I agree with you, it was never a bad option. Zimbabwe clearly struggle against spinners as seen by their series against india and the 2020-ODI against us.

Some Pakistani fans just like to complain. If we had played Ehsan instead of Rehman, others would complain "Why only ONE specialist spinner against a team that struggles against spin????"

Although from the articles about the pitch for next match, we will probably see Ehsan for Rehman.
