Arsenal are in woeful form. After tonight's loss to Wolves, they find themselves in 14th place. They lack goals.
They lack creativity in midfield and have two strikers devoid of any confidence.
At the moment it's difficult to see what Arteta is trying to achieve. His vision has blurred..
It would be completely dumb to sack Arteta because the board didn’t give him the signings he wanted.
He was very keen on a creative midfielder and we can see why. The board let him down by failing to sign Aouar.
Ever since Mamoon stated that Arteta is the next Pep.......
Ever since Mamoon stated that Arteta is the next Pep.......
Only a fool would blame this on Arteta. He arrived in last year December and then COVID hit. He didn’t get the players he wanted in the summer and now people want him gone because he hasn’t worked miracles with a mentally weak and crap squad without even having a full season.
Pep Guardiola is currently languishing 6th with a billion dollar squad that he built from scratch. Do you think he can take this Arsenal losers to Spurs and produce a result? Some people have no patience and do not have the determination to back the right people.
If Arsenal sack Arteta today, they will be taking two steps backwards and nothing will change apart from the “new manager bounce” that almost inevitable happens but lasts about a couple of months.
Arsenal is in shambles not because of Arteta but because of the way the club is ran from the top. Where do I begin? We will be hear all day. But let me summarize.
Arsenal have wasted nearly 200m+ on frauds like Xhaka, Mustafi, Torreira, Pepe and Lacazette in the last 4 years. If this money was used wisely Arsenal would now have a proper core.
Ozil was given a huge bumper contract when he was washed up and at no point in his Arsenal career, perhaps apart from the first half of 2015-16, did he produce performances worthy of that money.
Arsenal have had a Madrid player on loan for 2 years now and there is no option to buy. And he is not even good.
Which top 6 Premier League club loans an average player for two years without even a buy clause in the contract? Why is the club wasting time on Ceballos when he has no future at this club? Arsenal is not Madrid Castilla.
Arteta wanted a creative midfielder and all the club got was a washed up Brazilian from Chelsea.
These problems go beyond Arteta and sacking him will not change anything. The next manager will also face the same problems.
Arsenal is trying very hard to become “modern” with this director of football and technical director nonsense that will not take the club anywhere. Keep it simple and relevant - back the manager with funds and let him sign the players he wants so that he can build his own team and thus be held accountable for performances.
Unless and until Arteta is not backed in the market with the players that he actually wants to buy and sell, it would be absurd to pin the blame on his head. Man United had the same problem after SAF and looks like Arsenal is heading in that direction as well.
You might be right on Arteta and I agree that he needs to be backed until the season (at the very least).
But you were wrong on Raul Sanllehi and Ozil. We would have been in prime position to sign Ziyech if he we actually pursued his acquisition as he's an Arsenal fan himself. Instead we brought Pepe.
Ozil may not be the player he was at Madrid but he is still levels above any other midfielder in this team. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I can say for a fact that it isn't performance/work ethic related. Even a half fit Ozil would walk into this team.

Arteta needs to be backed until he can build his own team. He has inherited a dysfunctional squad and several signings have been forced on him.
He should be given the January window as well as the summer window and any discussion of him getting sacked should be off the table at least until the end of 2021-22 season.
If Arsenal refuse to be patient now they will end up with 4 different managers in 4-5 years with the team making no progress.
I don't think anyone is asked for him to be sacked.
He just needs to back a few more of the youngsters especially for the likes of Willian.
Also, Partay should never have started yesterday, maybe on the bench but thats it.
At least Spurs love Arteta.

It is not hard for any creative player to be levels above others in this team. It is the least creative team in PL.
Ozil is obviously not playing because of non-footballing reasons - his fate was sealed when he criticized China on Twitter and it cost the club millions.
Arteta cannot pick him even if he wants to. Unless there is a massive injury crisis or if he gets on his knees and begs forgiveness, he will not play for Arsenal again.
However, Ozil did not deserve a £350k/week contract in 2018. With a smart transfer policy, he was easily replaceable in 2018 and he is easily replaceable in 2020.
Ozil milked the club to the bone because Sanchez was leaving and Wenger could not have a repeat of the 2011 crisis when both Fabregas and Nasri left at the same time.
But Arsenal’s financial situation in 2018 was not comparable to 2011. In 2018, the club had the resources to replace both Sanchez and Ozil without impacting the quality of the team.
Mate even a half fit Nelson or Maitland Niles would have been better the Willian.
Time for Arteta to make up with Ozil and get him back in the team.
I was never in favour of bringing someone who was inexperienced and without a proven track record.
Arsenal fans need to realise that we cocked up by opting for him over Mourinho who has undoubtedly done wonders at Spurs.
Arsenal board proving yet again why it is the worst run football club in the whole PL.

Mamoon, for whatever reason you haven't replied to my quotes to you on Arteta.
I like Arteta and agree that he needs transfer windows and fine to improve us. But if current results continued for another month or so, would you still stick with Arteta?
Also aren't you worried about how he has managed certain situations? I won't get into the Ozil situation but his treatment of Saliba and dismissal of Guendozi over 1 falling out is not great man management. I also don't like how he has treated Ainsley Maitland-Niles who is a better footballer than Hector Bellerin.
Yes, I will stick with Arteta because I don’t think that any manager in the world right now can turn things around at Arsenal without getting proper investment in the market.
You give Klopp this Arsenal team and he will do what he did in his first season at Liverpool - finish 8th.
Also, people need to calm down a bit. Arsenal will not get relegated and not finish 13-14th. They will still make the top 8 along with Leicester and Everton and of course the other members of the big 6.
Arsenal have two choices: sack Arteta now, and end up with 3-4 managers in 3-4 years with almost no improvement, and this is what happened at United.
Or they can stick with Arteta, have faith in his credentials and see where he takes the team after 2-3 proper windows.
In my opinion, any talks of sacking Arteta should be off the table until the end of next season. He deserves the January window the summer window and the full season next year. By then, he will be in a position where he could be held accountable because the squad will have his imprints.
Arteta has been around for a year now, but within a few months, COVID hampered football and he wasn’t backed in the market, and now in his first full season people want him sacked even though it is only December.
You sack him now, you will get a new manager bounce which will create false hopes, and then normal business will resume next season if the new manager is not backed in the window.
Saliba was overhyped to the moon by Arsenal fans who thought they had signed the next Varane who would hit the ground running from day 1. Even though, no one knew anything about him apart from a few YouTube clips.
Now that he hasn’t become first choice under Arteta from day 1, people think he has been mistreated.
When he was loaned back to St. Ettienne last season, he missed a huge chunk of the campaign because of injury.
He is yet to have one full campaign as a starter and play 30+ matches and Arsenal fans think he is ready to start in the PL or Europa.
Arteta watches him in training every day. He is clearly not impressed what he has seen. I see nothing wrong with loaning him out for a season or at least half a season where he can play regularly.
Guendouzi is a headless chicken who plays with no discipline and has a bad attitude. Loaning him out to a German club is far from the worst thing that could have happened to him. If he does well he can be a starter at Arsenal next season. If not, he can be loaned again or sold.
The midfield will see a lot of activity in the next two windows. Ceballos will finally leave, one of Xhaka/Elneny will also head for the exit door, Torreira will not come back and there will be some signings as well. If Guendouzi proves himself he will get a chance.
Maitland-Niles is an average footballer who is not good enough to start in any position. However, he is a useful squad player who can cover multiple positions.
At the moment, it doesn’t matter if he or Bellerin starts - it is a position that needs to be upgraded.
Bellerin is decent, but he had the potential to be one of the best RB in the world before he caught with all the fashion, veganism and other nonsense social activism stuff that is hampering his football career.
If Arsenal can recoup 15-20 million for him, it will be good business. Perhaps he can be sold more. After all, the club scammed Everton into paying £40m for Iwobi.
Yes. I believe he is going to be an absolutely brilliant manager. If the Arsenal board give proper backing, I see him making Arsenal a major force again. I am very glad that they didn’t settle for a washed up, past it manager like Ancelotti.
Experience is overrated. If you are good enough, you are good enough. If not, you can manage a 1,000 matches and you will still struggle.
Arsenal deserve this humiliation.
The time for penny pinching on each player position and manager are costing this club everything! Avoid relegation and to all out in the Europa league now.
Please ensure the services of Allegiri and just give the guy a blank chequebook for crying out loud!
Why would Allegri come to Arsenal?...
Also the non-spending thing is a broken record...Pepe was 75m...Saliba was 30m...Mustafi was 35m...
Arsenal spend and being a desperate club also negotiate silly contracts which is why they find players impossible to shift...Bellerin makes more money than Grealish...Mustafi is on the same salary as Maddison ...
They do things like offer 3 year contracts to Willian and Auba with inflated wages...
The worst example of their let’s buy mercenaries approach was Partey...he was on 47k a week at Atletico ...no-one bid on him except Arsenal yet his agent sorted a deal of 250k a week and a £5m agents fee...
If there is one thing this board is shocking at it is identifying players and negotiating contracts...the amount of deadwood grows season on season...
Who else would you have besides a proven manager who can work with world class players? Arsenal messed up when they had the opportunity to sign Mourinho and Ancelotti. I’m afraid Arteta is in a deeper hole then he can fathom. How can a club like Arsenal lose 4 games at home in a row to nobodies?? How can Arsenal players produce 2 red cards in the space of 3 games where the players have no control over their emotions??
This is what happens when you make an ex team mate the club manager! A bit like making the 6th form head to become the year 11 captain. A £350k a week player is basically being allowed to earn money for nothing and this guy is the reason! He is so rubbish that he could not even off-load him during the summer anywhere else
We’ve tried all of these bargain hunt approaches. It is time to really go hard now! Arsenal’s star signings are hardly £75m and Liverpool are buying Goal Keepers, centre backs at that price who are now worth double that value!
How is a defender like Van Dijk not worth £150m right now in the market? Clearly the head of talent acquisition is a complete joke who wants to find Randoms and make them look far better than they are. Sanchez was our best ever signing tbh, since then we have had no clue on how to spend money.
They need a player/match winner of Neymar, Mbappe, Salah, De Bruyne or someone of this quality to lift this squad.
Ozil is most certainly not rubbish...the better question is who would meet his 350k a week salary which he has every right to sit on ...
On Ozil I really don’t know if it’s Arteta’s fault...I’ve said before that I think exiling Ozil is an executive decision cos of him pissing off China...but then again who knows...for the life of me I can’t understand what’s happening with Saliba...he’s also made man management mistakes with Guendouzi ...these two are both very talented players who are not currently playing ....
The problem with Arsenal is thinking above their station and I don’t mean this to be rude...you’re a Europa team and have been for 5 seasons...consequently your main attraction is the CL wages you offer...
And elite players or top prospects will go elsewhere either cos those clubs can match arsenal for salary or they want a higher standard of football...Szob chose Leipzig for example...there is no way Aouar comes now and if he does it’s cos you offer 350k a week...is that the type of player you want?...
Where you did do penny pinching was you didn’t get a top manager post Emery...Spurs did and it’s showing ...but the thing is now would a Poch want to come to Arsenal now?...it may sound silly but someone like Moyes would be excellent for you in your current situation ...knows how to deal with a difficult board, is a good coach who has a clear style of play ...he’s overachieving with West Ham...the star managers are out of your reach imo...
The star managers look out of our reach but this is still a prestigious club and the fan base is one of the most passionate in London. There are still more Arsenal fans in London even though Chelsea has been the better side for over 12-13 years. All is not lost, but they should now do what they can to get Allegeri for the money he wants, plus give him the budget he wants to get that side he needs. We are in no position to experiment anymore, the experiments have all failed. It is sad to see Arsene Wenger not being given this kind of money that was afforded to Emeri and to some extent Arteta. He did wonderfully well considering he was allowed to make one marque signing (£30-40M) at an average of once every 7-8 years during his reign.
If Allegeri or Poch are available, these two should be our prime targets and let’s not risk it with guys like Moyes. Arteta was a huge gamble and it is not working at all now.
You can provide a budget but can you attract the players?...
If this was one season of mediocrity then maybe but you’re on a downward trajectory...5th-8th-fighting relegation ...
You have an unambitious board...
Things like history, fanbase and stadium don’t really rank highly when a player chooses a club...
A player would still choose Chelsea over you and Spurs and for a lower salary than what you offer...
And that’s the thing there are no easy fixes here...even if your new manager is given a huge war chest ...being manager of Arsenal is starting to look like a poisoned chalice...Emery was not a bad manager at all for example...
Please tell us more)
Arteta is the worse manager in the history of EPL
cant belive arsenal fans compared him to ole,) he makes ole look like sir alex Ferguson.
Mamoon will obviously support anything wrong, when mamoon jumps left this is clear indication its time to go right.)
I have never seen such a bad man manger in my life. Hes taking Arsenals best players and running them down in the ground, there was a time when arsenal fans feared they'll Guendouzi only for RM or Barca to come calling, now hes gone, he had the EPLs most inform and best striker and has turned him into another Welbeck. You can give this guy messi and ronaldo and he'll have them playing like theo walcot and dele ali
Just compare arsenal and tottenham now, when this guy took over arsenal and spurs had pretty much equal sides, average team with a great striker and you look were mourinho has taken spurs and arsenal are now heading to the championship.
hes a Spainish Allydace, but even worse.
Arsenal should take my advise and bring back Arsene Wenger, like i said at the time emery was sacked, a break is all great individuals need to get back to there best.
Im willing to agree with everything you said but calling Ancelotti "washed up, past it" is uncalled for.
He has won everything everywhere he has gone and definitely looking a lot better than Arteta right now..
Everton are not a top club but Ancelotti is still getting the best out of them..
Arteta will be be one of the best managers in the world. He is being let down by a dysfunctional squad with pathetic mentality. This is the most unlikable Arsenal squad ever. A bunch of entitled, average footballers with no work ethic and discipline.
If the board have no patience and make Arteta a scapegoat it will be their loss in the long run. If not at Arsenal he will end up proving his worth at another club. Right now, no manager in the world can sort the hot mess that Arsenal is without proper investment in the market.
If Arsenal sack him City will still look at him as a potential successor to Pep. They worked him with for 3 years, they saw what he is capable of, how much he helped players like Sterling and Sane and how his in-game management influenced Pep as well.
In 2017-18 and 2018-19, City scored a lot of goals with cutback crosses, and it was Arteta who came up with that idea. It is just one example of his influence at City which armchair critics do not see.
Pep is 9th with City this season after spending a fortune and spending 4 years at the club, but somehow Arteta is joker if he is currently 15th with this Arsenal squad without even having a full season with these nothing players and having no backing in the market.
Experience is overrated. Wenger couldn’t arrest Arsenal’s decline in his last years in spite of being the most experienced manager in English football post SAF retirement.
Emery was rubbish - the 6-1 defeat to Barcelona should have had the alarm bells ringing to the Arsenal Board before they signed him ..
Should have pushed harder to get Ancelotti or Allegri..
You don’t have to expose your lack of knowledge and perception all the time. Calling Sterling rubbish and inferior to Depay and calling Maguire better than VVD were enough.
Ole is a poor manager with no long-term future. He also gets flogged by Arteta every time they play each other. Ole is always a sacking waiting to happen and Bruno’s penalties are keeping him in the job. Ole is a one trick pony - play a diamond formation against an attacking team and try and hit them on the counter.
He is a sitting duck against teams who sit deep.
10 years from today, there will be virtually no comparison between him and Arteta as managers. Arteta will leave him behind and I hope it is at Arsenal.
Also, Spurs and Arsenal were not at the same level before Mourinho and Arteta took over. The Spurs team were much better and they were fresh off playing in the UCL final. They were a genuine top 4 side. The Arsenal team that Arteta took over (and still has) was below that level.
Spurs were underperforming under Pochettino in his last season because he had lost the dressing room and the team spirit was very low after the UCL final. Also, Pochettino’s decision to buckle under pressure and start an unfit Kane in the final (who could barely move) over semifinal hero Lucas did not sit well with Levy, plus his inability to win anything with a very good squad proved to be his undoing.
If Arsenal had managed to rope in Mourinho instead of Arteta, it would be deja vu for Mourinho. He would be in the same position he was in his last seasons at Chelsea and Man United. He would be throwing the players under the bus, sucking the life out of the squad and waiting to get sacked.
At Spurs he looks like the Special One again because he has two brilliant players who have great understanding and a host of other quality players. At Arsenal, he would have continued to look like the Sacked One.
Arsene Wenger is done as a manager. He is out of touch with modern football and his old school coaching style and tactics do not work anymore. He failed to evolve. He was a manager of the 90s and 2000s, not 2010s and 2020s.
There is a reason why he never got a tempting offer after leaving Arsenal and is now working in some useless, ceremonial role at FIFA.
4 straight home defeats in the premier league
How is this guy not sacked yet? This is why the Arsenal Manager’s job is the most rewarding managerial job in the world. You can get away with murder as the Arsenal manager, and the fans are the ones who suffer!
Most of the players coming through the academy are quite average. The fans are overrating them because the first-team players are dross, and they are desperate for the young players to salvage the season.
Apart from Emile Smith Rowe and Saka, the other academy players do not look like they have high ceilings. Balogun and Azeez look interesting but it is too early to tell.
Most of these Hale End players do not have good techniques and have poor passing range. Not sure if the German beanpole has much to offer as an academy coach.
Would rather have someone like Cazorla guide the academy players.

Emile Smith Rowe, Saka, Balogun, Azeez, Martinelli (I know he wasn't part of the academy but is still young), Nelson, Maitland Niles, Willock all have very good potential and they should be played in the first team now rather then later. There is no way in hell that Willian should be ahead of Maitland Niles let alone Nelson, Wilock or Smith Rowe.
Quality trolling by Ozil on twitter...
He’s tweeted the official Arsenal page ‘need help??‘...
Guendouzi and Saliba mocking Arteta on Instagram and now Ozil on Twitter. Also Lucas Torreira ‘liked’ that Ozil tweet before Ozil deleted it.
Embarrassing for the club.
