Semenyo just signed a new contract, so of Bournemouth were to sell it wouldn't be cheap. Plus they more then like would need time to get a replacement in.

Arteta is probably looking around the garbage bins as usual so garnacho, sancho or Jackson are more likely signings

Looks like Arsenal have already set sights on him. Apparently we’re looking to sign either him or Watkins.

I guess this is what we deserve for letting Delap go to Chelsea for £30m. The blues will demand double this amount for Jackson, who is behind Delap in the pecking order.

I think Watkins is great. PL experience and confident in front of goal.

Yes that would be ridiculous. Noni and Jackson acted like kids in that let me take the penalty fiasco. Don’t know why Arteta would want both of them here.

Arteta’s been getting his wingers all wrong starting with Willian, Sterling and now Noni.
 
Don’t write off Madueke before he has been given a chance. He cannot do worse than Martinelli.

As far as Jackson is concerned, no top striker will join Arsenal when they have Gyok, Havertz and Jesus.

If an average striker like Jackson is willing to join on a loan deal as the third or fourth choice CF who will give Gyok and Havertz a breather in domestic cups and allow Jesus to play more on the LW which he should, what’s the problem?

Even loan deals can go really wrong like Sterling last year. That move was doomed from the start, everyone knew Sterling was washed but Arteta still went for him, it took a dent in my confidence in his judgement.
 
I like Watkins a lot, but realistically, he will not move to a club in a World Cup season where he will be a second choice ST at best.

So after Arsenal greatest ever transfer window according to some 😉🫢 where Arsenal have new World class depth, 1 injury to the German donkey and Arsenal are back to failed merino being the back up striker.

Will only take a couple more injuries or suspensions and squad will be no different to last season. I can see some people throwing towel in early again
 
In my opinion and the way Arsenal work. If the injury is 4 months or less we are not signing anyone. We'll get the Jesus training videos he'll be back in about 2 months and 2 months later it's Havertz.

So we'll get by and get our excuse book ready

Arsenal back in for Eze after the injury to Havertz.

Jesus, Trossard and Merino can all play CF, even Martinelli, so they don’t exactly need another striker to replace Havertz.

Eze has verbally said yes to Spurs but he will never say yes to them if he has an offer on the table from Arsenal.

Eze signing will significantly strengthen Arsenals attacking Arsenal.

With Arsenals defensive set up being arguably the strongest out of the contenders.

This will put Arsenal as the firm favorites for the Title.

It's a massive upgrade on the attacking midfield options Odegaard, havertz, Merino.

He can play number 10, left 8, right 8.

If signed he should replace Odegaard in the 10, make rice captain

One injury and Mikels **** himself and clubs decide, oh we better get him in now

That's not judgement, that just usual reactive measures, rather then proactive.

If he signs fantastic, as i said before if we got eze and Rodrygo squads full stocked and manager has zero excuses not to deliver

Sometimes, the outcome matters not the rationale.

Klopp wanted to sign Brandt over Salah in 2017 before the club overruled him.

It is true that Arsenal didn’t pursue Eze until Havertz got injured. They flirted with the idea but didn’t think they had space for him.

But who cares? If he comes now, he will easily displace Martinelli as the starting LW because he is too good a player to be on the bench.

Havertz’s injury has proved to be a blessing in disguise.

We still need a left Winger.

The trossard pay rise makes zero sense, as no one else wanted to pay his wages now, no one will when his contract runs out in 2 years.

If I was Berta I would be offering Trossard, Martinelli and even Merino to clubs before this window shuts.

Eze out wide on left would be massive up grade, but he would be better used as either left 8 or 10. We need creativity centrally. Also he has a brain in regards to progressive passing without thinking.

Pretty much Gyokeres is going to play all PL and CL games, so Arsenal still need another forward

If that means all off sudden binning off certain players so be it

Arteta will not drop Odegaard. Nor will he replace him as Captain. Thought he was Arsenals best midfielder against Utd.

Likely, Eze will play as a winger .

On a serious note, it’s a big shame of Havertz. He looked so strong and determined. This could have been his best season to date. Hopefully, it’s not long-term and he is back soon.

Odegaard was Arsenal most dangerous and lively player at OT. Everyone else apart from Zubi and the defenders were crap. Saka and Rice in particular were shocking.
 
If eze signing is completed you will see a difference in ball progression, massive difference of zubemendi playing it into eze, instead of merino, havertz or Odegaard who can't pass wind let alone a decent pass.

Best way to use eze would be like Arsenal use to use players like hleb, rosicky, nasri. Players who could play one touch in tight spaces.
 
Only danger Odegaard was on Sunday was to his own team. Keeping ball to long, over hit passes infront Gyokeres. Lost 2 or 3 times and we got countered. If that was dowman or eze in those positions with the ball on Sunday, then Gyokeres debut looks a lot different.

Eze knows how to play with a target man, having played with mateta, so he will understand when to pass, when to release the ball. Instead of spinning around in a circle and passing side ways. Also knows how to drift with ball in cramped spaces, last time we had player to do that was ESR, but obviously Eze is a better player to carry out play in such a manner.

If he was even half decent on Sunday, then Gyokeres debut wouldn't have looked as bad as it did. He was starved of ammunition because of Odegaard in ability to play a decent progressive pass with any sort of accuracy or pace

Sakah was very subdued. So where zubemendi and Rice. Which was surprising.

Exactly, this sort of signings should have been made at start of the summer.

If it had been made start of the summer, there would have been then no need to sign madueke or even norgaard.

Essentially the only back ups needed were a number 2 keeper and CB

All other signings should have been statement signings
 
I was hoping Arsenal would've been more ruthless with Odegaard and put him up for sale during this transfer window.

Some of the criticism towards him I'm reading is so harsh. I'd give him a 7/10 for that performance. Yes I know he overhit a few passes and there was couple of occasions where he was overthinking. But in my view he was Arsenal's best outfield player during the 90 mins.

Saliba and Gabriel were not at their best during the first half.

Rice, Saka and Martinelli had serious stinkers. That was the worst performance I think I've seen from Saka in an Arsenal shirt.
