Zimbabwe vs Pakistan | 2nd Test | Harare | 13/09/2013 | Day 4

I think zimbabwe are playing negative cricket here. Its understandable that they are trying to keep wickets but if you get bogged down the same will happen as did with Pakistan 24 hours ago.

The idea to bring in night watchmen aint bad but Zimbabwe have used 2 watchmen already which now puts them into a disadvantage because the last recognized batsman will come at no. 9.

scoring quickly is not really important.

You get taylor out and Pakistan will have an outside chance MMW. As I speak Taylor plays a classy shot.......they electricity is back :hamster:

I have noticed that the Pakistani bowlers are on fire.

A little too late perhaps? Zimbabwe scored 100 runs without losing a proper batsman.
 
I have a feeling that Pakistan will win this. Zimbabwe need to be more positive

poor rr by zim today . if they bat for 45 more overs & score say 110 , the target would be 325 in 120 overs .will Missba go for it ?
 
Pakistan has already lost this match. If our batsmen are incapable of making 250 runs in the first innings in both the test matches, then it is very unlikely that they will chase down 275+ runs in the last 4 or 5 sessions of this test match. The lack of international cricket on home grounds in the last four years is gradually taking its toll.

Taylor's defence is absolutely solid. Imagine Pakistan finding a keeper batsman as good Taylor
 
hmm, if zim bowl with discipline they can create problems even if defending 270 .

That never happened

Zimbabwe won a match against batting 1st and we failed to reach the target while in the next match we beat them as they failed to chase our total. Nothing over 200 has ever been chased in this ground and as I speak, waller is gone

3 batsman left for zimbabwe!

but my Point is Zimbabwe was able to score 250 in 4th Inning

if thay can score 250 than why not Pakistan
Meanwhile Pakistan need only 4 wicket,s now
 
This is exactly what happens when you play too slowly. The pressure builds up and unless you are a chanders od Dravid you will involuntarily play a big shot every once in a while to release some pressure leading to your downfall. Zimbabwe doing exactly what Pakistan did.

Pakistan were 210/5
and than 230/10

Hopefully same happen with Zimbabwe

difference is that our bowling lineup was weak back then. Abul Rubel Zia were our bowlers so you can understand the quality. Shakib just came back from injury so he was out of touch. And in these conditions, Panyangara-chatara-vitori will look threatening.

Pakistan must not let zimbabwe score anything above 200 otherwise the match is over

Both bowling and batting remained pathetic during this test series. But still nothing will be done for improvement.
 
Although I normally would support minnows, for the time being I hope that Pakistan clean up the tail quickly so that we have an exciting match in our hands just like in the Ashes

That,s show Pitch playing well
 
Now Pakistan 3 Wicket,s away
hopefully we take those 3 wicket,s inside 10 runs like Zimbabwe did with us in 1st inning

not the easiest of chances but these are the decisive moments.

btw, I find Mutumbani a very poor batsman, even utseya is better
