this guy has not been elected in usa and he won't be. im certain there are many elected political leaders in the muslim world who have said much worse about israel etc. trump would be considered pretty tame by standards over there. it's just that the anglo catholic world has set very high standards for themselves and are humanitarians at heart.

You are right, this guy cannot win general election I think people over estimate the republican primaries.

Liberals are pretty strong in many states. In battle ground states Ohio and FL, he has offended Latinos, now Muslims, soon he will somebody else. In swing states, these things matter a lot.

My only worry is how foreign affairs dominate the political scene next year.... This ISIS or similar drum beats helps republican.

As for NRA is concerned this is going to be clash between liberals and conservatives, wait till democrats get hold of congress. You will see lot of things change like climate and gun control.

Also, people who don't live in USA, unfortunately president election is fought in 2/3 swing states(FL,OH,VA), but that depends upon national retract to large extend. To me if Dems win OH, they win election.

If this time Democrats win election, this will change Republican Party big times, this tea party and neo cons are bound to change their out look, these ideas does not have long legs!!!

I'm not even disappointed over his comments, I'm amused. This guy is such a clown but the one good thing that has come out of his campaign is to expose the serious problems of racism and bigotry that exists in the US.

He's not going to win though, he'll get absolutely mauled in the federal elections with whoever wins from the Democratic side. Both Hillary and Sanders won't ever implement anything that is so unconstitutional.

With Trudeau already doing a great job in Canada and the Democrats a shoe-in to win in the US, North America is heading towards a good place, Alhamdulillah.

Religion is not mentioned on most people's passports.

Being born in Pakistan, having Pakistani (and British) nationality, having the ethnic features of someone from the SC, as well as having a muslim sounding name, I'll bet a US Immigration official would automatically assume that person is a Muslim.
But in the case of a certain Mr. Nazir-Ali they would be completely and utterly wrong, due to him being a Christian, being the former Anglican Bishop of Rochester, Church of England, as well as being the Visiting Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina, in the United States

The point being that if Muslim's were banned, or discriminated against in the USA, it is also extremely likely that most American's would not be able to tell the difference between a Hindu, Muslim or Sikh if they looked as if they originated from the SC, including from India, and therefore Hindu's and Sikh's would suffer the same backlash and racism as would Muslims. Do you not recall the attack on a Sikh temple in Milwaukee where 6 people were killed by a gunman who thought they were Muslim's?

So better be careful what you pray for - your prayers, if answered, my not give you what you thought you were getting.

Not just turbaned Sikhs. Do you think the average American can tell the difference between Indians & Pakistani's, or between Muslims, Sikhs and Hindu's with origins from the sub-continent?
 
First of all you didn't get what I am trying to say and still stuck on importance of minority votes. You are leaving in a dream but that's ok, time will prove my point but food for thoughts, below is Florida religious breakdown and will tell you what if 50% of non-voters comes out to vote, minority do not move needle.

Protestant, 40%
Baptist, 9%
Methodist, 6%
Pentecostal, 3%
Roman Catholic, 26%
Jewish, 3%
other religions, 3%
non-religious, 16%

This makes up more than 70% christian population in Florida plus 16% Atheist. I can pull the other states demographic but I hope you got the point here that you can convince yourself as much as you want by pulling some numbers, that's ok..

Let trump and Republicans worry about how to implement such a thing. At least they can ban 250,000 Syrians who are going to get asylum in America. That much they can do.

I heard there are thousands of them in Europe with fake Indian passports with names like Deepak Patel and Santosh Gupta. Word is they are mingling in Hindu temples and gurdwaras so might need to send in special forces with guns and smoke bombs to flush them out.

The agenda of a critic should be to criticize. Just like we have movie critics and arts critics, we have critics who specialize on Pakistan. Will you say a food critic why he doesnt become a music critic too? I think Indians make excellent Pakistan critics as they can see things from a distance, and distance gives perspective.

I agree that it is a fine place to discuss Indian issues, I just said that it is better to discuss Pakistani issues so that it remains a Pakistani forum in spirit and character.

After the Charlie Hebdo attack A Sikh guy was attacked in a supermarket in the UK suspected at being a terrorist. Yes the anti Muslim sentiment will increase amongst some but most Brits or other Western Europeans are well educated and wont resort to attacking others in the street. The ones who do that are the uneducated knuckle draggers who cant diffrentiate between a turbaned Sikh and a bearded Muslim. Or a brown Hindu or a brown Muslim. How do you ban Muslim immigration in the U.S its not like people walk around with religion cards. Someone could have a Muslim sounding name but be atheist or irreligious. Maybe they Trump should implement the Spanish inquisition test make propspective muslim immigrants eat pork and burn a quran.

Very few people of Saudi have been radicalized if people of other countries are getting radicalized i think its their fault more than Saudi's.

. Saudis had the second highest number of Foreign IS fighters. And this was back in August 2014. The number could have risen a lot.

Surprisingly more British Muslims have gone there than Pakistani and Indian Muslims.

Although most Western statistics confirm that the Saudi fighters make up the largest share of foreign fighters, Saudi Arabia considers this to be a false exaggeration aimed to "distort the image of Saudi Arabia and label its citizens as terrorists," according to Abdul Moneim Al-Mushawwah, the director of the Sakina Campaign, concerned with combatting extremist and violent ideology in Saudi Arabia. In his statement to Al-Arabiya net, he added: "Yes there are Saudi fighters that have joined the ranks of ISIS, just as there are fighters from most other countries, but the Saudis make up the least number of fighters."
