Right now it's looking like Boult and Southee are a lock for WC starting positions.

Third spot between Mills, Mitch and Henry.

This is the first game he's played since the crackdown, it will be interesting to see if he get's reported.

I can't really tell with fast bowlers.

It's a stat that incorporates previous results. More recent results have more weight. I'm not sure if it includes the teams stats or not though. Can't really rely on Wasp for this game since only 1 game has been played here.
 
what the hell is the WASOP thing.

Also the commentators sound like they are chilling in their drawing rooms
 
It's a gimmick, something to talk about when there's dead air.
 
Amla needs to bat for 30-35 overs. Runs won't be an issue but needs to bat long here.
 
I just can't see us winning this unless we knock over the top in the first 10 overs.

If the SA's see off Boults first spell, it's pretty much game over from there.

They'll be able to score the runs off the rest of the bowlers.

Get rid of Amla in the next few overs and we should be favorites.
 
Have Boult bowl another 2-3 overs.

He's not going to be much use at the death.

Missed a trick by not persisting with Boult.

Others don't look like taking wickets.
 
Never got why people rated the SA's so highly in ODI's.

Aus and India are better sides imo

FTB's have 2 guaranteed ATG's who've won a WC.

Most ODI games are played on flat tracks, so those FTB's are more than a handful.

I don't think you can ever rule out a team with AB, Amla, Faf and Steyn

You can at WC's.

Aus and India are teams that scare me, if they get going, they'll butcher you.

SA to me are clinical, you know what you're going to get from them.

SA have 3 ATG & very good players in faf & duminy. They are a superior feilding team too.

Steyn isn't an ODI ATG and probably won't finish as one, he won't play enough ODI's to be considered one.

None of AB, Amla or Steyn are clutch.
 
Any idea which channel is covering this for Indian viewers? If at all i mean..

We always look good on paper. Pretty much in all WC's. Problem is playing robotic game and very little flair. Bigger problem is lack of confidence in knock outs. Those two things can kill you if other team gets going.

Look at it this way. Can you say that SA batting can chase big totals consistently? Can you say that SA can defend small totals consistently? Answer to both are doubtful but SA can play percentage game better than others. That's fine but it stops working when other team gets going in one match and that match happens to be a knock out.

I think SA has a better team this time with bit of flair in AB but I will keep my mouth shut for now.
