Should have played extra batter in place of siraj.. No need to have 5 bowlers where spinners are gonna bowl lot of overs.
 
Bairstow has wealth of experience on Hyderbad wicket as he did play for SRH for sometime. And also on some slow wickets like hyderabad. So i expect him to have more familiarity.
 
Ashwin is probably tiring a bit. He is getting old. 8th over on the trot. India will be completely different in India after Ashwin and jaddu.

IN terms of responding to different kind of challenges Ashwin is in a different league as he has far too many variations to call upon. Sundar is just a traditional spinner who works well on flat tracks, overly turning track.

Need someone to replace ashwin when he retire sunder is the best option
 
It all comes down to how well ENgland bowls in the first innings. If England concedes any lead over 100 will spell danger in 3rd innings.
 
IN a way bazball is their best way on these surfaces. You can't defend your way out herer. You just have to chance your luck and pick up whatever you get which is what Bairstow is doing.
 
England will be the happier side going into lunch on Day 1. Just 3 down and already 100+ on the board. A 250-300 score can put India under pressure.
 
barring pope, this has been high quality batting from england for the most part. especially from duckett and bairstow
 
Joe & Jonny need to bat out second session to get the upper hand in this test. A 27 over bazzball partnership get get them to somewhere like 230-3 at tea. :root
 
This match will surely go to the 5th day. I am sensing an England win.
 
Bairstow is absolutely nailed by Axar! An absolute jaffa of a delivery and this partnership is broken.
 
If anyone thinks this match will go beyond 300 overs , all i can say is :rolleyes: . Even 250 is looking competitive .

Umpteenth time Root succumbs to sweep in Indian lands. It just doesn't work for him. But he keeps trying.
 
Turning and bouncing plenty already. England probably have something to bowl at if they can even get 220.
 
India's strength is not just the tri spinners. It is their ability to bat agianst spin. Axar patel literally saved India's blushes with his batting against Australia.

I don't trust Indian batting either :) Rohit played brilliantly against England last time on a difficult wicket. KL Rahul can do. Gill is not a reliable batter on challenging wicket. To be honest Indian domestic batsmen are much more accomplished against spin on these wickets.

"I think quietening the noise around the stadium and around the bat is attacking enough.

"I don't mind being calm. Soften the ball, it makes it easier to bat.

the worst player is clearly pope. one bad ipl season shouldn't define him. compared to the rest of the batters he is good and the only one besides bairstow who has any sort of chance to bazball vs the spinners
 
Stokes 10 of 37 balls .where is bazball which they were talking from long time .:kp
