Why has Pakistan not selected a reserve wicket-keeper for white-ball cricket?

I could have asked this question for ‘this tour’ but this hasn’t been the case for this tour only. For a very long time, Pakistan have been going into white ball tours with only 1 wicket keeper whereas there are always 2-3 keeping options that every team has in their squad

Why have we allowed this trend to just continue without question? Is it impossible for our keeper to get injured or completely out of form?

Exactly instead of fake Warner Fakhar Zaman, Haris should have been picked at the top

Agree their should Always be atleast 1 other back up, it just makes sense to have one, ideally would have like Mohammad Haris, or Sarfraz but a back up is needed.

I think we need to give some domestic wicket keepers proper chances in national side but unfortunately we can't as our main stars never rest.

And where are we hiding them? The only with with potential is Mohammad Harris, who unfortunately is from the same school of taught as Shahid Afridi currently.

Haseebullah will never be international level. Saad baig is even worse than haseebullah if fact by quite a margin. Rohail is also very average and not international material.

We have hardly given any of them a chance so how can you judge them? Muhammad Akhlaq is one of them... a player with great potential who also performed well in the PSL but he still hasn't been given the opportunity to prove himself on the bigger stage.

Mohammad akhlaq is a part time wk at best. He's a decent slogger but will get eaten alive by international bowlers. Have you even seen his stats? On what basis does he deserves a go? He's hardly ever performed in domestics and frankly I don't see any potential in him.

as i said we need to give them a try atleast... sometimes stats doesnt reflect the abilities of the player!

do u think Haris is capable enough to play international cricket but still he made it... so why not try akhlaq? I am sure he will be a better option compared to haris.

It's about potential too which ikhlaq doesn't have . Harris wicket keeping alone is on another level to ikhlaq who is a very poor wk. Harris batting potential is far greater than ikhlaq's too.

I am all up for giving chances to players with potential regardless of their stats but players like ikhlaq has no potential at all.
