Afghanistan U19 thrash Pakistan U19 by 185 runs to win the ACC U19 Asia Cup

Why they have to bring minnow team like India in the discussion.... sara mood kharab kardiya

Shaheen reminds me of Zia ul Haq, just runs in and bowls without thinking about where to pitch it.

Shaheen need to correct his line and length he is a very good bowler otherwise will be another wahab riaz.

Actually more than anything I liked his thinking process in certain situations. He looks a pretty smart guy but still raw, this PSL will do him world of good.

He is probably a good bowler, I have only watched him bowl 2 overs and did not look anything speciall, could also be two of his worst overs.

at one mosque the inside loud speakers are loud enough to hear it from neighbouring buildings

it reminds me of my stay in India, the loudspeakers of the mosques were not loud enough to hear them even from 100 metres. where as here in Kashmir our loudspeakers always keep blazing.

btw what happened to him?

He still have skills but just lacks the attitude and hunger as we can see from Hassan Ali. This is my problem with most Pakistani bowlers, they have got the skills but just lack the aggression required.

Look at Rahat Ali to another example, I dont know if he would ever be aggresive even if a batsman slaps him. Skills were there and still are trust me on that.

Yes probably not his best two but still he needs to learn a lot but he has a lot of potential.

Nice smooth run up and nuce repeatable action, very good height and reasonable pace at his age and more importantly he has the aggression and not some crazy aggression which is a big plus considering his age.

Your buddies are at the ground?

They should be cuz they were inviting me to join them today earlier in the week......now come to think of it i should've confirmed it first lol

If they aren't there though that txt will look increasingly dodgy (to say the least) :)) :))

our bowlers should have bowled fuller after 30 overs .It is difficult to hit full deliveries on this pitch

Munir riaz out of the attack due to two full tosses

Lol! Shafqat had to ball the free hit of Munir Riaz

Lol he is out of the attack, spinner to bowl free hit

Wide, shabash give strike to the set batsman

Nice century from Ikram but I am hopeful there is one more to come in this match

Is munir riaz relative of wahab riaz wrt bowling looks he is.
He's been the highest wicket taker for Pakistan in this tourney, and outbowled Shaheen with the new ball. So he ain't bad.

Has defintely shown potential. Head position needs work, but there's something to work with.

I know it's two early to say but I feel Shafqat is a passenger in this bowling lineup

Lols what phainty! All because of the rubbish Riaz.

Sun is out, the wicket is gone very flat, no excuses for Pakistan.

Out

Shaheen Shah has been massively overrated on this forum. People still falling into the traditional trap of height / pace guaranteeing wickets.

We now have to play out of our skins to make these runs now.......Game is essentially gone now :(

Again...I seriously hope whatever the result is we make some much needed changes for the WC..this is a mickey mouse tournament....

He has been pretty impressive. I dont know which young bowlers you have seen that tear the batting lineups apart from the very start of their career

248 - it's a par score, Pakistan can chase this provided appeals don't go against us - there's no reviews

The fact still remains though. Shaheen was being projected as the second coming of McGrath. He did take some wickets in FC so there must be some truth to the hype, but he hasn't looked even close to what he was being marked to be. Best of luck to him nevertheless.

Amir? Starc? Rabada?

Rabada is an exception and what he did in his ODI debut he never did that inU19 level or T20 internationals which he played. Some players reach next level when they start their international career as Rabada has done or recently Hassan Ali. Nobody was expecting such performances from them this early even SA coaching staff admitted that for Rabada.

Shaheen is yet to play handful of domestic matches let alone internationals. I think he has the abilty to get the same level elevation once he gets to the big stage.

Amir or Starc never teared apart batting lineups at the start off their international careers. Amir only did well after his 7-10 test matches and that performance came in England. While Starc found his mojo around 2014 time. Before that all they had was potential.

And remmber the guy is just 17.

But what Amir and Starc did good was that they remain contributing at important stages of matches from the very young age along with other bowlers. In short they created an impact.

This is what we can see from today's perfromance of Shaheen he did bowl the last over pretty well.

65/35 in Pakistans favor, sun is out and pitch flat. A lot of burden on Naveen and Mujib
Am I the only one who thinks Afghanistan didn't get enough of their wickets in hand ?

Should have aimed for 270-80

Afghanistan is clear ahead because last time we bundled out 57 runs. I am not saying we will be outperformed again. We need to play really well to chase 248 runs

can anyone tell me why M hasnain(IU's emerging pick) is not in Pak squad?

Last Pakistan batted first, pressure of creating score without being familiar with conditions

Bro remember one thing hype is always more than the actual thing and that happens in all the sports. To me he looked the way I imagined, missed his first spell but have got to know he moved it a bit. There was no speedometer so cant comment in pace but was expecting a bit more nip, anyways with his action he can alwyas add on pace.

It can sometimes be bad for someone like Shaheen who is a very good bowler at his age but considering the hype people were expecting him to be some superhuman.

In any case, all the best wishes to the youngsta beauty. Will love to see a tall Shaheen ripping through Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant et al. once cricketing ties resume with India.

Mohammad Musa looked to me the fastest of the three quicks. He beat the batsmen many times with his pace but the edges went for boundaries 4 or 5 times . Other wise the figures would've been even better for him. He's got a good bouncer too.

Hahaha I wish the same. This PSL will be improtant for his growth especially under the guidance of Shoaib Akhtar.

To me he looked the weakest and slowest out of the lot, a nothing bowler.
