🤣🤣

Who ever gets to 90 points will win the title.

Arsenal can W10 D0 L3, or W9 D3 L1.

City would need to W11 D2 L0. That will be very difficult for them given their inconsistency this season.

Mathematically, surely Arsenal are favourites? It will all really come down to that game at the Etihad on 26th. If we take a full strength side there incl. Jesus and Partey, I am confident.

1.jpg

This XI is unbeaten even since the start of preseason. Played 8, won 8, scored 25, conceded 3.

City will still win the league. Imo. Arsenal will bottle it in the end. City have the know how.

Not convinced

Think the late win against Villa combined with Forest grabbing a late equaliser was the pivotal moment

By the time the Etihad game comes I think Arsenal will have a lead bigger than 5 points and they'll be able to afford a loss

Arsenal favourites to win from here

Arsenal should win it but still have to travel to mighty Anfield. LFC will come out like a train in this match.

Plus they have to come to St James' Park as well but I think City have more dropped points left in them, particularly the away fixtures to the likes of Palace, Brighton, Southampton

Also, if Man-U win on Sunday I would not rule them out of winning it as they arguably have the easiest run out of the 3 teams

After todays lucky escape it seems the pressure is building up for Arsenal. City are experienced at the back end along with Liverpool, both teams will not drop too many points from now on. Like LFC , City have players returning while Arsenals squad is thin, looking tired already.

Arsenal still favs but could bottle it from here.

Utd beat LFC sure it will be a massive result, even more momentum but wont win the league . I think Anfield and with LFC in decent form now with players back will end their winning run. Most likely a draw or LFC win.

It's hilarious reading some of these Arsenal possibly bottling it comments 5 points with 12 games to go is not a huge lead and still long way to go. If Arsenal blow a huge lead with a few games left etc.. fair enough.

Newcastle losing a 12 point lead to man united under keegan is bottling it.

Man united losing a 11 point lead in 97/98 to Arsenal is bottling it.

Arsenal 02/03 blew an 8 point lead over united with 9 games to go.

Liverpool and Gerrard slip losing lead to City with few games to go.

Man united 11/12 - blew 8 point lead with 6 games left .

These are examples of bottling I'm title races

United and Liverpool fans need 🤫 about so called bottling, saltiness is hilarious.

What's becoming very clear is that Arsenal do not know when they're beat. 3 times in the last 8 matches we've scored stoppage time winners to complete a comeback. We went through a blip where everyone said it's over, it's falling apart, Arsenal bottling it. Now we've won 4 on the trot and back to 5 points clear, the noise has quietened again.

This is going right to the very end.

Arsenal have won 5 on the bounce in the midst of quite a few injuries. Seems like we're going on that run they said Man City would, and the team will only going to get better from here on with the return of Jesus.

Potentially pivotal weekend coming up in the title race - Arsenal going to Liverpool.

If Arsenal can pass the Anfield test it will be absolutely massive.

Potentially pivotal weekend coming up in the title race - Arsenal going to Liverpool.

Klopp rested 4/5 players v Chelsea. Salah came on for 25 mins, looked sharp as ever but was a hectic match.

Arsenal are in great form, they should be favourites but its Anfield. LFC are a different breed at home but Arsenal should win if they take their chances, as our defence is potts atm.

If Arsenal lose to both LFC and City, the title race will go down to the last game.

I dont care who wins the league.

Gary Neville says Arsenal will definitely go on to win the Premier League title if they beat Liverpool

Gary Neville believes Arsenal will "definitely" go on to win the Premier League title if they beat Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, live on Sky Sports.

Arsenal hold an eight-point lead over Manchester City but the chasers have a game in hand and can close the gap to five on Saturday evening in front of the Sky Sports cameras when they head to Southampton.

With nine games left, Mikel Arteta's side are on course to win the club's first league title since 2004 and Neville believes they can take a big step towards doing so this weekend.

"If Arsenal go to Anfield and win I'd say definitely it will be their title because the confidence from that will be unbelievable. If they lose at Anfield it then becomes a really tight race," said Sky Sports pundit Neville.

"Our manager (Sir Alex Ferguson) would say to us if you're playing Liverpool away at this time of year and you're going for the title, and you win, you win the league. Quite often that proved to be the case.

"About two or three months ago, I thought Arsenal would finish 10 or 15 points behind Man City. That's not going to be the case now, obviously. It's 50-50 now. If Arsenal win at Liverpool, they definitely become favourites, but there's still a long way to go. Arsenal have to go to City and Newcastle, and they're going to be very difficult games."

Neville, though, is sticking with his prediction that Man City will lift their fifth title in six seasons.

"I'm still saying City will just win it because at some point they will get close enough to Arsenal and they'll flex their muscles," he said.

"If City are within four or five points when they play them that pressure will become unbearable for those Arsenal players. I know it because I've been there myself and I've been dragged over the line by senior players in the team.

"For the Premier League, it's far better if Arsenal win it because City have won it four times in the last five years: [for] the idea this league is competitive, and the idea that teams we don't think can win it at the start of the season [can win it]. No one thought Arsenal were going to win it. Everyone thought Man City or Liverpool.

"For Arsenal to win it would demonstrate what we like about the Premier League - that we think, even though it's not been the case in the last five years, it's a competitive league, that anyone can beat anyone.

"This would be the real proof of it if Mikel Arteta can go from outside the top four to winning the league. That would be an absolutely incredible story and we've got a hell of a five or six weeks to come. It's all to play for in the top four, at the bottom and in the title race."

I think Arsenal will beat Liverpool and that will rightly make them favourites for the title

I think City having CL games (at least two) will be what causes them to drop points, which gives imo Arsenal that buffer to drop points in a few games

Could today's LFCvAFC clash pretty much decide the winner in the 2 horse race?

League leaders Arsenal's 2-2 draw at Liverpool on Sunday has seemingly opened the door for reigning champions Manchester City in what is becoming a dramatic title race.

While the Gunners, who are chasing their first title since 2004 now have a six point gap over City, Pep Guardiola's side have a game in hand and host Mikel Arteta's team on 26 April in what could be the decisive fixture.

City also have a superior goal difference - currently 48 to Arsenal's 43 - which could became a factor.

While Arsenal have just eight fixtures remaining, City are still in the hunt for the FA Cup and Champions League, and could have a packed schedule between now and the end of the season.

According to data company Nielsen's Gracenote's simulations, City are now favourites with a 56% chance of lifting the trophy, while Arsenal's chances are 44%.

Arsenal have not beaten City in the Premier League since December 2015 and their last top-flight win at the Etihad was in January 2015.

The sides have already met twice this season, with City winning 1-0 in the FA Cup in January and 3-1 in the league in February.

But Arsenal may have history on their side.

According to Opta, 13 sides in the top-flight have had 73 or more points after 30 games (when adapted to 3 points for a win) and only two of these have failed to go on and win the title - Manchester United in 2011-12 and Liverpool in 2018-19. However, less reassuringly for Arsenal fans, it was City who ultimately finished champions on both those occasions.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says his side "will not be champions" if they lose to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

A win against the Foxes would leave Guardiola's side three points behind leaders Arsenal, with both on 30 games.

"Everybody knows that if we lose games we lose competitions," he said.

Pep Guardiola's side's next league game is a potential title decider against Mikel Arteta's men, at home on Wednesday, 26 April at Etihad Stadium.

"Like I said in the previous press conference, it is to win win win," said Guardiola.

"They [Arsenal] have had an incredible run so far this season, I don't think they will drop many points and we have to be in there.

"It is important for us to arrive at the match by winning today and [it is] a final against them in the next Premier League game."

Arsenal can re-establish their six-point advantage when they face West Ham on Sunday and the gap could be nine points by the time they meet City as they play an extra league game against bottom club Southampton next Friday.

"It is a final to play more finals," Guardiola said about facing Arsenal. "If we lose this game it will be almost over.

"We have to arrive in this position having the chance to be close to Arsenal. We want this opportunity knowing how difficult it will be but before that we have a Champions League semi-final chance and the FA Cup."

Arsenal Remaining Fixtures:
- Southampton (Home)
- Man City (Away)
- Chelsea (Home)
- Newcastle (Away)
- Brighton (Home)
- Nott Forest (Away)
- Wolves (Home)

The ones underlined are easy wins, but Arsenal has the harder remaining fixtures compared to Man City. Yes, even though Chelsea are doing awful at the moment, because its a London derby, you never they could pull of a very upsetting result for Arsenal, in the same way West Ham drew with Arsenal. But still, I think Arsenal will beat Chelsea.

Brighton is in very good form at the moment, and obviously Newcastle and Man City Away are tough. That Newcastle Match will be high pressure, especially since what happened last season :stokes

Manchester City Remaining:
- Bayern (UCL)
- Sheffield United (FA Cup)
- Arsenal (Home)
- Fulham (Away)
- West Ham (Home)
- Leeds United (Home)
- Everton (Away)
- Chelsea (Home)
- Brentford (Away)
- Brighton (Away)

Again, the ones underlined are easy wins imo, Man City usually thrashes Chelsea, Fulham will be tricky, but havent been good in last few matches.

But Brighton Away is a very tricky match, and it could be the vital shock result that will happen in order for Arsenal to win the league. Brentford could get a point (or three) against City too.

I know a lot of Arsenal fans will be thinking to get just a draw from Etihad, but in my opinion: If Arsenal are truly champions and truly the best team this season, then they need to be winning these big matches and beat Man City Away. This is what other winning teams have done in the past. Otherwise, if that match is a draw, or if Man City wins, Then Manchester City are deserving winners, and I would say will win the league, and a treble is on for them.

Arsenal's lead is four points over Manchester City, down from a high of eight points earlier in the season.

It would be huge blow for Mikel Arteta's side should they lose the title from a position of such dominance, but they won't be the first to do so.

Three teams have previously lost the title after leading by eight points - Mike Walker's Norwich in the first season of the Premier League (1992/93), Arsene Wenger's defending champions in 2002/03, who saw their lead overturned by Manchester United in the final two months of the campaign, and then Manchester United in 2011/12, following the unforgettable "Agueerrroooo!" moment in the final kick of the season.

But eight points is by no means the biggest lead to have been blown.

Kevin Keegan's Newcastle side famously gave up a 12-point lead to United in the 1995/96 season.

Two seasons later, United were themselves reeled in, losing out to Arsene Wenger's Nicholas Anelka-inspired Arsenal in the 1997/98 season after at one point holding an 11-point advantage.

While Pep Guardiola's City have previous when it comes to overhauling big leads, overcoming a nine-point gap to beat Liverpool to the 2018/19 title by just a point after winning their last 14 games.

Thanks to Opta for these stats:

Newcastle (1995/96) 12 points

Manchester United (1997/98) 11 pts

Liverpool (2018/19) 9 pts

Norwich (1992/93) 8 pts

Arsenal (2002/03) 8 pts

Manchester United 8 pts

More dropped points for Arsenal against Southampton swinging the title race further to Man City.

Really is last chance saloon for Arsenal resting on that Wednesday game at the Etihad.

Arsenal will need to produce something "miraculous" if they are to pip Manchester City to the Premier League title following their 3-3 draw with Southampton, according to Jamie Carragher.

Inshallah :)

Arsenal will need the 11 players to give the performances of their lifetime on Wednesday night to win that game and swing the title back in our favour. Regardless, even a draw would be gold at this point.

Both teams will be dropping more points before the season end, as City compete on 3 fronts simultaneously. Guardiola has already said his team looks exhausted, but he's also got perhaps the greatest squad assembled in PL history.

Nothing's over yet, still plenty of football to be played. 70-30 in City's favour at the moment.

Arsenal have 0.01% chance of getting anything at the eithad, 11 PL defeats in a row vs City. City have won 28, drawn 1, lost 1 of their last 30 PL games at home.

Wednesday we will be the equivalent of the undertaker (man city) doing a tombstone piledriver on Arsenal. Arsenal still have to go to Newcastle and the form they are in Arsenal are dropping more points.

City may even with title with few games to spare.

Nice to see an Arsenal fan backing his team!

It could have been but unlikely now. Arsenals recent form , 3 matches 6 goals conceded, 4 against teams with little goals in them. You then go to City at home who will be hungry in their best form of the season.

City should win the league by more than 4 points, this wont be a close race compared to other recent ones.

I think deep down all Arsenal fans realise the scribes are preparing to write Manchester City 22/23 on the PL trophy.

The bookies have Arsenal 3-1 & City 1-4 on. These are huge odds for a team leading the table with points on the board but everyone inc the bookmakers know Arsenal are struggling now, City are reaching peak form. I think the matches remaining also help decide these odds. Would anyone put money on Arsenal beating Brighton at home after the last match?

Its a shame as I wanted Arsenal to win, great story, stops City but never felt confident in them doing it.

Fair odds imo for the match on Wednesday.

If Arsenal fans are confident and they are betting people, a double on Arsenal win and the title will ensure a lovely holiday all inclusive to the Maldives. But its just hope, this hope is all that is left now for the Gunners shooting wildly atm

Most disappointing thing is City haven't even applied much pressure to Arsenal and they have crumbled.

Man city after 28 / 29 games were on their usual points totals they have had at similar stages (apart from centurions season), despite not looking as rampant as last few seasons they have still picked up points.

All season City haven't dropped points in consecutive games. Before the Spurs loss, the longest number of wins for CIty in a row this season was 4 games. So people though that maybe they would stumble.

Put Pep layer into the players and got them focused. Arsenal had decent runs last season and this season, but then have a habit of losing or dropping points in consecutive games (last season they lost 3 in a row 3 times), this season they have gone without winning a game 3 games in a row twice. You simply can't do that in a top 4 or title race. Plus when the manager is to stubborn and has no plan B you get found out.

Pep saw his team weren't playing well in certain ways at start of season, also getting use to haaland. Now he's changed formation so that they are defensively solid, concede less chances and getting ball quicker into haaland.

Arsenal have played last 2 games and City haven't played, so City cudnt apply pressure, but weak mentality from end of last season. A weak captain who goes missing most of time under pressure and no accountability on failure means Arsenal folded on the 1st punch City landed.

City will win league by 5 or 6 points now or with a game or 2 to spare

The odds are more than fair. Look at pure facts.

Man citys last 31 home games at the Eithad won 29, drawn 1 lost 1

Only Brentford and Everon have got anything at Eithad in last 31 games

Arsenal have lost last 11 PL games in a row vs man city. How many other PL teams do you think have lost all their last 11 games vs City

Arsenal have no chance on wednesday

Last 5 matches.

City top the form table with 5 wins, 14 scored and 3 conceded.
Arsenal 8th , 15 scored but 9 conceded, no clean sheets. The goals being let in is the worry as before these 5 games it was only 25 out of 27 games! I have no idea why Jorghino isnt playing more a role, he is the specialist defensive mid, he was bought in for this very reason to shore up the defence in such a situation.

The next 4 matches are against sides who can score, even Chelsea are in poor form but have the ability to score 2-3 goals against this current defence. The other issue is it can no longer come down to goal difference, so thats a point lost for Arsenal in the bigger picture. Not that it will matter now but when going for the title against City you have to ensure of all possibilities.

I think if the UEFA cup was there for the taking. Conceding two away and then not being able to finish them off at home hit them hard mentally.

If City win with two games to spare, its likely Arsenal will lose their remaining games as the head will be shot.

Arsenal espcially at home have conceded to many chances and goals and failed to keep many clean sheets at home. Concededing 21 which is the 3rd highest in PL this season. Even with Saliba in side we were shipping goals.

Away from home only 13 and 4 of those in last 2 games.

If you keep Concededing goals. Eventually you will drop loads of points as having to score 2 or 3 goals a game just to draw becomes a burden.

Arteta hasn't addressed the defensive issues and has had 3.5 years to fix it, retaining holding, signing kiwor who clearly isn't ready, depend on injury prone players like Tomiyasu and Tierney etc.. just poor squad management.

Last time I saw a team throw title away with such shambolic defending was Liverpool with brendon Rogers, conceeding 50 goals to finish 2nd, pretty much expecting suarez and sturridge to compensate for a glass jaw of a defence.

Arteta is just another brendon Rogers, nice football when no pressure, then folds like dominoes under pressure.

Yes Arsenal will win.

This is one of the greatest title run-ins in PL history with more twists and turns coming. It is one for the ages and Arsenal will pip City to the title.

Title will be over with a few games to spare. Once again another clueless prediction from you.

Man City now just 2 points behind Arsenal with 2 games in hand.

All over it seems.

Man City 4-1 Arsenal: Premier League title in our hands - Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola says his Manchester City side have proved they can deliver when there is "no option but to win" after beating Arsenal to put the Premier League title race in their hands.

City won 4-1 against leaders Arsenal at Etihad Stadium, moving them two points behind with two games in hand.

City have seven matches left, starting with Sunday's trip to Fulham before home games against West Ham and Leeds.

"We cannot lose our focus. Now it's in our hands," said Guardiola.

"These next three games will dictate if we can do what we want to do. The reality is we're still behind Arsenal.

"It will not be easy for us, but it is game by game and we see what happens.

"When it's in our hands, we have to use it."

City remain on course for a Treble of the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, with Guardiola saying the experience of his players knowing what it takes to win in the final stages of the season is proving crucial.

"The players know it is necessary to say it is close and we need to win to stay in contention," added Guardiola.

"That mentality where you have no option but to win is the best mentality to play. The players have shown they go into every match trying to win."

I thought City were done and dusted when Arsenal were firing on all cylinders.

Just goes to show that it's all about peaking at the right time and not losing hope.

Like sir Alex use to say all those years ago, stay in touch with the leaders until March and then it's squeaky bum time.

There was never any panic with Man city, they have been there and done that and that's why they pace themselves like they do

A few games to spare and already turned into a damp squib with City romping to the title.

Oh surprise surprise the person that claimed title was in bag months ago has ran off like a coward.

Arsenal have bottled it.

To be fair, it was very unlikely Arsenal were going to sustain the kind of momentum they had until a few weeks ago. Although the gap was decent enough, it just wasn't wide enough to worry City.

Liverpool know this very well to their cost and now Arsenal as well. City are just on a different level at the moment and every single player of theirs is on their A game.

Arsenal had two chances to put city away this season and bottled both. After beating united at home they were 5 points clear (game in hand vs everton) and both City and Arsenal had 2 games before clash at Emirates.

Arsenal got 1 point from those 2 games so when into city game just 3 points clear.

2nd chance after beating Leeds at Emirates (8 points clear, played a game more) - Arsenal could have gone to eithad 11 points clear (played 2 games extra), again bottled it.

So like you say Arsenal didn't have a wide enough gap, but on 2 occasions they had the chance to do that to the point that losing either game to City and a buffer will still be there.

93% of the season Arsenal have been top and bottled it. Simply no excuse its all on manager and weak mentality of players.

So today is the day when City leapfrog Arsenal on their way to another title.

Pep Guardiola has dismissed suggestions the title race is done as he prepares his Manchester City side for an exciting run-in to the season.

City travel to Fulham on Sunday, knowing a win would take them top of the table for 48 hours at least, with Arsenal not in action until Tuesday at home to Chelsea.

Victory over the Gunners on Wednesday has put City in the driving seat for their third straight title win, but Guardiola is seasoned enough to know much could still change.

"People say it's over - it's not over," he said. "There are still seven games left and we take nothing for granted.

"I know Mikel [Arteta] perfectly and his players will not give up. We are respectful for the teams we have to play and we have to beat them.

"What happened to Arsenal [drawing three and losing one] can happen to us. You can drop points and we have to be aware of that."

He is, however, conscious the trip to Craven Cottage could offer a huge psychological boost should City regain top spot.

"It's a special stadium, against an organised team," he said. "They are exceptional in how they play so we have to be intense, aggressive and try to attack as well as possible.

"If we do our job, we will be closer."

Pep Is just being a professional and keeping focused.

Man city haven't dropped points in consecutive games all season, that's why they will win the league with a few games to spare.

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal's Premier League title race with Man City is not over as they prepare to face Frank Lampard's Chelsea

Mikel Arteta has rejected the notion that the Premier League title race is done and dusted now Manchester City are top, with the Arsenal manager robustly saying: "This is not over".

Despite Arsenal leading the table for 247 days this term, they sit in second place for the first time since February after City beat Fulham 2-1 on Super Sunday to move one point clear of the Gunners with a game in hand.

Arsenal can move back to the summit if they beat Chelsea live on Sky Sports on Tuesday night, but City would then have the opportunity to move back in front by winning against West Ham 24 hours later.

"Now it is not in our hands," Arteta said. "What is in our hands is to win our games. That's what we try to do and the rest is down to City.

"I know what we're trying to do. We have the nicest part of the season to play with five games to go. This is not over. I would pay a lot of money to be in this position next season, believe me."

For Arsenal to win the Premier League, the Gunners realistically need to win their five remaining games and hope City slip up twice.

Asked what Arteta has seen in the last week to give him hope that City will drop the necessary points, the Arsenal manager responded: "How tough it is to win every single game.

"It's not something that I saw in last week, if not they would have won every single Premier League game and they haven't."

Despite losing 4-1 to City in a title decider last week, Arsenal still secured Champions League football for the first time since 2017 - but Arteta says that, nor the idea of second place, is something the Gunners are prepared to settle for.

"Within the disappointment [of the loss to City last week] and the spirit around it, there are two things: the first one is to recognise what a lot of people have done a the club to get us back into the Champions League, which was already a difficult thing to achieve and not a lot of people were optimistic that we had the ability to do that at the start of the season.

"The second thing, and this is what I like the most, is even after achieving this with six games to go - which is something that has not happened for more than a decade at this club - we are still not satisfied, we are upset and we want more.

"We want to be the club we want to be - to be consistently with the best. That is what I've loved the most about the last few days."

So today is the day when City leapfrog Arsenal on their way to another title.

City will wrap it up with a few games to spare. Seem a certain fountain of knowledge is keeping away from the football threads now that they have been humiliated again.

I’d be surprised if Arsenal do it, if it comes down to 1 or 2 games again, they will buckle under the pressure. What they need is an all mighty choke from City and that’s unlikely

Title was in the bag back in February according to one comedy poster on here.

City won't choke, they will win title with 3 games left or so.

I said earlier in season whoever gets to 90 points wins the title

City needs to lose a game and draw one. Not unlikely with 6 games remaining anything can happen. Arsenal needs to win all remaining 4 games.

More chance of mamoon returning to this thread and admitting he got humbled, then city collapsing.

Arsenal will drop points vs Newcastle and Brighton if not both. City will win title with games to spare and if they get past Real in CL semi. They can then rest players in last few PL games so they are fresh for FA and CL finals.

With Arsenal back on top until later tonight, I was half expecting another comeback. mamoonsmiley5.gif

Funniest thing is Mr super fan calling other fans cowards , not proper fans and weren't allowed to celebrate. Now he's been humiliated he's run like a coward because his mid-season flip flop change failed.

Chelsea are shot, their players are looking forward to the beach now.

Arsenal play better when the pressures off, so the win was expected.

City tonight will regain top spot with most likely a huge win against the Hammers.

Arsenal will have it tough in the next 3 matches, even Forrest away wont be easy as they will fight with every ounce of energy they have to stay up.

Arsenal for last 20 years look a million dollars when pressure is off and then crumble, why because their is no accountability for failure, so that filters through to fans, players, managers. No strong mentality is built and that's no titles have been won.

West Ham were lucky to hang on for so long! It was a certainty but sure there would of been the odd Arsenal fan making dua. :wenger

When LFC were going to the wire(Arsenal wont), I realised its better not to watch the City games and wait for the result.

Man City at this stage of the season are a juggernaut. They just win game after game. Arsenal threw it away when they dropped points against West Ham and Southampton. Man City will win every league game until the end of the season and win the league comfortably in the end, as I see Arsenal dropping more points in their remaining games.

City will win title with 2 or 3 games to spare, this is why all season I haven't got carried away when people have said can Arsenal win the title. April was always going to be make or break.

The fact Arsenal have a average manager who had no plan B and a captain who dissapears when going gets tough it was always going to end in tears for some cowards in the fan base who have now no credibility left after getting over excited.

Not just West Ham and Southampton. They were playing really well against Liverpool in the first half when they were 2-0 up. I expected Arsenal to lose at Etihad so they had to do better again WH, South and Liverpool

Arsenal will drop points against Newcastle and Brighton, Title race will be over in next 2 games.
