This my friend is such a sad reality! Those who are ready to die are alongside it keen on killing. Also, the other thing might well be the element of extreme nationalism and patriotism which people only display by hating people belonging to other countries.

This I would think is a matter of Theism and Atheism of course. An interesting thought nevertheless.

Study about hyenas! I think the biggest difference is that an animal doesn´t know like us human-beings that what he is up to is wrong or not. So in this sense, yes, we are more cruel since we realise that what we are doing is wrong.
