Asia Cup 2023: Super 4: Pakistan vs India | 10-11 September | Colombo | India innings

This game is reminding me of 1st ODI from 2004 Jeet Lo Dil series.

India put up 349 then. Pakistan ended up at 344.
 
Have always said that Shadab is a complete fraud of a cricketer. Imad wipes the floor with him.

With this run rate defeat i am afraid pak will not reach final even if they beat sri lanka
 
Been saying this for the past 2 years. Pakistan can only beat these teams in bilaterals where other teams send their C teams

Pakistan has not been in this sort of situation in a while. This is unchartered territory for Pak bowlers.
 
Pakistan need a couple of wickets and then anything can happen. India can still end up with 270
 
I want to Laugh at Our Pakistani fans😂😂😂😂Itna over emotional drama baaz hai sara. Bad time aya tu bhaag nikale. India ko bana de jitna bana hai. I expect pakistan to chase it down.

Any half-decent bowling attack would have realized this is not the wicket where you go after the batter.

Our boys are attacking too much, while this is more about keeping your discipline and make the batsmen make mistakes.
 
Pakistan is not going to reach the semi's. We have a very average team with average batters & just above average 2 fast bowlers.
 
Don't understand the overreaction. The match is not over yet. 1-2 wickets here and the momentum will shift. We have seen that happening many times

actually rain spared Pakistan's blushes in the group game. They were never going to chase 267 under lights in SL.

Some people were saying NRR wasn't important because Pakistan could win all games.

It is difficult to win all games, unless you are Ricky Ponting's Australia.

It’s about how mentally defeated these boys look right after Shaheen got attacked.

Rizwan looks completely shell-shocked and shattered.
 
Even if pakistan lose this match, its not a big deal, they can still make it to finals. Rather good time to test their batsmen.

Captain always get all the blame from fans. Shadab has been bowling poorly for years now and for some reason get away from all the criticism.

That is only because the opposition batsmen tend to allow them to settle. These are nothing bowlers who cannot react when they are under the pump.

As I have said numerous times, Pakistani bowlers are like soda bottles. They make a loud pop but there is nothing inside.

Just hit them for a couple of boundaries in their first over and watch them unravel.

Won't happen this time. This is not that type of the pitch. Pakistani should better bring out jai namaz & hope that highest team score in ODI's isn't breached today.

Apart from Shaheen and Shadab, everyone has bowled well. Just couldn't turn it into wickets. And we have only missed one chance.

The only thing worrying is Babar's captaincy. He goes into his shell very quickly. Shadab hasn't been great either for quite some time.

Full strength India would still pound full strength Pakistan 8/10 times. All this ranking and best bowling this and that means nothing.

Interesting how the meltdown started with Shaheen, who you apparently rate very highly.

His spell set the tone for this innings.
 
Shaheen caused this all with his crappy leg side bowling.

There’s no way he bowls like that in the nets.

He is a wicket-taker, the likes of Starc and Boult get hammered too.

I’m looking at Naseem Shah who has zero ability and knack to take wickets. All this he is unlucky etc. means nothing to me.

There are no pictures on the scorecard. There is a reason why he has high averages in Test cricket against the top sides.

Trio of pacers is fine, you can have a odd day !

Shadab other hand is awful atm, just ordinary bowling. Usama or Abrar are better options for 50 over game!

I don't get the obsession over Shaheen. He's a very average bowler when the ball doesn't swing. He's just hyped because he gets wicket in his first over because of the ball swinging. Doesn't have any bowling IQ when the ball goes gun barrel straight.

So on helpful surfaces they aren't anything special then right? Doesn't that mean they can only do well on flatties?

We have seen the same trio struggle vs spin/swing over the last 4 years. They still have the same exploitable weaknesses. Only good when it's flat.

Shaheen has an issue with losing his head completely when attacked.

Too many instances that has happened. Unfortunately, he ends up setting the wrong tone and the whole team flattens as a result.
 
Poor call at the toss. That's precisely where the game was lost. Yes this game is done.
