Younis Khan versus VVS Laxman

How do you rate Wasim Raja vs

Jimmy

Raja did not face all the atg WI bowlers, while Jimmy did, check his stats:

https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/e...volve_type=all;template=results;type=allround

Viv,

Viv never faced his own bowlers, whilst he was the best batsmen from that time, so you cannot comment.

Gavaskar

Vaskar faced all of the WI quicks, not the same for Raja, so this comparison cannot be made.

Sachin then?

SRT played in a different era, so cant compare.

.

Bold and I don't know what your argument is ? I never said Jimmy was the best batsmen of the time, I felt if there was any batsmen that could be considered the greatest batsmen of pace, it shouldn't be someone like INZI who just flat out sucked against fast bowling, it should go to someone like Jimmy.

FYI Waqar had a better and longer peak. Look at his stats from 90-94.

Imran khan also had a far better peak than Shoaib it’s not even close.

Wasim was the most gifted bowler that I’ve ever seen and I’m not exaggerating. If he was completely dedicated to cricket and less to fixing and politicking, he would’ve achieved much more. Not to mention, Wasim would catches dropped off his bowling almost every game.

You’re really not well informed on a topic you’re passionately discussing atm.

shoaib was more destructive. It doesn't work like that buddy. You got to factor in the team's the discussed bowlers plays for. Strength of the team could make the bowler look better than he is. Bowling partners matter.

I am not misinformed at all. I am right. shoaib played and carried a much weaker bowling attack and outshined everyone at his peak. His peak may have been short but his performances at his absolute best were far better than waqar, imran and on par with wasim if not better.

shoaib had how many catches dropped by akmal again? It's much harder to keep vs the pace of shoaib compared to wasim or waqar.

Younis averages over 50 in Australia, England and India. Laxman only averages 50+ in India.

Under Inzi’s captaincy younis averaged over 60 while Inzi averaged 10 runs less than him. In the last two years of his career, Inzi averaged around 35 while Younis averaged around 60.

Putting VVS in the same tier as KP and Clarke is an insult to the sport.

Younis are VVS are not in the same tier for sure. But that’s because Laxman is a few categories below him.

I understand showing patriotism but this isn’t a way to do it.

YK waa great in India. No doubt top quality batsmen against spin. On par with Laxman, both are slightly behind Sehwag.

I already told you the reasons for YK's average being higher than Laxman. Put Ponting or YK or even Bradman in Indian batting line up and ask them to play at 6, their average will drop considerably. That's just how it was for VVS, he played with 3 hungry beasts who feasted on bowlers.

You can have your opinion and in your mind believe YK might be better than SRT and Bradman, it's upto you.

opening the batting is the hardest job and in my opinion they are the best batsmen.

So averages should be accounted for based on positions.

laxman is a world class elite number 6 batsman only behind a few in that role.

younis is great but there are several players better than him at number 4.

No disrespect to laxman but Kahan Raja Bhoj Kahan Gangu Teli

Younis wins by lengths
