I heard that Zimbabwe actually have dozens of points in the bag - they just need them unfreezing. And a 0-0 or 1-0 to Zimbabwe would surely net more points if the ICC allows it.

Another inspirational performance from Zimbabwe :) 400 in the first innings usually secures a drawn test match at least. If they take a hatful of wickets on day three they might even win.
 
Mawoyo now averages 103.50 in Test cricket.

What the hell were we doing bowling first on this pitch? What possible explanation or logical reasoning could there be behind it?

Zimbabwe have been playing for the draw since the 6th over of this match. The perfect advert for fall asleep cricket.

not an excuse , you have to get 20 wickets to win a match in any conditions. This is goddamn zimbabwe not southafrica , india or england.

well you cant do it with some kind of magic for taking wickets you need something at least a will of batsman to score some runs a basic will of winning the game but sorry to say nothing is visible here and it is Zimbabwe not a school-eleven.
 
:facepalm: at the ppl blaming the track. Even if it the pitch was a national highway, its Zimbabwe who is batting, not Lara and Bradman.

our failure , we are waiting for the batsmen to make mistakes. We can't get wickets by some good bowling. It's indiaesque bowling at best.
 
seeing how our batsmen bat at snail pace as well baring YK & Jr. we are in for quite the snoozefest
 
remove azhar ali yar. What the hell is pakistan doing here. Ali can't bowl. Akll he is doing is bowling full tose and Zimbabwe are blocking full toses

and by good bowling you mean ?? there is no swing no seam movement by far wicket dont have any kind of bounce or pace I dont see how these bowlers some how pump up and convert into someone like Shoaib,tait or lee and start bowling rocket launchers to the batsman.
 
What a wicket. Azhar Ali will bat on here for three days for his 24*. :misbah
 
this Lamb guy has been stuck on the crease for way too long, really frustrating...Misbah to blame for bowling on this road and Mohsin to blame for 'resting' all 3 paceman (Gul, Riaz, Ahmed)
 
At least the hype over the so called world beating up and coming fast bowlers will die down a little.

cheema bowling wide , sohail short and wide how do you expect to get wickets on this kind of bowling. On slow pitches you have got to pitch it up otherwis ethere is no way you can get wickets. ITs indiaesque.

What I have seen cheema was bowling wicket to wicket and sohail havent bowl any thing specially short what game are you looking at ???

Why do we sofa critics think we know much more then the professional playing in the middle.
 
Junaid khan is such a pathetic fielder, oh plz raise your fielding standards if you want to play International cricket.

the same . Short of length is usually termed as short in cricket. Why can't they pitch is up?
 
Feel sorry for Ajmal. Off-spinners almost always enjoy the 4th innings more than any other, and he has been put in to bowl 44 thankless overs.

Nobody is making excuses.

Of course we should have more wickets. But the point is it makes for more interesting cricket if both sides are trying to win. Zimbabwe never had any desire to win this match.

Cheema has been predictable with one angle, Sohail has not looked penetrative one bit...Junaid has been decent and poor lad was robbed of Mawoyo's wicket thx to Sohail Khan's woeful drop

Go ask them I don't think constantly pitching the ball up is the answer and even if it is somehow threatening Zimbabwe is in Misbah mode.

Whether that is true or not, a 0-0 or a 1-0 to Zimbabwe is a great result for them. The unfortunate truth of matches involving minnows is that the lowest-ranked team never has anything to lose. The onus was on Pakistan to prove they are the better team and so far they have failed.
 
Hey no need to feel so bad, in the world cup din't we watch Ireland chase 300 something agaisnt England and beat them.
